They said they would be here at 7:00am. They did show up on time and worked all day and this project was completed in 3 days. Roberto Jimenez is very professional. He was accomodating and took the time to explain everything and answered all our questions and concerns. His knowledge and expreience left us feeling we were in good hands and this project would be done correctly with no worries. The project was done just as we thought.. The cost of this project we felt was very failr considering the amount of work plus the service and quality of the job we received. We are so pleased with his work. We would highly recommend him to anyone needing this kind of work. Do not hesitate to give him a call.!!!!!
Description of Work: He tore out the drive way, walkway, front porch and backyard patio. He prep and compacted the ground and poured new concrete and put pavers in the backyard to replace the slab of conrete patio

Roberto is an amazing contractor and business owner. He was responsive and punctual throughout the whole process. He showed up for the initial estimate on a Friday evening after I called him earlier that day. 3 other concrete companies told me they do not do estimates on Friday afternoons. He showed up on time and we walked him through what it was that we were looking for. Roberto offered his expertise on our area and what he would do if it was his house. After about an hour we had our plan in place. I called him the next day to let him know our demolition schedule and he said they would be at our house the day after demolition to get started. He showed up the night before to go over a few things, at that point my wife and I added a slab in the backyard to put our shed on top of. Roberto was flexible and we were able to tack on the small job to the next day's work. True to his word, he and his crew arrived at our house right at 7 am and began to prep the area. I came home from work around 4 the same day and found the job was done and his crew were busy cleaning up the area to leave it the same way they found it. Roberto himself showed up an hour later to check the work and make sure it met his high quality standards. All in all Roberto is an honest, hard working small business owner. He understands what it takes to be successful and I look forward to working with him and his crew in the future.

Roberto transformed my house from old and broken down to new and improved. All my friends and neighbors have commented on how beautiful the house looks with the new concrete. He has excellent customer skills and did everything possible to make sure I was satisfied. If I need any concrete whatsoever, I will be sure to contact Roberto and his topnotch crew.
Description of Work: Roberto took out the old driveway, sidewalk and approach. He took out the old fence, the concrete surrounding the property and hauled it away. He then reinstalled new sprinkler lines and poured an 8-inch thick concrete curb around the whole property to hold the lawn from washing down the sidewalk. He then poured a new driveway, sidewalk and approach.

Roberto always showed up to perform the work and supervise his crew. Everyone had a job to do and worked together. Roberto explained the steps involved and kept us informed as to what was happening next. This was a large project involving approximately 921 sq. ft. of 4" concrete and another 1760 sq. ft. of stamped concrete with drains. Process took about three weeks to complete Quality work. Exceptional pricing. Very pleased with Aztec's work and can highly recommend their services. We are thrilled with our new stamped concrete patio.
Description of Work: Installed cement walkways at side yards, installed new stamped concrete patio, installed new stamped concrete path and fire pit area. Installed pavers from paver driveway to side yard. Two colors on stamped concrete with a wet look seal.

Aztec Concrete absolutely the BEST! Roberto (Owner) is hard working and was out on our job site, either working with his crew or there to check the work each day. He come over to meet us and go over our project multiple times before we started. He even met us at the supplier to pick out pavers and the pattern style. He has a great eye and we trusted his input with great results. He is honest and will tell you any issues up front but always has a solution to fix a problem....without any hidden cost! Would highly recommend Aztec Concrete!! too long to list all the small things that he did to make our project run smoothly....Thank you Roberto!

