Description of Work: Needed a new discharge pipe for the cellar sump pump. The line exits the cellar through the foundation at ground level then passes under a dirt driveway approx. 10 feet wide to a discharge point about 1 foot farther along. The existing line had been in the ground for 40+ years and was rusting. The new installation was tapped into the existing exit outside of the house and involved 2 PVC replacements (one in the other for strength) and hardware. The job took about 2 hours, 2 men and a small digger. The excavation was back filled with gravel. I though the price was a bit too high, but hopefully it will last another 40 years.

Description of Work: pumped septic but problem ended up being inside a pipe from the house than could not get into the septic, the clog,that is. i had a sewer backup. i called the plumber who removed the sewer pipe head. water was in the pipe. the plumber said call a septic guy because the tank is full. averill park septic came out and pumped. when he told me to flush toilets, no water came into the septic. averill park sid,call your plumber back, the problem is in the house. the plumber came and said the problem is with the back wall of the septic. he (plumber) used a high pressure inflatable hos to blow the clog ointo the septic. it worked and is still working well. i called the septic guy to talk to the plumber and he called back promptly and it all worked out. I do wonder if a needed a clean out since I had one3 1/2 months ago for routine cleaniing with Sam's septic. there are only 2 people in my household.

 + -1 moreVery good experience. They showed up right on time, did a thorough and professional job. The guy was courteous and friendly and cleaned everything up when finished. I also like that they send you a postcard reminder when your tank is due for another cleaning.

 + -1 moreFinally decided to get septic tank pumped out before we had problems with it. Called them at the beginning of the week and came by the end(my request). They even came on a Sat am. He was punctual, and got it done quickly. Very pleased. Gave us the price per 1000 gal and set price per gal above that.

 + -1 moreTheir employee came to clean my septic tank and was on time and courteous. This was the second time I had used the same company for a clean out. When he removed the cover to the tank, the handle broke. He said he thought he had another cover at the office and would look for a replacement when he returned. Upon cleaning he inspected and found I needed a baffle replaced. He returned to the office and phoned later in the day with an estimate and a date they could do it. He advised me not to put too much waste in the tank until the repair could be done. They were very prompt about getting back to me to do the repair. Which was crawling into tank...ugly job. This is a family owned and run business, parents and children working together. I can not recommend them to enough.
