We were delighted with their work. The closet door is beautifully finished and looks as good as the other door which cost 4 times as much. The painting is almost flawless, with great attention to detail, and they took care to cleanup even some spills which occurred 3 years ago when we first began to redo this room. They came when they said they would each day, were polite, friendly, responsive, and caring. We will definitely hire them again, and highly recommend!

The work was great. The workmanship was perfect. He cleaned up. Felt he respected my belongings. Covered everything so the sanding dust was kept to a minimum - and there was a lot of sanding. Paint job was perfect - no drips on anything. The smaller jobs were all taken care of very professionally. I added some other tasks on to the list when he arrived and he had no problem with completing them. They matched some 60+ year old wood work. I was told by several companies that it would be impossible to match . . . not for Small Restore - the job was perfect - actually I was amazed! Will always call them first. And, I got a discount for using Angie's list.

I had an ankle injury and could not take a shower until I had grab bars and a hand shower installed. I called several other handymen who all said 2-3 weeks. When I explained the urgency, Ilya was able to fit the job in on short notice, for which I was very grateful. He and Gregory arrived on time, very carefully measured the placement for the bars, and did the job efficiently and neatly. This involved drilling into ceramic tile so it was very important to get it right. They also installed one in another bathroom for future use. I would definitely hire them again. Because of their fine reputation, non-emergency jobs might take a while to schedule but it would be worth the wait.

I was lucky to find such a service who would polish off my "To do" list. Mostly I had little annoying things I have lived with for a long time. Every job was done well. Things were cleaned up afterwards. I have already recommended them to a couple people. The estimate spelled out what to expect (if labor only or if they provided the materials) which was also helpful.

Ilya and his wife were energetic and enthusiastic workers. It was evident that they took great pride in their work and wanted to please us , as their customers. They did an excellent job. They were attentive to detail from preparation to painting to clean up! They were professional in all ways. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to others! We are thrilled with the painting and door repair completed by Small Restore.

It went very well. He was on time and in full communication the whole time. He did exactly what he said he would do for the quoted amount. No hidden or surprise costs came up. He was very clean and no damage to anything in the house. I was very satisfied with the work and the time it took to complete the job. I would highly recommend his services. I had a list of different things that I needed to be done, I had all this little things that needed to be done. And I have no problems no complaints. So far so good,the additional changes and repairs have been good. H was booked before I called him and I could accommodate his schedule.

1. This is the second time we have asked Ilya's help. We were very happy with his first job: repairing bathroom, so we asked his help in repairing & staining our deck. 2. Ilya exceeded our expectations: He replaced 3 planks of rotten wood from the deck and applied 3 coats of the stain specified by our Homeowners Association, and did a great job! Thank you, Ilya 3. Ilya also did a couple of things that were not included in the contract we agreed upon. He put in 2 flourescent lights for us, and took off a step from our garage stairs (this step was not necessary). We are grateful for Ilya's help!

Excellent!! Contacted me right away after I emailed. Showed up at agreed time, ON TIME. Told them I needed table back for incoming company in seven days. Emailed 3 days later and said repair was done. Delivered 3 days before needed. Absolutely pleasant and professional. They are now doing repair on a broken Queen Anne bed spindle for me. Cannot recommend highly enough.

First of all, I live in an 80 year old house which needs constant maintenance. I have used Small Restore twice in the past. Once for a repair to the siding on the house, replacement of half of the roof on the back storage shed and repairing a hole in the ceiling in the kitchen. Ilya also came out on an emergency basis in November to replace 2 fence sections that had blown down in the ice storm. I did not hesitate to call them again. This job was perfect once again. Ilya is such a perfectionist that every detail is taken care of. I am so impressed with the fact that he cleans up every night before he leaves. You would never know any work was going on in the house. An example of his perfectionism was that I had asked him to caulk the bathroom floor like the tub (white caulk). After he put it down he did not feel it looked good with the tan tiles in the bathroom. He removed the white caulk and put down a beige caulk which looks terrific. I would have never noticed and just been happy to have it clean and neat. He worked his way through the long list of projects in an organized and efficient manner. He kept me informed every step along the way. He had to research the type of paint to use on the fireplace cover because the spray paint I had picked out was not rated for high heat. He took the cover back to the shop and it looks beautiful. The tiles in front of the fireplace had at least 3 coats of paint removed and now are back to the original tile color. I am so happy to have someone I can rely on to give me an honest and reasonable quote. Beyond that the quality of the work is top notch. Both Ilya and Greg are the most polite, honest and gentlemanly people. I feel so lucky that I found them. Now all I have to do is start my new list for inside painting for this winter!

Great service! I had a small job- a cracked pane in a French door. Could not find anyone to show up, or return emails and calls for this job. I was so impressed that Ilya promptly returned my emails through Angie's List and then called me when he had an opening. Professional communication is rare these days. He did a great job fixing the cracked pane for a reasonable price. Cleaned up, pleasant! I will definitely hire again. So very happy to now have someone to do work on my house! Thank you, Ilya!

Our gutters were pretty well clogged up with pine needles and we were missing 2 connecting downspouts. Ilya and his father cleaned the gutters and added the missing sections of downspout where needed. They did an excellent job. Normally, this is the type of work that I would do myself but given their responsiveness, work ethic, and reasonable pricing I will use them for other small jobs around the house so I can spend that time with my young children.

