We were very satisfied with Van Dusen. Shannon in the office is very helpful and their staff is quite professional. They were able to get to our job much sooner than originally anticipated. They were the most affordable company that we had an estimate from and they were also able to come do the work sooner than any other company that we spoke with. During the process, they were very honest about the materials that we would need, even talking us out of more expensive shingles than we really needed. They arrived on a Monday morning and had the job done by Monday evening. The leader of the crew brought me pictures of all of the work done since our roof is not visible from the ground. They crew was very diligent in their clean up of the site after and they used plywood to protect the house during the job. Our property is only 40 feet wide and our neighbors are very close, the crew was very respectful of them during the job and was thorough in the cleanup of their driveway as well. While some of the work was being performed, it was necessary for them to utilize the neighbor's driveway, so I greatly appreciated how quickly they were able to get the job done and minimize inconvenience on my neighbors. I have already recommended this company to friends and neighbors!

They explained everything they were going to do to put on a new roof.They took off the old shingles that were only 7 yrs old, but we had many leaks because of the previous installation. They finished on time and stay within the price they had given me. There were phones before they showed up and kept us informed as the work progress. There were follow up phone call to make sure we were satisfied with their work. It is one of the better experiences we have had with a contractor!

Replaced peaked roof, repaired flat roof, installed skylights. Price was reasonable, Work was very professional and very quick. Two days to finish everything. The area was left spotless. The only "fault" I could find is that he is busy. It may take a while to get a response and quote - meeting at appointed times and getting the work done was 100% on time and satisfactory. I highly recommend him.

The whole process overall went very well from the estimate to actually doing the job. The company owner Eric himself came out to do the estimate and actually got up on the roof to access the situation as well as looked at other areas to make sure there were no other issues. We also had a few leak issues which his crew took the time to figure out where the actual leak was coming from. Regarding the deck Eric took the time to offer several suggestions and break the project down to what was affordable to us. As with any home project there were a few bumps in the road but they were very willing to work with our time frame. Once the crew was here they all worked very well together in a small space. They got the roofing part of the job done in one day as well as stripping the existing deck that was to be replaced to get it ready for installing the composite decking and vinyl railing. There were a few things that needed to be corrected on the deck regarding the railings and they have since been fixed. During the whole process regarding the major roofing repair and the different leak issues the crew foreman took pictures of the problem issues and then pictures of what they did to address the issue. Everything was explained as to why it was being done and how it was going to correct the problem. We did not just hear we are going to fix the problem. I would recommend Van Dusen Exteriors for any roofing or decking project. Although they did not perform any other services because of Eric's knowledge of how to fix many of the leaks and his concern to actually look at the roof I would use them again for any other exterior services. His prices were fair and he was very honest. He was also willing to listen to our concerns and ideas.

They were very good to work with, completed what they said they would, and no problems to date since all work was completed.. We felt their pricing was fair. The value for the original couplon was very good.

I worked with Vandusen Exteriors to schedule my project several months in advance and the arrived on time on the date scheduled. The crew worked extremely fast and did a great job. They even hauled away some debris I had form a related project. During the siding install, the crew noticed that my main power service entry line needed to be replaced. I wasn't able to get an electrician out until after the siding was complete and Vandusen sent a crew out after the electrician to complete the siding around the electrical work. The arrived on time every day and completed the job ahead of schedule.

Estimate seemed honest but ended up on the more expensive side. Ultimately found a cheaper but highly-recommended roofer to do the job; turned out great.

They are responsive. They immediately figure out what the problem is and how to fix it. They do everything in a reasonable time frame with top quality workmanship everytime. There are never any problems. They make you want to refer them again.

I bought a groupon and they came out to do a roof maintenance. I could not get them to give me a receipt identfying what they had done. Initially they told me my roof was not good and when I told them that I had replaced the roof, then they said that it was a second roof on top of the first. They were supposed to seal places and do things to the roof, and I am not sure that they did anything. I asked for a receipt showing what they had done, and all they would do is send me a copy of the groupon. I don't remember the date of service, so I just selected a date, as it would not let me enter info without it. It was within the last year.

Called ahead to ask if roof was walkable but did not explain what that meant. When got there only could do part of roof but said rest of looked good but could not walk it. Told them of leak on part walkable. Said rain blowing right through vents when wind extremely strong. Sealed vents with something (?) . Problem fixed. Said owner would call back with quote on using shingles but owner never did.

On time, explained findings, performed repairs (no problems, so seems satisfactory.) Only complaint, I asked for a payment receipt with repair details, which I was told would be promptly mailed...it never was.

Van Dusen did work on a coworkers roof and came highly recommend. I looked them up on Angie's List and they had nothing but good reviews. Eric Van Dusen the owner of the company and gave me a quote on the work I needed done and it was right in line with what the other companies I had come quoted me. He walked me through what they would do, gave me his recommendations and from the research I did he was spot on. I called the office where I spoke with Shannon Van Dusen (Eric's wife) who was very professional and hired them to do my work. The team came out a few weeks later and had my roof completed in a 2 day timeframe.

