We are so pleased with Van Dusen. Of the four roofers that we received estimates for, they were the only ones to actually get up on the roof. They gave us a quote and that is exactly what we paid; no surprises. They arrived when they said they would. There was good communication. The crew was professional and curteous and they worked very hard from morning until evening. They were here for two days and at the end of each day, the area was spotless. You wouldn't even know we were having construction work done. I can't say enough about Van Dusen. Great job overall. Absolutely no negatives.

They were professional. In addition to being knowledgeable, they were also prompt and courteous. The other two companies were also very good but I decided to go with them because of their pricing and the services they offered. They weren't the cheapest but the deal they gave me was what I thought to be the best.

The foreman on the job was amazing and their price was really good. They also guaranteed their work. We would highly recommend them.

VanDusen Exteriors originally came out as we had a leak in our dining room ceiling bay window. Upon looking at the situation as they took off siding the problem appeared worse and worse. No tyvek in several areas and rotted wood in several places. They couldn't even get started as it was a complete mess and they did not have any materials. Since they had to take off the siding and couldn't get to the job that day they marked every piece as to where it went in order to put it back once they came back. In the meantime they put tyvek up and temporarily made things weather tight. They were back in a couple days in order to fix that issue. They were here until after 7 PM to replace boards and insulation as well as install the window correctly. They do things the right way the first time and and although I am sure no company enjoys fixing other peoples work he will be back to fix the other windows on the front of the house. I can not thank Eric and his workers enough as they are all hard working and honest. They took pictures along the way to show how they remedied the problem and were all very polite. Since every window will be different the cost can not be determined until each window is accessed. Eric has always been honest and have no reason to believe that his price will not be fair. We are looking forward to having the other problems being fixed and living in a leak free home. I personally would not use anyone else but Van Dusen Exteriors!

They have a lot of other houses around here beside ours so I have to call a couple of times. Their work was fine on the shingles that was missing that they straighten out and then they checked around. So everything seems to go alright.

We're talking top of the line all the way across. Professionalism and quality of work make them good. Quality of work is the biggest one. The price is extremely reasonable. I have recommended them to everybody.

I found Exteriors on Angies List with very good reviews and high ratings. It was in the middle of the winter (January) and I had a leak so I needed to repair the roof or, preferably, replace the shingles and return it to a leak less state. The representative came to my house and went over all the aspects of the job. I received a booklet that illustrated all the options available. He also had samples of the materials. I had several other estimates and Van Dusen?s was in the lower third cost wise. However, the other bidders did not instill the confidence that was inspired by Van Dusen Exteriors. I signed the contract and the crew came on February 10th. They assured me that the snow was no object. They arrived at 8:30 AM, as promised, with five vehicles (two box trucks and three vans). At least 8 guys started right in on the project. It went like clockwork. I was very impressed. The initial ?demolition? was very noisy so I put the cat in the basement. Once the old roof was removed, it quieted down considerably. The job was completed by the end of the day. Yes, it only took one day! The job was impressive. Only one mishap, the insulating person put his foot thru the dining room ceiling. It was repaired but is still quite visible and will have to be redone. They compensated by not charging for one of the plywood sheets used on the roof. Since there was snow around the house, a cursory clean-up was done with a promise that they would return when the weather was better and finish the clean-up. They came last week and did an excellent job picking up around the house. I even had two neighbors come over and inquire as to who did the job, how fast they did the work, and asked if I was happy with the job. Only time will tell how the roof will hold up, but, given everything so far, their reputation, and fantastic warrantees, I am very confident that it will surpass my expectations. Other than the ceiling mishap, which I will have to deal with at a later time, I am very happy with the roofing job and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who asks.

He came over immediately and had the problem taken care of within a day. He also gave some good recommendations to make sure that it did not happen again. He also charges a fair price and I will use him again.

The salesman explained everything that was going to be done and he and his crew were professional and courteous. The job was completed in a day and a half and everything was cleaned up like they weren't even here. The roof looks great! Due to a huge piece of ice falling and damaging an area of the roof, they came out and repaired it free of charge. We are very happy and pleased with the work they did. I would absolutely recommend them, and may even be giving them a call soon to install new windows in her house.

Great service, same as when they replaced the roof on our old house several years ago! Prompt, professional...large crew, worked all day in cold weather. They even had to clear snow off the old roof to get it done when they scheduled it! We were told they would be back in the spring for the final cleanup when the snow was gone! We recommend them highly.

