From the first call to the last, EmPower Solar employees were professional, knowledgable, and took a personal interest in assuring that everything went smoothly. We researched several solar power companies and decided on EmPower based on the knowledge of the salesperson and online reviews. Not knowing too much about the whole system, we had several questions and each and every one was answered quickly, professionally and with enthusiasm. When installation time came, the staff could not have been more courteous and professional. They explained every step, were very careful to be neat, made sure that every detail was attended to promptly. We have recommended EmPower to several friends and business acquaintances, and so far they are all extremely pleased!

Did original installation several years ago. Was the only company to get upon my roof to measure area as the panels needed to go around a skylight and vent for bath. Original installation went very smooth on time and budget. Repair from sandy damage also smooth and reasonably priced. I recommend them to who ever is installing solar panels

I contacted EmPower about having an evaluation and estimate for a solar electricity installation at my home, and they sent a representative out to my house within a few days. The rep sat down with me and knowledgeably answered a slew of detailed questions I had, and then spent a couple hours on my roof (in the hot sun) getting an accurate measurement of how an installation would perform for me. This was important because my situation (the orientation of the solar panels) was borderline to qualify for local utility rebates. While the 'engineering department' came up with a system for my roof, the rep was available to discuss many more questions I had via email, and it was clear that he took my questions and discussion seriously, and he brought my discussion points to the higher ups at EmPower. All of this was without getting a dime from me. Ultimately, they concluded that I would just barely fail to qualify for the utility rebates, and decided it was unethical to fudge numbers or lie on the rebate application. In hindsight I understand that it's their own butts on the line if the installation fails qualification in a potential audit by the utility company, however I think both EmPower & I knew that it would indeed likely pass such an audit, and that the thing to do was not fudge the numbers, but lobby for changes in the rebate program (for both the qualification standards, and for inclusion of electric vehicles as expected future loads). Throughout, I felt the folks at EmPower to be very knowledgeable, courteous, ethical, and professional, and I would recommend them as a potential solar installation provider. Ultimately, I went with someone else who I felt also met those characteristics, but cost less, when the rebate program's qualification rules eventually did change. And I'm still hopeful that EmPower will continue to lobby for what is right about including electric vehicle loads in the rebate program.

I highly recommend this company. They are excellent. We have recommended them and people have called us for recommendations. They are professional and did a wonderful job. Now all of our electricity is paid for by the solar panels. We had it done in December of last year because we wanted to qualify for very large rebates offered by the state and power company that were going to expire at the end of December. They luckily did the job in plenty of time so that we benefitted by all the rebates. They were wonderful to deal with and cleaned up after the job. If any problems occured they were there within the day. They were really responsive. The job was done within a few days.

They are a great company. They did an incredible job. I highly recommend them. They were very phenomenal, professional, detailed, and excellent. I have also had many people call me for references for them, and I am always happy to do that. We got a quote from someone else also and then we had a friend who had solar panel installed in their house by Empower. That is how we got to know about them. They were terrific and really excellent. It is a very caring and thorough company. They even followed up with us. We are really lucky that everything went so well.

They were very responsive and they made a contract for the annual maintenance. They told us that we needed to have a tree removed before they installed the system, and they did a very good job. They explained everything in detail. They told us the tree had to go because it would block the maximum efficiency of the solar panels. A good feature we have is that we can monitor our energy production online, and there is a wireless meter inside the house that reads out our production once the sun comes up.