This is one of the best organized, most professional companies I have done business with. They were on time. They did excellent work., and the crew was very neat and very polite and friendly. I had already decided on a a roofing company who had put a roof on a neighbors house. Then I remembered that I had joined Angies list, so I decided to check out other roofers. I liked what I read about VanDusen Exteriors so I called to get a second opinion. Eric sold me on the company with his very professional, knowledgeable and very soft sell, no pressure presentation. It was night and day between him and the other people who had given me an estimate. And I had thought the other ones seemed pretty good. I am so glad I hired them. I can't say enough. Shannan is very nice and efficient and was more than accommodating, when something caused us to change dates. When the job was finished, she called me to get a review of the job. They truly care about their customers and very importantly their crew. I saw her bring lunch for the men. Eric took the crew out to lunch the last day. Finally, Shannan delivered home made baked goods to us, as a thank you for their business. It doesn't get much better than that.

They tore off the old roofing material and applied the rubber membrane. They flashed the wall surfaced and attached drip edge on the roof perimeter.The lead man, Zack, oozed pride in his work out of every pore. As I popped in and out while they were working I never observed them taking a shortcut or making due. At the end, instead of looking like a ?commercial job? the roof looked like it had been dipped in melted chocolate. As little as this roof is visible from the street it looks great. There was no lack of professionalism from the owners, the lead man, or the workers. There were some things that I didn?t get. I didn?t get to talk to an answering machine every time I called their office. I didn?t get to wait days for a return phone call to show up on my answering machine. I didn?t get to listen to someone else's radio station while they were working. I didn?t get to have a bunch of hoodlums at my house peeking into every window and making me wonder if my property would ever be safe again. I didn?t get to have some wannabe hone his skills on my property. I couldn't be happier if I was twins.

We discovered the clean-looking original roof on our 23-year-old home was not so good as it appeared when we found a small portion of ceiling collapsed and water dripping in an upstairs bedroom on a rainy night, signalling a roofing emergency. This company was among three highly-rated roofers I picked from Angie's List for initial estimates. Our experience with and responsiveness of this company was outstanding from the initial contact to completion! Shannon very pleasantly and efficiently scheduled a precise appointment for the estimate, and Eric's arrival was punctual. He walked the full expanse of our very large roof, examined the interior leak, then sat down with me to discuss in detail his findings & what needed to be be done; addressed all my questions and concerns with no hint of impatience; and immediately gave me a written estimate with a few options to review and mark up as I saw fit. The job ultimately included stripping and replacing the entire roof and underlayment with 50-year grade materials. This included replacing some leak-damaged plywood; all new flashings, drip-edges and ridge vents; adding all new leaf-shields and additional downspouts to our struggling rain gutters; and repairing the rain-damaged attic insulation. I called back the same day, and Eric returned that evening to finalize the estimate. The Angie's List discount coupon was honored without hesitation and, best of all, because we were experiencing a leak he squeezed us into his schedule just 2 days later. The entire job was completed by a large and hard-working crew in just one long day. This included cleanup and debris removal, and by evening the only evidence they had been there was our gleaming new roof! We could not be more satisfied the job as we observed it, and we are extremely confident this company takes great pride in a job done right and done well. -------------------------- Update 2/20/2014: After two winters we remain extremely satisfied with the work done. Furthermore this company has been extremely responsive in assuring customer satisfaction by taking care of minor leftover issues (some protruding nails and a loose gutter) -- in each case, just a phone message and they were here within a day or two to take care of it, no questions asked.

It was as good as what they said it would be. They were clean and prompt. I have no complaints and I have recommended them since. It appears to be quality workmanship.

Shannon was very pleasant to deal with as far as arranging appointments. Overall, they do excellent work. I have had roofers in the past and Vandusen is heads and shoulders above them.

I received a prompt answer to my email, and Eric came over the next day to give me an estimate and a description of what was needed. Since it was a smaller job, i was added to a list of similar smaller jobs in this area. It was done today, actually a day earlier than planned. It has been a pleasure to work with Eric and Shannon and I would recommend VanDusen Exteriors to anyone. When the roof on my house needs to be done, I will call this company to handle the job.

Our experience with VanDusen Exteriors was nothing short of great! VanDusen Exteriors is a very professional friendly company. From our first meeting, quote presentation to job completion, we never felt that we were working with anything less than professional caring people. The crew diligently worked through some of the worst weather conditions never wanting to give up the task at hand. Any problems that arose were quickly addressed and taken care of. We would absolutely use their services again and recommend them 100%. Their pricing is fair and their workmanship was excellent.

See above. Our only complaint was they're very busy and you have to be patient sometimes. Both Eric and Shannon are very pleasant to deal with.

This company is fabulous! Very professional and courteous.The price was very fair and because we have had such a mild winter they were able to do the job 2 months ahead of schedule. Because they finished the second day after dark, they came back the next morning to make sure they hadn't left any scraps on our property. They were picking up the tiniest little things! After installation they even brought us delicious muffins and cookies in a cute little basket. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new roof. Our house looks amazing!

UPDATE: It seems to me someone that has a "reputation for outstanding customer service" would be more honest and admit that they made a mistake rather than calling the report inaccurate. Why would I take the time to look up your contact information, but not try to contact you for an estimate?