Over the past year, Small Restore, has repaired and painted a plaster wall; painted radiator covers; repaired and painted patio French doors, replacing some of the hardware and the threshold that required staining; repaired an oven door; caulking work; and repaired a piece of furniture. The two owners, depending on if one or both are needed for the task, arrive on time and give a detailed estimate which they adhere to implicitly. They clean up meticulously and point out marks or scratches before they begin work so we are aware of that they are taking good care of my home. When painting an item that can be removed, they take it to their shop so that there is no mess in my home. They also take the time to scope out the project and give suggestions and an honest appraisal of what will work and the cost. They have also declined two jobs and recommended an expert, which I appreciate. The owner even researched the type of repair that I would need for one of those jobs. Above all, they are respectful, courteous, and NEVER tell me how the last person who worked on my house didn't know what he was doing.

1. Their estimates were 100% correct; they did not charge more, though they had to totally replace the two extra leaves of the table due to rotten wood. They picked the furniture up delivered it and while finishing the last fixings at the table they spread out linens to protect the carpets and floor. I have never seen someone work so careful minding every detail of the repair. 2. The 4 table leaves needed new veneer, matching the other old furniture. It is amazing how well they found the right hue and the new wood veneer looks new and perfect but also just like it has been always that way. We are absolutely happy with the father and son business; especially they answer e- mail within a day , so planning with them is easy and friendly. The overall price/work done relation is very reasonable and very affordable for the workhours put in. Their workmanship deserves highest praise.

I am so pleased with the professionalism and work of Ilya and his father. The work was flawless. You can not tell that anything was wrong with the ceiling in the kitchen. It was at least a 3 foot hole in the ceiling from water damage. The repairs to the shed were quite extensive and involved some tricky access problems. They cleaned up after themselves at every visit. They were prompt, polite and efficient. I called them in a panic in November when part of our fence was blown down in a storm. They came out the night the worst of the winter storms started and not only replaced the two fence sections but also patched the remaining fence with pieces taken out of the old fence. I wholeheartedly recommend their work and work ethic. I can tell you I will have them on speed dial for any future work I need. It is comforting knowing someone can help me maintain this old house.

1. Ilya did an excellent job repairing the bathroom floor that had leaked. The previous person who did the repair (does work for the Homeowners' Association), just put caulking over the old caulking, and there was mold in there. Ilya took out all the old caulking, and put new caulk. When the job was done, the bathroom floor looked really good, and he matched the caulk color to the floor, so there was no ugly mark of white caulking. Job very well done! I noticed that when I turned the water on in my bathroom (separate bathroom), the smell of mold was gone. Harold thinks that inhaling all the mold spores had made my asthma worst. Hopefully, I will be in better health. 2. Ilya put in a new spring (old one broke) on the recliner, and Harold was very pleased that his recliner was working well. He had a stroke on 09/01/2012, and his right hand and arm was weakened as a result, so he had a hard time managing the broken recliner. 3. The doorbell was working on & off, and Ilya put in a new one. HAROLD AND I SAY THANK YOU, ILYA FOR DOING A GREAT JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER, FOR BEING PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL, FOR A VERY REASONABLE PRICE, AND FOR COMING ON A SATURDAY, WHEN THERE WAS A WINTER STORM WARNING. HE EVEN SHOVELED THE PORCH AND DRIVEWAY FOR US, SINCE THE COMPANY HIRED BY THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION HAD NOT DONE ANY SHOVELING AT 11:00AM ON A SATURDAY. Rose

I received a response from my online request with in 1 business day. I was able to send pictures to confirm a price and date they could come at my convenience. They arrived on time giving me a call as they were getting close. I noticed some shelves were also losing some of the veneer. They were able to pull off the base and take the shelves and return them to me the same day. I was concerned about getting it done for Christmas Eve the very next day. The repair was completed successfully. There is some residual glue that was not cleaned off the repaired crack but it should be able to be removed with out issue. I was very impressed with the professionalism, fast response and their respect for Teak oiled furniture. From previous experience I know not all furniture repair professionals know how to treat mid-century modern finishes. I would definitely hire them again. The only reason I rated quality down was because I can feel the raised edge where glue seeped out after clamping the break. As the leg is hidden only I know. Given the fast turn around and holiday week I am quite satisfied. They went above and beyond to meet the service needs.

They were very responsive, professional and conscientious. Came right away despite heavy rain and strong winds. Would definitely call them again.

I have asked Ilya to take care of two outside projects before the most recent subflooring installation. They have repaired rotting wood around chimney (roof level) using R-111 siding....repaired flashing as well....painted the new siding and trim. They have also leveled the deck around out hot tub by installing 6 supports under the floor.... We have lined them up to repair a number of other interior projects including the painting of a our 20x40 great room and may use them to paint the exterior next spring. My wife and I have been very pleased with their work, pricing, and professionalism. We are also considering using Small Restore to repair and refinish 6 dining chairs as well. I would recommend them highly.

I called for an estimate . I had an estimate at the end of the day. . The day of the work they called to say they would be a few minutes late......no problem.. When they arrived they removed their shoes at the door and immediately went to work. They cut out the carpeting and rolled and secured it with duct tape. They placed it to the curb for garbage pickup on the following day. I really appreciated that they swept the area and left the work area as clean as possible. They did this in a very timely manner.

The weather was difficult in parts of July and August. We had plenty of rain that made it difficult to get consistent and consecutive days of work. That said, Ilya was here every day they could be. They did a great job and I would hire them again.

Excellent service! I contacted Ilya the day before in need of expecdited service and he was able to fix it the very next day and the cost was very reasonable. I could not be there while the repairs were being done so he sent before and after pictures so I could see how it went without my qasking for them, nice touch! Would definitely use this compnay again! Thank you!!

There was nothing that I didn't like about Small Restore. They were very reliable and their prices were good. They were very thorough and did everything they said they would do.

The experience was excellent from the beginning. Illya was quick to return my phone call and gave an estimate within a few days. Work began a week later and they were done in 3 days.l The work was excellent. There was NO mess left to clean up and the price was more than fair. I would definitely recommend them and will call them again.
