Description of Work: The air filter changed, ducts cleaned, etc. They also cleaned the dryer vent, included in their service. They even took out the air vents out, cleaned them so well that it looked like brand new! No other company I had doing the same service had done this before. I am not a technical type of person but I know what they performed was incredible. They worked hard and long but got the work done. Arrived on time and told me it would take about 3 hrs to get this done, and they were correct on the estimate of time. They vacuumed the areas that they had worked and small things fell out of the air vents. When they left the whole house was so fresh and smelled so much better. I will hire them as long as I live. I asked how the air vent could be fixed so I would not freeze to death while working on my computer. That was fixed too. Anything I asked for them to do, it was done to my satisfaction. Find out for yourself, you will understand what I mean.

+ -1 moreThe tech arrived at stated time, introduced himself, was shown where units were located and he went to work. The tech. was neat and clean, dressed in a company white shirt with his name. He easily explained what he was accomplishing if I asked. One part needed replacement in the compressor which he showed me the results and difference between the operation with the new part. The work areas were kept clean and tech wore booties whenever entering the home to perform work. The price paid included cleaning and servicing two a.c. compressors and parts and labor for one unit and two new filters.
Description of Work: Service of two a.c. units for seasonal startup.

+ -1 moreI think I am probably going to call them soon and have them service my heat/furnace. They seem to be very good in what they are doing. The price is probably right in there, it’s right down in there with about 3 or 4 service agents in Reno. They are very competitive. Quality is good, they tell me what is going on. I wasn’t in a rush and they came out within day, I think. If I had been in a rush they would have come out that day if it was an emergency, but it wasn’t. They set the appointment and called to make sure it was still good just before they arrived. I watched what they were doing and they explained what they were doing. I would recommend them to others, they are a good reputable company. I was pretty happy with what they advised me.
Description of Work: The stuff that I don’t do myself, I change my own filters and everything. I generally try to use Sierra Air. They looked at my air system overall and advised me on some other things that I really should have changed, which we haven’t done yet because it was in the winter. They advised us that our venting is not quite the right size and that needs to be redone. Now it is time to reservice it again, they serviced it when they were out. It probably cost close to $100 because they adjusted the jets and then the other was a quote for doing some changes.

The system that they installed was of lower capacity than the other bidders were going to install and it cost me more. This month I'm going to get the system replaced by someone else.

+ 0 moreJob took a day and a half. Had to come back 2 days later for dryer vent. Glitches were found and corrected promptly. Heat pump in Reno area is a fairly new idea, at 35 degrees heating from heat pump will automatically switch to oil and above 35 deg will switch back to heat pump. So far all is well. The Sierra HVAC team were all courteous, professional, and took time to explain all details of installation.
Description of Work: Replace 24 year old a/c and oil heater with a heat pump/ac and new oil heater. Replaced air ducts from 1960 with new insulated flex ducting. Hooked up new above ground heating oil tank. Extended dryer vent to outside.

From the very first time I received a phone call from them, in August, I have received nothing but professional and courteous, 1 on 1, customer service. Every person I have spoken with, including the owner, have all been warm and wonderful individuals. This company offers a payment plan with no interest charges, which is very rare and unbelievably good customer service to me.

The installation was done in great time and the techs knew what they were doing! I cannot believe how fast they did the job, but more importantly, they did the job so that we know it will provide heat and air conditioning when we need it! They tested and re-tested the controls and made sure everything was complete before leaving! If you are getting work done of this type, use Sierra Air! They Rock!!!

Description of Work: Service manager Katrina Bailey, called me to follow up on a missed appt. She not only refunded me the entire costs for the service they gave me the filter free and apologized on the phone and than again in writing. Anyone can make mistakes, but few follow up with true professional care that is immediate. I did not expect to get a free filter( mine are bit more expensive) nor did I expect her to make the delivery herself to my front porch , nor did I expect to have my full contract repaid. As a result I will continue to do business with them, they really cared and did not wish to lose me as client. They want my business and went out of their way to make up for a mistake that showed professional care, they are local, care and most importantly did not try to pretend that nothing happened. They apologized and then wanted to make up for the mistake anyway possible. Honest. They had fixed my furnace and AC last summer, did a great job and my house is that much warmer, quiet and cooler when needed. There repairmen are professional, polite and able. they fixed my furnace that another business had not installed correctly and charged me far less than, while making some much needed improvements that have made the difference this winter.