The company was a pleasure to work with and I could not be happier with their work. Their prices were competitive and better than other top rated Angie's List companies I contacted. Their customer service is exceptional and their crew was very professional. I was particularly impressed with their meticulous care at cleaning up after their job. I was concerned about having nails and other debris around after they tore the shingles off my roof, but they spent a great deal of time cleaning up and left the premises better than they'd found it. The workers were punctual and very respectful. I could not be happier and will use them again in the future without hesitation.

Very friendly and did not charge for his services. He mentioned the roofing company that originally installed the roof was no longer in business. Will definitely call again to have the bathroom vent installed correctly and for any other house work.

Great job and much less expensive for same materials in other estimates.

They employ a large crew of 10 or 12 workers who show up on time each day and complete all their work by nightfall. They clean up after themselves every day. We had an issue with the wrong color roofing being delivered (by another company) and Eric Van Dusen made a reasonable accommodation to make up for that because the work had already been started for a bit more than a day before it was discovered. They asked for and used paint to touch up where the roof job changed or uncovered last year's paint job. My only concern (that I did not bring to their attention) was the amount of debris in my crawl space in the attic. I think they should have known and told me about this debris.

A crew of 12 worked diligently for a full day until dark, removing the roof and clearing the debris. The roof boards were replaced, but some work carried over until the next morning. The roof was snow covered when they began. Some snow flurries fell intermittently during the first day and slowed work a bit. While the crew put up boards to shield the windows and used tarps to catch the debris, a couple of our shrubs had broken branches. Some debris became visible as the snow melted in the next week. A bathroom vent was repositioned through the roof. One of the crew went into the attic to sweep up some debris. Some of the roof tiles did not lay flat due to the cold, but we were assured they would right themselves in warmer weather. We were promised that someone would come back in the spring to make sure all is well. Altogether we have confidence that the job was done professionally and well.

Job performed by this roofing company was exceptional ! From the start , out of 4 estimates, the estimate provided by Van Dusen was given by someone that actually climbed up on the roof and spent the time to get a true visual of the work that was needed. The other 3 companies gave a true guesstimate which was reflected in their over pricing. The day of the actually roof replacement was flawless. The crew of many were all hands-on and insync as they proceeded to take care of business. This included making sure that all waste material generated was picked up. The area around our house was spotless upon the job completion. The foreman (Zac) was also in control at all times. He checked with us several times thru out the day to answer any questions we had and to provide a status of how the job was going. I would definitely and already have recommended this company to individuals looking for a roof repair or replacement. I also have to add that the "Thank You for your Business" gift basket provided by Shannon was a very pleasant surprise and full of baked goodies that also fall into the exceptional category. The owners of Van Dusen truly know how to run a company that is customer and service oriented. Kudos to them !

Eric showed up on Tuesday to provide a quote. He said he would interrupt a current job to be there to take care of the roof on Friday, prior to the bad weather. He showed up around 2:30 with 4 man crew. They did the job in about 2 1/2 hours, with clean-up. They were very professional and worked right along without taking a break.

The work was very professional. When first given estimate, Dan Greene representing Van Dusen Exteriors got on the roof and inspected it thoroughly and then went into the second floor, including the attic. He explained thoroughly what was recommended and the price per each step and what materials other than shingles were necessary. The crew of about 12 showed up on time, the team was very organized, each knew what his role was. On the second day they were again prompt. Zack, the head of the crew, kept us abreast of what they were doing and what findings they encountered (for example, a piece of rotted wood which they replaced and some faulty soffits). When finished at the end of each day, several guys went over the yard with a magnetic machine to pick up any nails that were on the ground. This is one great company. Just like the other review, the day of the install, greeted by Eric and introuduce to Zach, while talking to Eric and Zach his crew was busy covering up the house so it wouldn't be damaged by the tear off, everyone knew his job and did it like it was their house. There was two roofs on the house, they had it stripped in two hours and ready to install the new roof. They moved right along. When they finshed the job the yard was cleaner than when they started, they had men on their hands and knees picking up pieces of shingles and nails. The only regret I have is not being able to thank the whole crew. This is one company that really cares about how the do the job and they follow up with you after the job.

