It company did well in contacting me very soon after I paid and we arranged for a very quick visit to my house. The technician was professional and did well.

Brian came over and checked out the thermostat...then down to the basement where he decoded the problem as being a blown fuse...outside we went, the unit was opened and we found a little nest of leaves and a quite chewed up wire...the wire was repaired and the fuse was replaced. My dogs Jake and Jessie really liked him...he was polite...friendly...and knowledgable. He suggested using Bounce dryer sheets in the unit as critters appeared not to like them, so three sheets were placed. The gentleman with whom I made the appointment also recommend the use of moth balls in and around the outside unit to keep the critters away. This all made my day! The Farrell B. coupon was appreciated.

My initial appointment was rescheduled. The weather was blamed as part of the reason, though my problem could easily have been addressed in light rain. Oh well, my repair was rescheduled for the following week, supposedly for the afternoon. The technicians didn't arrive until well after 9pm, at which point they were understandably tired and a bit frazzled. They helped me get to the bottom of the issue and quoted a price for the needed repairs. I completed the job myself the following day. Based on the ease of which I was able to complete the repair myself, and the minimal cost of materials, I feel that the quote I received was definitely on the high side. The quote I received may well have been in line with what others would normally charge, but it certainly did not seem like a good deal to me. In summary, I've had better experiences. The volume of work this company was dealing with at the time was surely a factor, and I would assume my experience was out of the ordinary.

Everyone was very friendly and professional. Not only did the technician Bryan replace the unit, he fixed many areas a that needed to be corrected from when we had the AC unit installed. They even took care of the warranty as well as provided us information about a rebate program where we could get money back for replacing the unit.

Timely, very professional and the cost was acceptable. Workers were excellent, I think there were 3 and left the area very clean.

Everyone at the company I encountered were friendly and professional. Brien was on time, courteous, and took the time to explain what was going on with the furnace. I am so impressed with this company's customer service. Very satisfied!

Technician (Brien) found that flue pipe had opened on the seam. He repaired that and reconnected. Also reinforced the side and back of the duct work. Will have them come back in the Spring to service A/C.

I called the after hours line and talked to someone immediately. Within 10 minutes I got a call from a technician and he said that he could be there within the hour. I described the problem and we both agreed on the phone that the hot surface igniter wasn't working and that was the issue. I asked if he had a replacement in his truck and he did. I had checked lowes and home depot websites and they had none and due to after hours no HVAC stores were open. I asked him to come it would be a $150 service call plus parts and labor, I agreed. He came and performed some quick diagnostics, he confirmed there was no continuity on the hot surface igniter and replaced it. This took about 25 minutes in total. The surprise was the bill. I had looked up the part as I previously mentioned and it was a $25 part. When I got the bill there was the $150 service call fee as I expected but the parts and labor for 25 minutes of work and a $25 part was $250. The total was $400 plus tax. I made a comments about the $25 repair costing $250 but didn't push the issue. I was very grateful for the fast response and quality of service having my heat restored in under 2 hours after hours on a holiday week in the beginning of winter. I was just taken back by the cost of such a small repair. Had this happened during the day I could have gotten the part and replaced it myself but due to the timing and not wanting to go the night without heat we were stuck. I thought the markup was very steep at $225 for half an hours labor pus a $25 part.

They didn't end up doing anything because they came in and said we needed a whole new heating system. We had just had them out last year for a furnace cleaning and they said everything was great. They tried to con us into buying the whole system. We ended up having someone else fix the issue, which was a couple new valves and pump replaced. It seems like they're in the business to give big quotes or the big jobs. We did pay a service fee and they bled the lines, but we were still without heat upstairs.

The guy was very nice at the time, but looking back he wasn't truthful. We had asked the man at the time if the furnace should be so loud because there was knocking. He said they could fix that by taking it apart and insulating it. We opted not to, but later on when we got the heat fixed, the knocking stopped. Obviously. they were just out to get money.