Roberto arrived on the job with his crew on June 5th to start work on concrete for our hot. My dad meet them in the back yard and gave them the measurements for the PVC piping. Roberto had plans to start pouring concrete that same day but we needed to get the conduit PVC pipes, as our electrician was out of town and did not have time to drop the pipes off. His crew laid a plank made out of wood through our front yard so they could avoid damaging as much grass as possible. They were also careful when walking past the curb to their trucks because of the flowers that were planted. His crew dug up and removed the existing grass in the back yard for the area where the concrete pad was going to be poured and disposed of the grass. They also removed existing pavers and had the pavers removed from the property. They formed the pad with 2X4's and preped the area for pouring of the concrete for the following day. Roberto and his crew arrived early June 6th to pour the concrete. Per the measurements my dad gave Roberto's crew, his crew laid the pipes and poured the concrete. A few hours later, I decided to look to see how it was looking and they were already brooming the finish. I noticed the pipe was set in the wrong placed. I spoke with the crew and was advise they laid it as my dad had discussed the measurements with them. I informed them unfortunately it was incorrect and asked what could be done. I was told the concrete was already starting to set and they were sorry. I called Roberto and left a message describing the situation. Roberto called me back within maybe five minutes and was on his way over. Prior to Roberto getting here, his crew already had a trench dug up and was ready to place the pipe where I had wanted it. So his crew and I did the measurements this time making sure they were correct. I told Roberto and his crew I was so sorry and was not sure how this happened and they understood. Roberto's primary concern was making sure the job was done correct regardless where the fault was. Although they made a trench, refitted the pipe, and smoothed out the concrete a second time, Roberto did not charge me anything additional for our error. Even with the extra work, Roberto and his crew were courteous at all times, professional, and acted ethical. I would highly recommend using them in the future and recommend them to my family and friends. We are extremely happy with the results and very thankful for Roberto's vision on how to design our steps and pad. Thank you for all your hard and extra work :-)
Description of Work: Roberto came out to give us an estimate on a small concrete pad (about 130 sqft) for a hot tub. We also needed conduit PVC pipes to run under the concrete so the electrical wire would not show from the electrical panel to the hot tub. My husband and I wanted the pad to go from the house to the planter. We also wanted our wooden steps leading from the sliding doors to be redone in concrete. Roberto came up with an idea of making one step instead of two and adding a rounded edge from the steps to the planter. We decided to try it and it came out beautiful. It was exactly what we wanted.

I had read the reviews for Aztec and found one to be particularly helpful. It pertained to having a practice of receiving a number of bids and typically going with the one in the middle. In the past I've also followed that philosophy. For this project I had four companies come out and provide an estimate. Sure enough, Aztec's bid was the lowest (by $300. to $600). When Roberto arrived he was very professional and walked me through my options. He explained step by step what he and his team would do and how long the project would take. I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire process. He also explained that the new exposed aggregate would probably not match the existing due to the age of the old, but he said it would be a close match. Because it was a smaller job he was able to schedule it in-between some larger projects and told me that he would be calling the night before he was able to start the project just to make sure the schedule worked for me. Three days later his team arrived and completed the work in one day. On the day of the project they actually poured the mixture on my neighbors driveway (it was an easier access point) and I was worried the concrete would leave a mess but when the project was over it was as if they were never there. Roberto called the next day to make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns and to generally follow up with the work he and his team had done. I was impressed throughout the entire process. I've already given his contact info to a number of people I've run across. Roberto was right, the new patio extension is not a 100% match to the old patio but it is very close and hardly noticeable. Our other option was to go with a broom swept concrete patio, and although it would have been cheaper I am so glad we went with the exposed for the match. Here is a corny detail,..Roberto also left a small area where I could write my children's' names in the patio. Pretty cool. His team did a great job cleaning up, were very easy to work with and made sure nothing was out of place or dirty when they left. They took their time and made sure I was happy with the end product.
Description of Work: Poured a new exposed aggregate patio extension beside a 13 year old existing exposed aggregate patio.

The work went well. Roberto was very communicative with me and his crew. He had about 4 or 5 men working on the project. The first day he said he would start at 7:00 AM and he and his crew were there on time. On that first day, they tore everything up and hauled the old concrete away. On the second day they were there at 7:00 AM and did the prep work for pouring the concrete. About mid-afternoon on the second day they poured the concrete, leveled, brushed and cured the concrete. So, it took them approximately 2 days to complete the project. I had a wooden gate that had to be removed and because they raised the sidewalk higher than it was before we thought the gate would have to be cut at the bottom to shorten it. Roberto came out on a Sunday to put the gate back on. Fortunately, he did not have to cut the bottom of the gate. Although, he did adjust the latch so that it would work properly. All in all, we were very pleased with the end results. Roberto and his crew were very skilled, professional, punctual, polite and we would reccommend their work anytime.
Description of Work: Tore out the old sidewalk to the front door and replaced it with new. I had problems with flooding and puddling and Roberto and his crew raised and slightly slanted the new sidewalk to resolve the flooding problem. They also tore out the old asphalt driveway and replaced it with poured and brushed concrete. I requested that the driveway be extended on the sides and slanted to avoid flooding into the garage. They poured the concrete and slanted it, added a curb and driveway wings. They also cleaned up and hauled away all of the old asphalt and concrete.

