Description of Work: Appointment for the estimate was set between 8am-9am. “Ben” from the company called at 9:50 saying they would be at house for 10:20. When asked why they would be late, he offered no explanation or apology. Here’s a tip, if you can’t show up on time for the estimate, you probably won’t get the job.

Description of Work: Duffy electric installed a Generac generator . |I was happy with the job, but the mess they left was really upsetting. They were covered with mud walked through my house and just had a general disregard for my property.

Description of Work: Came in for a evaluation and measurement, did not catch the fact that the range hood vent was incorrect. Came to install and then realized the a convertor part was missing (meanwhile uninstalled the old one, another snafu). Came back a third time to install but patched up the job. No finesse also could not make the existing exhaust fan work as it was supposed to. (came back a 4th time to disconnect the exhaust fan but lets not get into that....)

Description of Work: I had my circuit breaker box replaced. I also had two lines run down to my garage. Additionally, I had a large fixture hung. I found the guys pleasant and professional. The work was done well but after they left I found that they had damaged a large cabinet I had in my garage. It was on wheels and when they moved it one wheel came off. I never even called him back because I didn't want to bother him and I thought the handyman was coming back. The handyman got extremely busy and hasn't come back yet. When I called it was admittedly after a time but they denied it. I now have to call someone and at my expense have it fixed. I was very grateful that they labelled some of the breakers. They didn't do all of them however. I found out from another electrician that they have to label them by law. My gratefulness changed because they did not label all of them. I recently had a breaker trip and I turned off overload and went to switch breaker on. The electricity did not go back on. The breaker that tripped seemed like something was wrong - it didn't click like the other breakers. I called Brian and after several messages he called back and said that it can't be the breaker. I said that I believed it was. He said that if he comes back and it's not the breaker I will have to pay the service charge - $175 first hour and $125 thereafter. I said that I might want to get other estimates if it's something else. He accused me of nickel and diming and not wanting to pay his fee. I said I would want other estimates. It seems that for him to honor the 1 year warranty I would have to agree to use him for any other work that was needed. That's not fair. He then said that if he comes back we are through - he won't come ever again. I said that the warranty isn't up until May 8, 2014. He accused me of being unappreciative. How unprofessional is that! I will have to have the breaker replaced by another electrician as I can see that he's not honoring the warranty. He's all about money - won't come back if he's not making money on it. I also feel that there may be some prejudicial innuendos in his dialogue. Live and learn!

Description of Work: They hung a ceiling fan. They did a good job. They came a bit late but called ahead of time to say they were running late.

Description of Work: I have used Duffy Installation. Initially, they were going to change some electrical outlets in the home. Later, they found out that the house wasn't grounded properly and they did a complete rewiring of the home.
