I do not understand why there isn't a policy to upcharge for the additional distance, which I'd be willing to pay for up front if required to get an estimate, if the amount paid could be subtracted from the ultimate total if the vendor does the work for which they provided an estimate. There may be other aspects and other considerations, and they could be built into the cost of services provided, if the vendors would only respond.
