straight forward. we called, they came in a very timely manner and did the work professionally and courteously. we saved $100.00 because we purchased a coupon from angie's list that cost us $99.00 and took off $200.00 from the total bill.

Compared to other firms I've had do this service in the past, it actually appeared that they did something for the money spent. Technician answered questions and explained what he was doing and/or looking for, as well as suggested efficiency improvements.

Repairman told me I need a new air conditioning system. Called another company for second opinion -- they repaired the problem and advised I did not need a new system.

Worker arrived promptly and did an excellent job. Very knowledgable.

They did a fine job. Their employee was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. I told him what had happened, the codes I had seen from the furnace after it stopped working and he performed a number of tests on the furnace. He prepared me for the possibility that it might be a rather expensive part but we were pleased to find out it was a much cheaper part - but still not that cheap! That said, I'm not sure if there is ever going to be a time when I think a replacement part for such an item will ever be cheap. Still, they did a great job and our house is warm once again!

While both boilers worked fine last season, and they had never been routinely cleaned, it was fortunate or unfortunate, that one of the boilers failed to fire during the check-up prior to the heating season needs. Unfortunately the quote for service (not yet contracted) to repair seems too high to me. Shopping the part on the internet shows it can be had for under $130, while the quote for install was many times that sum.

Our central A/C stopped working while we were at work on a very hot day. Came home to a house that was so warm it was nearly unlivable. We gave Farrell Bro's a call and they had someone to our house within an hour, even though it was after hours and we had never used them before. Nick showed up, was extremely fast and professional. He determined the problem and had it fixed within an hour. As far as somewhat emergency situations go, this was one of the best experiences I've had. :)

The new hot water heater works well. Farrell Brothers responded very quickly to my call Saturday morning. They arrived at my house within two hours of my phone call. The service person was very quick, polite, and did a nice job.

Purchased an inspection service from Angie's List for my home air conditioning system. Farrell Bros technician inspected entire air conditioning system and found that the coolant gas was 2 lbs low and added it to make the system run more efficiently. He had me verify the weight of his gas cylinder before he added to coolant and after he completed it to verify that the 2 lbs of gas was added to my system. No other problems were found on my system.

My AC stopes working. They were able to come out the same day, troubleshoot the problem and fix the unit. Despite the fact that there was an impeding storm they finished the work, and we have been happily cooling

I purchased the discount coupons @ 1/2 normal price. The next day I received an e-mail describing that units over 8 years old should be replaced. When the service man arrived - the first thing he asked was how old are the units - I told him 8-10 years but he didn't agree. During the service I was advised that one unit was low on refrigerant so I told him to add it. Well after the service my original $118 bill became $262 or the amount of a full price repair. I felt from the beginning that they were looking to make up for the discount and I would not use them again and think carefully before buying another 1/2 off coupon.

The tech, Pete, called about 10 minutes prior to his arrival which gave me plenty of time to put the dog where he woud not be in the way. Pete got right to work once he arrived. He explained the possible problems and started trouble shooting. Once he found the problem he fixed it quickly (a sensor needed some cleaning) and the heater started functioning properly. I used a coupon from Farrell Bros. available on Angie's List and the repair cost was reduced by 1/3. While Pete was here I asked him about a whole house humidifier. I have wanted one for a long time but my husband said he did not like the idea of "water" in the furnace. Pete explained how the humidifier actually works plus the benefits of it and my husband agreed to have one installed. I purchased the humidifier through a promotion Farrell Bros. and Angie's List. Installation is schedule for this week. I am very happy with my experience with Farrell Bros. and will use them for my routine maintenance in the furture.
