Description of Work: I had a problem with the dead bolt on my front door. The house was built in the 30's and the lock is original to the house. I could not open the door it was after 6:00pm when I called. I set up an appointment for them to come out Saturday. Andy arrived and started working on the lock right away. He had to work on it for about an hour then he went to his shop to find a replacement piece for the brass lock came back in a timely manner and finished the job. I was very impressed with his work and the price was very reasonable for the time and effort Andy put into the job. It was nice to deal with an business owner who takes great pride in the work they do.

+ -1 moreMy wife brought in the locks and he told her it would be $20.00 to do the work and it would take about an hour. The work was done in under an hour. It was all keyed to the key we supplied. The price was much less then I had figured it would cost. We were very pleased with the the service and speed that the work was accomplished. I would have no problem in using Andy's Lock and Key again in the future.
Description of Work: We called and asked about bringing in 2 locks to be re-keyed to match our front door. We also said that we did not have any keys for the current configuration. We asked how long it would take. He said about an hour, if they weren't too busy when we brought them.

Description of Work: We had a front lock that constantly got stuck and when we turned the knob it would not open. Andy came over quickly, and changed the lock, plus he checked our locks at the back door and made sure they worked. He made extra keys for us. To me, he went above and beyond the call of duty!! His cost was very very reasonable and his work was well worth it I HIGHLy RECOMMEND ANDY'S LOCK AND KEY!! Georgia Hedrick

+ -1 moreOn the day they were scheduled to come, I received a call asking if they could come earlier than expected. This was welcome news. The locks were changed. The work was done neatly. My half-completed repair work was completed, even to the trim and looks better than the work I could have done myself. I believe they would have been justified in charging more for the carpentry work in addition to the locksmithing. Under the circumstances, the bill was more than fair. I decided to engage this locksmith because I found their response to an earlier (negative) review was thoughtful and addressed satisfactorily addressed the complaint.
Description of Work: I needed to change the locks on a house I had recently bought. While the house was vacant, there was an attempted break-in. I had done some repair work on the the broken door frame but had not completed it.

+ -1 moreI arrived at 5:30pm - they're open until 6. He told me I should have came in earlier and that it would take a half hour. I didn't go back. ABC Lock and Glass in Sparks did it for me instead... and only $20.
Description of Work: Quoted me $25 to have a ski rack lock opened.
