Empower Solar was excellent from start to finish: sales, permits, project management, installation. Super professional all around (and clean). They use panels from SunPower which are some of the best in the business (efficiency and warranty). We had them upgrade our electric panel, and install solar panels with a Powerwall backup battery system.

Excellent. On time, on budget, professional with excellent in-house engineering and design services. I have had the system for 3 years now and these guys have been super in all regards.

EmPower by SunPower highly recommended, I did a lot of research before decided to go with EmPower by SunPower, their proposal was not the cheaper but I would say they are the best. Great communication, an assigned project manager handling your project from start to finished and let you know every step of the way in progress. The crews that installing the system did an excellent jobs, good workmanship and they not using cheap material. My system commissioned couple days ago, I have sixteen X22 360 watt panel, it produced average 27 kWh/day even its not 100% sunny day, it cover all my daily electric usage with spare to sent back to the grid. Still waiting for final inspection to close out the building Dept permit, according to my project manager it takes approximately a month, will update that when certificate of completion received. It’s too early to say 100% satisfy will update from time to time for a long terms review for the progress of the system reliability and stability of power production.

I was very happy with the service I received from initial sign up to now a year after installation. I would absolutely recommend them for anyone looking to install solar panels on their home. No aggressive sales people and very good customer support. System was installed May 2017 and I am still receiving support/reminders from them.

Empower Solar installed our system in December 2009. They did a wonderful job then, and continue to be wonderful to deal with. We have not paid an electric bill since it was installed. Any service we needed since then was taken care of immediately. Every single person we dealt with in the organization was great. We couldn't recommend them any more highly.

Empower installed our solar panels 9 years ago. They did a wonderful job at the time and we couldn't be happier with this company, the people we dealt with, and the work they did. We have a large house and have not paid an electric bill in 9 years. Any small repairs that were required over the years were taken care of very quickly. Anyone they sent was great.

It went perfect. The company is extremely professional and supportive. They spent the time inspecting our roof and studying what has to be done. They processed the loan. They processed the building permit. I did nothing but sign the papers and now am enjoying the free electricity. In the summer I am making 265% of the electricity I am using. TOO COOL. My electric bills have been $11. 54 each month. YEA!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SUNPOWER BY EMPOWER.

I had been looking in to solar for a long time, and I finally decided to do it over last summer. I searched reviews of different companies and finally found Empower Solar on Angie's List. Their review was great, but I was still nervous (as I always am). Now that the process is fully done, I couldn't be any happier. The people at Empower from Mat who got our estimate, to Alexandra who helped coordinate and get permits, etc, and Dave & team who got the panels up on the roof were all phenomenal!! I really can't say enough!! I would recommend them to anyone, anywhere!! They were always on time. There was no mess in the house. They were on budget and so far their estimates of energy production have been great. They did not over sell me either, and there were no pressure tactics in their sales pitch. I really felt comfortable the whole way. As for the system, it's been up for a week, and I've already made more Electricity than I've used. Pretty much, I'm not expecting my electric meter to budge much from when the system was installed. I think that is just so cool!! Empower Solar all the way!!

Everything went very well. They were very careful about doing the work, they were on time, they explained what they were going to be doing, they completed the job on time.

Empower was wonderful to work with. The installation was flawless and they could not have been nicer to deal with. We recommend them very highly.

Look no further, They know what they are doing and finished the job on time and quality work, I am very picky when it comes to the curb appeal of my house and they installed all the equiplent on the side of my house and it does not look like some one just throw bunch of equipment on the wall, they spend time and it looks neat, They monitor performance of the panels so if anything goes wrong they reach out to me before I reach out to them, They are reliable and I even recommend them to my brother and he has solar pannels installed at his house as well an he loves it. Savings are termendous and my electric bill is $150 cheaper vs what I was paying before.

It went absolutely fantastic. This is actually my second home outfitted with solar panels installed by EmPower. The first system went in without an issue and I enjoyed $12 a month electric bills. My family and I then moved and I went back to $160 a month electric bills on my new home. I had enough of that. In April of this year I had the guys from EmPower install another system and now enjoying $12 a month bills once again. I have a 5 bedroom home with an in ground pool and central A/C. I couldn't be happier. Look no further than this great company.

Fantastic service. EmPower did a great job from start to finish. They handled all the details, from permitting and design through installation and commissioning. Everyone was great to work with, from the sales staff to the project manager to the installation crew. They sell a high quality solar panel, with a great app for tracking energy production and savings. I highly recommend EmPower to anyone looking to go solar.

