Description of Work: We used O’ Keefe for electrical services. We had a couple of things done. They had to lengthen a cable in the wall to fit a new kitchen fan.

Description of Work: I had a serious electrical issue. I called during regular business hours and my call was answered by an answering machine. I left a message explaining my problem and left my name and phone number twice - requesting they call me back. They never called me back. I ended up calling Mel Carr Electric who were very prompt and had an electrician here within a couple hours.

Description of Work: They were great to work with giving me ideas and following tHrough on the job. They installed recessed light in my kitchen plus under cabinet lighting and a plug for a microwave over the stove. Everything works great I am very happy with the work they did.

Description of Work: Called them because I had a loud buzzing coming from my electrical panel in the basement. He was concerned and offered to come that same day because he said it could mean one of the breakers was about to go but we could not meet late in the day. He came the next morning at 9am. He opened the panel cover and he almost got electrocuted! The previous owners had a strange configuration in the box and one of the wires was actually touching the metal which caused the spark. As I suspected, the the outdoor lighting which was not installed properly during construction and was also not fixed properly by another electrician 2 years ago was causing the buzzing. It was shorting out was causing the loud buzzing. He disconnected it and also removed the dangerous wiring inside the box. Took about an hour to trouble shoot and fix. Very courteous and explained everything in great detail. I have much more electrical work that needs fixing and will definitely be calling him again!

Description of Work: We had a new electrical box installed, as well as multiple outlets changed. We also had some trouble shooting done, and further estimates for possible future work.

Description of Work: When we moved into our new house, the inspector "missed" quite a bit, including that the power into the house was not grounded and that the connection from the outside leading into the circuit breaker box was frayed. When it rained, the frayed connection resulted in water coming in through the breaker box in the basement. Rob corrected this, grounded the house and replaced the breaker box. We also had him wire the kitchen for new appliances, as it was not "graded"(?) correctly for a new stove and new dishwasher. Apparently, the old owners had the correct wires in place, but never had them connected.

Description of Work: Replaced in old ceiling fixture with four LED recessed lights in our kitchen.

Description of Work: We had O'Keefe look at a loose, old outlet that wasn't functioning properly, which Rob fixed, and also had him look at a non-working ceiling light fixture, a loose cord in our backyard, and an outdoor outlet.

Description of Work: I used the services of O'Keefe Electric and it is owned by Rob. The last time I used him was probably 3-4 months ago and I have used him several times. He has done a service upgrade and he has wired a basement for me. He has also layered some lighting and done a bunch of random jobs.

Description of Work: The florescent light fixture in our kitchen worked intermitently. My husband replaced the bulbs, but the problem continued. Finally we checked with Angie's list and called a few electricians. Rob O'keefe responded quickly and offered to come over within the hour. He quickly figured out what was wrong and fixed it. He promised that if the problem wasn't solved, he would come back at no charge.

Description of Work: O'Keefe Electric gave us an estimate back in June. He came out and looked at the situation we had with our electrical panel, and also the water heater that was located close to the electrical panel. The estimate was on having all of that fixed.

Description of Work: Completely rewired and installed new updated power box to our outdated home. Makes sleeping here a lot more comfortable.

Description of Work: O’Keefe Electric did all the electrical on my basement and did a service upgrade of the lights and outlets. They also did some dimmer switches, cable boxes and stuff like that.

Description of Work: Rob did quite a bit of work for us. He pulled wiring from our basement to the attic to finish a room up there. Then wired the entire room for lights, outlets, including a dedicated outlet for A/C. He also included switch for the lights. He also replaced our entire circuit breaker box as it was getting rusted from our damp basement.Rob also put up new lights at the end of our driveway. There were various other minor repairs done as well. In addition, last year we had a problem with a power surge damaging and melting some of our electric. Rob came out after 11pm to get us to a safe place with the home. He worked seamlessly with the power company to facilitate that repair as well.
