Took 2 days. One window accidently broken, they ordered another which was a left window and needed a right window. So that has been reordered and stained. Should be here within a few weeks.

I knew from the moment the sales person stepped into my home that I was dealing with a good company. Extremely responsive, knowledgeable, not pitchy at all and definitely not pushy. He came armed with the necessary catalogs and information I needed to make the right choice. I thought the price seemed high, but it was fiberglass door and when I did a comparison at Lowes, it wasn't any cheaper there. So, I went with Pella. The installers showed up exactly when they were supposed to. One of them was a little gruff, but he cheered up soon after. They did a very professional job, cleaned up the area, and got done a few hours ahead of when I was expecting them to. It is now 5 months after the work is complete and I am still 100% satisfied with my new entrance way.

AVOID CRAWFORD DOOR AND WINDOW SALES AT ALL COSTS Of the 5 ?pre-painted? windows I purchased, in every case when a trim piece was cut, the cut end was not painted. In addition the finishing nail holes were not filled before being painted. A short while after my new Pella main entry door was installed by Crawford Door and Window Sales/Pella Doors and Windows (Albany and Rensselaer, NY) I was having trouble opening and closing it. The service man said 3 of the 4 screws in the top hinge were shorter than they should have been. A little while later I noticed that from the inside I could see light above the top of the door, so the cold air was getting through. A gentleman came and informed me that the door was warped and said a replacement panel would be ordered. That door arrived damaged and the next door was not painted the appropriate color. On the next attempt to replace it the service man could not figure out how to remove the deadbolt lock. After he left I was able to figure it out myself. For the next attempt no one appeared on the appointed day nor did anyone call to say the repair person would not be able to meet the obligation. I only succeeded in getting the door replaced by submitting an official complaint to the local Better Business Bureau as well as the Pella Complaint Department. Another annoyance involves the door handles and deadbolt locks for which I had to pay my locksmith $110 to have some of these items re-installed correctly so that they would work properly. Throughout this entire experience my calls were never returned and I was forced to ask the salesman to get someone to call me back. Each time involved several weeks before anything was done. Needless to say, I tell anyone who will listen to avoid Crawford/Pella completely. After this experience I have been left to wonder if the Pella warranty means anything, or is it only as valuable as the piece of paper on which it is printed.

From the time I contacted Crawford Door & Window, they were very responsive to all my questions, concerns and needs. The estimate was higher than others I received, but we opted to go with them due to the quality of the product, the guarantee, and the longevity of the company. The contractor employed by Crawford arrived on time and completed the work quickly, efficiently, and in an excellent manner in less time than scheduled. They cleaned up after themselves completely. We are extremely satisfied with the end result.

I really like the windows that they installed, but the installers were messy. They dropped loose pieces in the snow and left caulking on the rug upstairs. They did come back to fix the caulking stain, but they would not take responsibility for the gouge that they left in my driveway.

From start to finish, the estimator, project designer, and installers were professional, courteous, and responsive to my scheduling needs. Each one showed up on time, listened well, and offered new and better ways to do things--like casement windows in a few places -- and they lowered the price to keep it within budget. I wanted French doors, but they wouldn't work for lots of reasons, so they came up with a sliding door design that was almost as cool at a third of the cost. I was ready for a few weeks of mayhem - but (except for the noise of cutting aluminum siding) the job was not disruptive at all! Because my driveway was almost new, they parked their tool and supply trailer down the road and set up anew every day. When they left for the day the site was immaculate (not broom clean - immaculate). They worked one or two windows at a time. The crew stopped me from moving anything away from the windows - they moved furniture, draperies, stuff, and put things back the way they were, and were even careful to make sure my cats (2) stayed inside. They fabricated custom trim and channels, solved tricky problems, and there were no hidden or extra charges. Every new window fit perfectly (they'd measured three times). The crew worked steadily, left nothing open to the weather at the end of the day, and the job was done in under a week--including a thorough inside and outside window washing. And they vacuumed my garage floor. To top it off, the crew leader painted the bathroom windowsill (where my cats sit) so the job would look perfect. And it still does. A few weeks later some neighbors asked when I'd had my windows done--and they'd all been in town throughout the job. Guess it didn't annoy them either.

The product is first class and they are as good as any replacement windows you would want. The service was very good and very professional. They came when they said they would and they did the installation in a reasonable amount of time. We were very pleased with the product and the service. The windows were not cheap but you get what you pay for. We have used them more than once and we would use them again in a heartbeat.

I had a previous positive experience with Pella at our previous residence. We replaced all the windows in our last residence with Pella Designer Series and Impervia windows. The job was professionally handled from start to finish. No surprises or problems during all phases of the job. I guess we were spoiled and expected the same this time. Just like our last house, this home needed it's original windows replaced. The house has settled over time and one of the affects of this is the window frames are no longer perfectly square. This is pretty common especially with two story houses. When the original windows are replaced with new ones, there are going to be gaps because the new windows are going to be square. The installer told me they needed wider (1/2') moldings to close the gaps than what Pella had authorized for the job. Pella authorized only 1/4'' unpainted quarter round for this job without telling me. If the salesman had told me they were going to do this, I would have asked them to factor it in to the price. So basically, they were going to make their customer live with windows that had gaps in the edges and unpainted moldings. I have rheumatoid arthritis and in no condition to paint anything let alone do finish work. Anyways, the installer told me their hands were tied. I had to complain to Pella corporate to get them to install the windows correctly. I would expect this treatment from a fly by night outfit but when you pay almost $1,000.00 per window, you expect them to be installed correctly. After the picture window went up, we pointed out to the installer 2 places where the paint is chipped on the interior window frame. He said he'd let Pella know and they'd fix it but it's been over 2 weeks since the job ended and we haven't heard anything. Including this job and the last, we've given Pella well over $22,000.00 of our business. Not anymore. We love our Pella Impervia windows but we don't feel we can trust the local Pella franchise to do any future work. You would think they would value a repeat customer's business but, evidently, they don't value mine.

They carry Pella windows. They are the distributor for this area. They did good work, they were timely, and the bill was exactly what they said it would be.

This was not a very good experience. Three of the windows had the wrong flashing and were installed wrong. I got water in my house from this. The crew who came were in a rush and sloppy looking. They also broke some things in the house. They have not been responsive. One guy came out, but we've heard nothing since. I have phoned and e-mailed pictures of the damage and still have not gotten a response. I think the windows themselves that they installed are of very good quality and the price was okay, but there is simply no professionalism or responsive from this company. One lady in customer service was nice, but that really doesn't help much.

I think this is the window company to use in our area. They do hire sub contractors to do the installation work, but they are very good. I think they care about the work they do and making sure you feel satisfied as a customer. I do rather enjoy my new windows. They have held up very well to date. I would honestly recommend this company to other locals.

IT WAS GOOD BECAUSE THEY COMPLETED THE JOB WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND THE DOOR WORKS LIKE THE DISPLAY MODEL WORKED. I HAVE NO OTHER REASON TO THINK DIFFERENTLY.