The initial meeting with the owner, Eric, was very informative. He was friendly, professional and took the time to answer all of our questions. He was the only contractor out of 4 that we received estimates from who actually got out a ladder, walked on the roof and gave a thorough evaluation of the work that needed to be done. After reviewing the estimate we were encouraged to call w/any additional questions/concerns. Cheyenne, Shannon and Eric always returned calls making themselves available to us. Installation day came. Eric greeted both my husband & I and introduced us to his foreman Zach. During the introduction his crew unloaded the equipment/materials and were ready to work by the time we shook hands. Immediately 9 men were on the roof and in just 40 minutes the roof was stripped and new plywood ready to be replaced. Each member of the crew had a specific job, knew exactly what to do and did it with precision. We have never seen a more organized, hard working group of individuals. It was amazing just watching them work...a well oiled machine. Zach kept us informed of any issues and if something wasn't up to his standards it was fixed and/or replaced. Their attitude is that if it isn't a roof they'd put on their own homes, they won't put it on yours. The quality of their workmanship is second to none. The fascia on the house was not originally going to be replaced, but when Zach looked at it he wasn't happy with how it was installed and it was replaced at no additional cost. His reasoning was that they only do things the right way. He also installed the insulation in the attic thoroughly explaining the importance of the ridge vent and air flow in the attic which was severely lacking prior to the new roof being installed. After work was completed Zach stayed behind for a final inspection. When they left not one blade of grass was out of place, the driveway was swept clean and not one nail left behind. The only thing left was a beautiful, new, properly installed roof. What really stood out to us and something you just don't see much any more is the pride in workmanship that the individuals in this company displayed. To top it all off, a few days after the project had been completed we received a basket of baked goods from Shannon with a personalized thank you. There aren't enough wonderful things to be said about VanDusen Exteriors. We fully intend to use them again in the future.

We received several estimates to replace our existing roof. We chose Van Dusen Exteriors after doing extensive research regarding products and roofing companies in our area. Eric Van Dusen presented his estimate in a very professional and complete manner. He explained in detail the work that his company would do and the materials that would be used (some of the other roofing companies did not provide this level of detail). He gave us advise on what color to choose and explained how the different color options would look on our house. His company is a certified CertainTeed installation company. Which means a great deal in the roofing industry and that they are top of the line in what they do. His crew arrived early and Zach the foreman explained how they were going to proceed with the work the work. He was very courteous and made sure he answered all my questions before they began the work. The crew worked diligently and they were careful when removing the old roof so they didn't damage our house or landscaping. They completed the job in one day. They crew cleaned up the work area and I even noticed Zach walked up and down our driveway two or three times to make sure there were no nails or other debris were left behind. The new roof looks fantastic it matches our siding much better than the original roof - Eric gave us great advise on the color we chose. We would highly recommend Van Dusen Exteriors they are very professional, due great work and I feel like we got a lot of value for our dollar.

It was INCREDIBLE!!! Eric, the owner, is absolutely wonderful! He spent a lot of time with me helping me choose the type and color of the materials needed for the roof, chimney, stone columns, windows and storm doors. He brought a variety of samples for me to look at, as well as pictures of similar jobs he had done so I could see what the finished product would actually look like. He was beyond patient with me during this process. :o) Then, all the construction began. They removed and replaced the roof; removed the old chimney and put up beautiful stone around the chimney which matched the phenomenal new stone columns and door surround they made for the front of my house. They installed new windows in the living room and 3 new storm doors throughout the house & garage. It far exceeded my expectations of the quality of the construction they performed and the dedication and attention to detail Eric showed. He has very high standards of workmanship. The guys on his crew worked hard to complete all of these installs in a very timely manner with great quality. The foreman was incredible! He went above & beyond to make sure the work stayed on schedule--so much so that he and a few of the guys stayed until almost 7 PM on 2 different nights so they could move onto the next stage of the construction in the morning. All of the crew was very kind and helpful to me. I can't say enough about how wonderful this company is. The only drawback was that they didn't put out a sign in my yard so others could see who did this incredible job and one of my elderly neighbors had a company, with a similar sounding name, do their roof and it took 2 weeks for them just to do the roof! This never would have happened with VanDusen Exteriors! They are the BEST!!!!!

They were extraordinary. There were a crew on more than 8 who came out. They did a nice job of cleaning up. They follow up with you to make sure everything is satisfactory.

I am not sure that I have enough energy in my fingers to type all that there is to say about this company and their employees. From the first call until the present, they have been nothing but Amazing! Punctual, Professional, Considerate and Kind. We had a hole in our garage roof and some some soffits that needed to be repaired immediately. Our roof date was 2 months out but FREE OF CHARGE they sent someone out to do a quick fix on the roof and repair the soffits. Absolutely amazing! The day of the roof job, the arrived on time (all 12 of them), they were polite, respectful and great at keeping me up to date! Our roof looks amazing and we will be using them to replace our windows, gutters and possibly siding! Shannon and her team made this experience PAINLESS! I recommend them to anyone who needs exterior work on their home. Thanks VanDusens and Crew! THANK YOU!