We've been happy with the outcome. We've used them before to put in an air conditioning.

The provider arrived one hour past given window. Although understandable, I would have appreciated a call indicating they were running late. They did call when on there way. The provider did a good job of assessing issues and cleaning the boiler. He explained what was needed in order to fix the zone and gave a price for the repair. He did not have the required part, so an additional service call to make the repair would be needed. My primary reason for the rating I gave had more to do with the confusion around the coupon I purchased from Angie's list. The coupon cost $49 and was to cover service call cost. I paid an additional $100 for the work done, which was a total of $150 for service call and cleaning. The regular price for a service call and cleaning is $150, so there was no cost savings in purchasing coupon through Angie's list. The coupon suggest there is a savings. Having said this, again I want to attest that the work that was done, was very thorough. The provider was professional and I would use them again.

Poorly. The tech who visited pitched an overpriced fix (replacing our unit). If we went with it, we would have been ~$4k in the hole. We had a second company check out our unit and he said that the capacitor needed to be replaced and the freon should have been topped off... $350. We spent $150 and got nothing out of it.

The technician was nice and cordial. Explaining what he was doing most of the time. He replaced the running capacitor on the downstairs unit because he noticed the fan was not running at speed. After replacing the capacitor the fan stopped working. This is when he informed me that the capacitor replacement, that he already did, would be $298 and the fan would be $398. I would not have had him replace the ~$20 capacitor if I knew the companies pricing in advance. He had to use a different fan from the original and has wires showing and tie wrapped to the top of the unit as well as screws/bolts protruding above the unit. I do not believe this was professionally set up and that the technician was being rushed by his corporate to get to the next job.

They came out and filled our unit up with Freon.

He called me earlier than he was supposed to arrive which was fine with me. He asked if he could come earlier and i accepted. Came in, checked the furnace and since it was already clean he looked it over and tested it. Nothing needed to be done. I would rather not need work and spend 50$ than risk it. Money well spent. Will hire again! **Forgot to add, they came out to clean my AC but it had already been cleaned. However he did see that it was disconnected and fixed it for me. Great Job!

I have used Farrell Brothers several times in the past and am pleased with their service. This time, my furnace began making a loud sound, so I called the company to diagnose the problem and also perform routine furnace maintenance that was due. Farrell Brothers promptly scheduled a same day appointment, diagnosed the problem (a piece of insulation had made its way into the blower area; the repairman also removed an instruction manual placed inside the furnace by another technician that was also causing a slight, unrelated rattling noise). The technician performed the routine maintenance professionally and answered my questions in a friendly and helpful manner. My only gripe is that I ended up paying for both a service call ($50 on Angie's List) to address the cause of the problem, which required less than five minutes to diagnose, as well as for the regular furnace maintenance cost. Given the almost instant diagnosis of the problem (which, again, took no more than a couple of minutes), I think the cost of the service call ($50) might have been waived, since I was already paying for the routine maintenance which required much more time and effort. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with this company, have recommended it to friends and colleagues, and will use it again in the future. Recommended.

I couldn't get to use it. I will use it in the Summertime. There was a pre-existing problem with my furnace and when I explained it to them they told me that the unit be used. Their servicing overall was excellent. They came out on February 18th ad the cost was $267.84. This is the second time I've had them come. They don't try to give me the runaround, they don't try to rip me off, they tell me what's wrong, how much the cost will be and they are in and out in a relatively short amount of time.

The service went okay. I do not think it took them too long to come out; it was just a couple of days. I did not think I paid anything extra other than the $99 Big Deal. I remember being pretty happy with them. There was nothing bad about it. They came on time and the guy was professional and seemed knowledgeable about what he is doing. The price was good that is why I did it because it was a special. It seemed that they came right out. I do not remember being mad. I would perhaps use them again in the future.

They do not service oil furnaces. I wish the deal would have stated this more clearly.