I cannot say enough how absolutely satisfied that I am that I went SOLAR - but even happier that I went with SunPower by Empower! This was by far the best home improvement project I have ever undertaken - no regrets, no guessing, complete confidence and satisfaction. Dylan was very accommodating in setting up delivery and installation, working around my crazy schedule. Onsite installation by DAVID MECKES was lightning fast! His entire team was so friendly, efficient and professional. They banged out my project quicker than I could have imagined. David's follow up visit to complete the work and commission wrapped everything up in a nice package! So far my system has met all of my expectations! So easy to monitor and the panels look great! I will be happy to mention my chance run in with SAM at the beach a few days ago; as one of my installer he had such kind words and his comments were sincere and appreciated! Once again, THANK YOU. everyone in the company was very helpful. The sales person was very thorough in his presentation and answered all questions from the start of the program, through all the loans, to the product delivery to installation. The installers put the system together in on day, we have over 20 panels, so that was impressive. Workers were polite and let the place completely cleaned when they were done. I don't know of anything they could have done to make this a better experience.

I found Empower on my own, they did not have a deal with Angie's List at that time. I looked at a handful of companies and explored the benefits of both buying and leasing. Everyone is different, but I found buying to be the best option for me. I ultimately decided on Empower as the right company for me based on their presentation. I found their representative, Steve Skira, was very knowledgeable and professional. He was prepared for the meeting and explained the whole process in a manner I could understand. Once I agreed to the process, I did hit a snag. The original design did not pass Empower's safety inspection. Not that they designed an unsafe project. Instead we met a degree of uncertainty. My design was utilizing the roof of an extension of the home. Since I am the new homeowner, I did not have the blueprints showing us the beams. Here is where I feel Empower really was the right choice. They took their time, sent numerous engineers to check the roof to make sure that my roof could withstand the weight of the panels, as well as whatever mother nature has in store (i.e. snow, rain, and ice). Ultimately the engineers determined that the extension did meet their safety measures and the project proceeded. I feel that other companies would not have been as cautious. It was never a question to them if the roof could hold the weight of the solar panels. The question was could it also hold mounds of snow and ice along with it? They were extremely cautious, but when you are dealing with safety, that is something you want. It took them two days to install the solar panels, and their crew was extremely polite and respectful of my home. They cleaned up after themselves, there was no mess anywhere. With the exception of the panels on the roof, there was no evidence that I even had a crew working on my home. I would definitely recommend Empower. The people who work there are professionals and are extremely respectful. Finally, the tax benefits are very enticing. The representative explained how the government tax credits work. Many people challenged this when I told them how it was explained to me. People thought it was a sales tactic where they overpromise. That is certainly not the case. I just spoke with my CPA and the tax credits I had anticipated was dead on.

Their estimate was easier to understand and the pricing was very good. If we were going to do it, we were going to use them, they were our first choice.

Right from the beginning, this was an excellent company to deal with. We already had some solar quotes so we knew in general the range. The rep from Empower was thorough and honest in dealing with us from the beginning. At first we were going to lease, but after explaining it all, purchase was a better option. Once we committed, we were assigned a team of people that worked with use to get the financing, , system design, permits, approvals, etc. We literally did not have to do anything but be home to let them in. The team that did the install were an exceptional group of guys. They were professional, neat and efficient workers. The project was completed in 3 days. The team later came back to install squirrel guards and close out the permit with the town. I have to say, this was one of the easiest projects we have ever done. Empower is a great company and highly recommend them.

I called and gave them our address. They looked it up and told me that the NYC fire code effectively prevented a solar installation on a house as small as ours. I appreciate the knowledge and honesty this took. After the call, I researched the NYC fire code and discovered they were correct.

I had recently scheduled a visit with EmPower Solar to come to my property to assess the viability of solar options for our building. I had called and scheduled a visit with someone from their main office. I outlined the issues with my building. They were responsive and asked for follow up information which we were able to provide timely. Then on their recommendation, they suggested a site visit which we accommodated. On the night before they were to come to the site, they emailed to cancel the appointment due to lack of sufficient space on the roof top to reduce our energy expense. I called back to discuss this but was never responded to. So not only did we rearrange our schedule to meet them, they then canceled in the last minute and would not give us the courtesy of a five minute phone call for follow up. So we will take our business elsewhere and unless you have a sizable roof top and the project is profitable enough for them, I would suggest you do also.

They were great. They were top-notch. I had no issues with them whatsoever.