I contracted the job last year but we were unable to schedule the work, my fault not theirs. Roberto was very accommodating and was willing to wait through the winter until temperatures were warm enough this spring. He performed the work for the original price, on time and without further input from me.
Description of Work: Aztec ripped out an old, cracked concrete slab driveway and poured a new one. The work was performed as scheduled and took about a week including curing time. The result is entirely satisfactory and looks great. Disruption or damage outside the driveway area is minimal.

We contacted Aztec Concrete through Angies List and Roberto the owner called us back immediately. The next day he came out ot give us a bid and by happenstance he had a three day opening in his schedule. He and his crew started the following day and even worked Saturday to complete our project. Both Roberto and his crew were extremely knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. They were very prompt and cleaned up after themselves daily. Our project was complicated and time consuming but Roberto and his crew did not take any shortcuts or cut any corners. We changed the back steps a couple of times to make it all flow better (before the pour) and the crew worked to accomodate any of my requests. My husband and Roberto layed out the front walkway while I was at work, when I saw it, it was not what I had in mind and Roberto and a couple of his guys redid the entire lay out without even a question. I cannot give them high enough marks, I highly, highly recommend Aztec Concrete and would not hestitate to hire them again. In my opinion they could handle any job from the most simple to the most complicated.
Description of Work: Aztec Concrete formed and poured several concrete locations at our large remodel project. They formed and poured a meandering walkway that was approximately 4' x 60' from the street to the front porch. They also formed and poured a rather complicated 12' x 30' curved entrance pad at the entrance to our home. In the back of the house they formed and poured an addition to the existing patio that was approximately 8' x 15' with three steps coming off of a spiral staircase. This job was not an easy one but Roberto (the owner) was extremely knowlegeable and very willing to step out of the box for our project.

The first job went slow because of the temperature at the time. I moved in to the house in December and could not move into the shop until the shop floor was coated. It took three days to heat the slab floor to a temperature that would allow the first coat of epoxy to stick, two days for the first coat to cure enough to put the second coat on and three days for the second coat of epoxy to cure enough to move in on. The work itself went quickly, it was the temperature and cure time that took so much time. Do NOT do this kind of a job in the winter if you can avoid it, I couldn't. In addition to the labor and materials to do the job, it cost me a little over $300.00 in propane to heat the shop for the time it took to do the job and cure the epoxy. Six months later, when the weather was a bit warmer, the second job went very fast and smoothly once the cement blocks were delivered. One full day to do the prep work, build the wall, put in the drain pipe and drain rock, and do the clean up. I will use this company again to complete the retaining wall.
Description of Work: This company has done two jobs for me. First they cleaned and coated my shop floor (approx. 1700 sq. ft.) with a two layer epoxy. Second they put in a curved retaining wall of cement block, with drain rock and pipe approx. 70 feet long and 3 feet high, with a low 4 foot half circle planter in front.

Roberto gave us a price which was much better than others we received. Based on reviews we had seen on Angieslist (cheapest is not always the best) and his pricing we decided to proceed. From the moment he and his crew arrived (on time) we knew we had made the right choice. They framed the job, graded the areas and started pouring the first day. It took four days of pouring due the amount of time they spent smoothing and finishing each load they poured. Respectful, polite, professional and accomodating. Cannot praise these guys high enough

We called on a Wendsday and made plans for Roberto come the next day to give us an estimate. He arrived right on time and gave us some suggestions about our project and also an estimate. We agreed on a price that we thought was fair and set up a date for the work to be done. Roberto and the crew arrived right on time and began work. They were all very polite and hard working and completed the job on time. The patio area looks great and we are very pleased with Roberto and his crew. We would not hesitate to use this great company again.

