Description of Work: poured 3 porches, a walkway down the side of my house (approx. 30 ft) 2 small patios with a walkway in between and a small area for barbequeing. |After cleaning up the entire backyard.

Description of Work: I used Angie's List to locate a reliable, quality Concrete contractor to put in a new patio. I decided on Aztec's Concrete to excavate, form, and pour a large area in my backyard based on all the reviews I read. Other than one hick-up, all the positive reviews I read were correct! Roberto showed up on time, every day and demonstrated a great work ethic the entire time. He gave some great suggestions, which we took. Roberto and his crew did a great job with a difficult slopping task. He was concerned about water runoff and addressed the problem by adding a drainage pipe beneath the concrete so water will drain away from the house and added some curbing, effectively controlling any water runoff concerns we may have had. |We also learned during the excavation that the original contractor filled a portion of the backyard where the new patio was going with sand that created a soft area and a potential weak spot for new concrete to creak if not fixed. Roberto took care of that as well. He dug out the sand and filled it in with road base and compacted it. And if that wasn't enough, he added rebar in that area. It was great seeing the actual owner of a business doing the work alongside with his workers. |As for the hick-up, it was discussed with Roberto that he would come back and pressure wash the sides of the house where a lot of the "Concrete Sealant" over sprayed on the house. I returned home one day from work to learn that one of Roberto's crew came over, unbeknownst to me, and pressure washed the house, kind of... First he only cleaned 1/3 of the area that needed cleaning. He used the pressure washer too close to the house, literally removing some of the paint from the house, but what really upset me was he let gasoline drip from the pressure washer onto the brand new cement, effectively dissolving the sealant that was on the concrete, leaving behind a bleached spot on the cement. |Granted, the stain is only about seven inches in diameter, but what concerned me the most is the possibility of the gasoline prematurely breaking down the "Cream" topping of the new cement... I guess time will tell... This was a big investment for us and the worker showed no respect for our purchase or his employer's good reputation. |Nevertheless, the patio area looks great and we are very pleased with Roberto and his crew, well, all but one of his crew. Roberto delivered exactly what we wanted, I recommend Roberto and I would not hesitate to use him again. |

Description of Work: They replaced chewed up concrete walkway with pavers. They did an excellent job and completed the work beautifully. I would highly recommend.

Description of Work: Roberto Jimenez and his crew were AWESOME!! They showed up every day at the appointed time and worked very hard to build a foundation for the remainder of our new back yard landscaping. They followed the specifications exactly in the plan design. Roberto's crew laid San Francisco cobblestone tumbled pavers over an area of 1300 sq. ft., and at Roberto's suggestion, the pavers were extended along one side of our house, down the side of the driveway to the city sidewalk. They also demolished an existing cement pad that was off the back sliding door and added drainage pipe beneath the pavers so water will drain away from the house. We would surely give Roberto and his crew an "A+", not just an "A", if we could! They were punctual, friendly, efficient, and not just concrete workers...they are craftsmen! We now have a beautiful patio to enjoy for years to come. Thank you, Roberto!! |

Description of Work: Put pavers down in my backyard, up one side of the house, and sidewalk. They did a beautiful job. I am very pleased and would recommend them to anybody. They showed up exactly as stated two weeks ahead.

Description of Work: What these guys do is OUTSTANDING!! These guys did a total patio replacement and were excellent. They arrrive on time. professional and very courtious. They were very good with my dogs as to making sure the gates were locked and shut when they left for the day as well. The crew performed the work in less than the time frame given. My new patio looks great and I know it is done correctly this time and the crew stands behind their work with a one year total replace guarantee. I would recommend this company to all my friends. Description of Work: Sealed and colored our large driveway and concrete in backyard.

Description of Work: Framed, poured and finished a total 540 sq ft of patio and sidewalk. 4" thick with 3/8" rebar every 18" plus 6 bag mix with fiber. Bloom finish with a final spraying of cure it to slow the curing process for a harder cure. Roberto Jimenez was very personal, and friendly. He and his crew showed up on time as promised. The best part was that Roberto also showed up ( unlike some other contractors that just send a crew and you have to basically explain the job again and partially supervise) and personally measured according to my plans and made sure the job was done right without me lifting a finger. The price worked out as $4.35 per sq ft. which is very fair. I've hired two contractors in the past for a 600 sq ft foundation and 13 yards of sidewalk / patio and they didn't even come close to Roberto's quality of work, and professionalism. This is my third house I've owned and always do my own work because it is hard to find a contractor who does quality work at a fair price. I highly recommend Aztec's Concrete.
