In-stock parts are guaranteed to ship the same business day. Visit RepairClinic.com for more information.
"I ordered a part and ended up not using it as that was not the problem with the washer. They have a return policy, which I followed, only to be told I could not have a refund because the part appeared to have been attempted to be installed. This is not the case. In fact, the part was never removed from the box. They either sent me a used part or use this excuse to keep the consumer's money. Either way, it's a scam, they now have my $100 and the part."

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.
"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Plumb Line is a full service Plumbing, HVAC-R (heating, air conditioning, refrigeration), Industrial, and Mill Support.
"Ethics don't stand with this company. I recently had a visit from a technician and he was here for a whole 12-15 minutes, and not a single tool was brought in. He looked into the crawl space and determined that the job I requested was unable to be done, declined the job, and walked away. It was frustrating, but I understood. Plumbline then proceeded to charge me for "journeyman labor" of almost $100. I called and asked what I was being charged for when they denied the job and walked away, she claimed they were here for over an hour and tried to get it installed. which is untrue. Not to mention the fact that my state does not honor the journeyman licensing, but yet they still tried to put that license on the charge. I highly advise going through a different company, the technicians don't seen to really care about residential calls, and put very little effort in helping us. and the office staff, even though very polite and nice, don't seem like they want to help me understand why I'm being billed when the job was denied. save the stress and time, go somewhere else."

Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an uncertified HVAC pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. A certified HVAC technician tackling your home projects protects you as a homeowner.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Certified” badge. Angi Certified businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Knowing how long your existing HVAC units can last is essential to determine if you need a repair or replacement. Typically, most modern air conditioning units can last between 15 to 20 years, and most furnaces can work properly for 15 to 30 years. If your HVAC system is on the older side and you decide to replace one unit, it might make sense to replace both simultaneously to save on costs and future hassle.
While different HVAC contractors might offer higher or lower prices than competitors, the best time to replace your HVAC system is when customer demand is low. The beginning of summer and the beginning of winter bring the most demand for HVAC systems, so if you can, consider replacing your HVAC units in the early spring or fall. Many HVAC companies offer special off-season coupons that help lower the overall cost.
The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.
The average cost of HVAC repairs is around $350. However, that price can be as low as $100 or as high as $2,000 or more, depending on the repair. For example, replacing a capacitor is a relatively inexpensive repair, ranging from $100 to $500. However, a compressor repair is a more expensive repair, ranging from $750 to $2,000.