Outstanding overall. We met with Roberto (the owner), who stopped by to walk through the project, and to give us an estimate and samples, within a day or two of calling him. Estimate was no obligation and was sent to us within 24 hours of the visit. Roberto is quite the artist when it comes to concrete and paver work, listening to what we wanted, and then sketching out how it would look and the various options that were available. Throughout the design process he was wonderful to work with. The price he provided was very fair (within range of other prior estimates we had received). One interesting note was that he recommended an 18" concrete border around the pavers for stability. He said that a narrow 6' border that is often used would crack easily, and since he stands behind his work, he wanted to make sure he did the best possible job. Once we contracted with him to do the work, we set a date. He and his team arrived on time, and set to work. Each day, they arrived first thing and worked tirelessly all day long. First was finalizing the plan - painting the design on the ground, then excavation (all by hand, using jackhammers where the ground was too hard). Then concrete for walkways and borders, and then pavers. At the end of it all, we were delighted with the results. The patio looks much better than we had hoped for - which is the advantage of using an artisan, rather than a large company. Roberto and his team are very proud of every installation they do, and their attention to detail showed throughout. Everyone is very impressed by the results (which are gorgeous).
Description of Work: We wanted a sidewalk to the back yard, to connect with a new patio (replacing a DG area that had been recommended by a prior contractor, but which was very unsatisfactory). We decided that pavers would be the way to go for the patio, as we like the look, and felt we wouldn't have to deal with cracking. Aztec had done the concrete work in a major remodel across the street, so we figured we'd give them a try.

The entire experience was good. I called the company and asked for an estimate. Roberto, the company owner came over, we discussed what I wanted. He was very professional. He didn't try to sell me anything. He made suggestions when I asked for them and quoted a good price for the project. He and his crew started the following monday morning at the time they said they would. They removed all the dirt and concrete and hauled it off. Next they framed the walkway, laid a few inched of base material and some other prep work. They weren't able to have concrete delivered that day so they left and said they'd be back first thing the next day. They were. They poured the concrete and did the cosmetic finishes and were done. They returned a couple days later to remove the formes and do any clean up wok remaining. Roberto kept me informed about every step and was there for it all making sure his guys did a great job. I would definitely recommend Roberto and Aztec's Concrete company for future needs.

Description of Work: They poured my footings and stem wall for our addition and a small stamped patio . When the addition is complete I will call them back to pour the large area of the patio. You would be a fool not to use them they are great. Our people who is doing the addition has told me that out of all the additions they have done that this footing and stem wall is the most square and accurate that they have ever seen.

Taking the recommendations from Angie's List I contracted with Aztec's Concrete to excavate, form and pour four seperate areas in my yard. The job totaled about seven yards of concrete. I found Mr Jimnez, the owner, to be responsive and punctual. I expected the job to to at least two days and was amazed when he arrived on the day scheduled with a work crew of 6 (or more) and began excavating the areas by hand. By mid day the areas were excavated, formed and a base layer or rock put down. By early afternoon the concrete truck arrived and he poured all four areas. He finished off the concrete with expansion lines and nice broom finish. By late afternoon his crew removed the forms, cleaned the area and departed. The crew was hard working and efficient. I was amazed that the entire project took only a day. Bottom line, Roberto Jimenez does what he says he going to do and then some. I highly recommend Mr Jimenez and Aztec's Concrete.

Aztecs Concrete / Roberto Jimenez -Back in May 2012 Roberto and his awesome crew came to my establishment to work around my building where a new concrete path, a handicap ramp with a handrail and a fence along the ramp were needed. He showed me his project's portfolio with all the high quality jobs that he had previously done. I asked him for an estimate and without any hesitation he immediately provided me with one the very next day. The price was right on the money, so I was able to make my decision right after comparing his estimates with couple of more local contractor's prices. And by the following week on the 18th of May he personally came with his crew and started to work on my project. They finished it right exactly when they told me they would in a very professional way. When the job was completed Roberto Jimenez told me that I could contact him at anytime if any questions or concerns should arise.Overall, I truly recommend Aztecs Concrete to all my family and friends. They do deliver high quality that last! SincerelyMiguel EstradaBest Hardwood FlooringReno, NV 89502

Roberto is very easy to work with. He is an incredibly hard worker who takes pride in a job well done. He went out of his way for us and we are very pleased with the final product. We are now going to use him for other projects on our lot as well.
