Allen Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

This was a pain-free experience in every regard. My kitchen faucet suddenly started badly leaking under the cabinet on Friday evening. I emailed Allen Plumbing (selected because of the high Angie's List rating) and got an email response very promptly. In a subsequent phone conversation on Saturday, he explained my options - repair the old unit (if possible, and he felt it would be likely that it could be repaired), or purchase a new unit. His labor charge would be the same for either option. I chose to purchase a new faucet to be installed on Monday. Lamont Allen, the owner/operator of the company, was prompt, neat, courteous, personable - and obviously very competent. In the course of our Saturday conversation, he mentioned that my faucet would most likely have a lifetime warranty, that replacement parts (if needed) would be free from the manufacturer, and told me how to pursue that possibility with the manufacturer. Once I decided to replace the unit, I did not follow up with regard to the kitchen faucet, but was able to use that information to successfully follow up with the manufacturer of my bathroom faucet, which had developed a problem with the finish. The manufacturer is sending me a replacement faucet. When I hire professional services, one of the things that I especially value is a a contractor who is proactive about sharing information and helping me clearly understand my options. Lamont Allen fully met my expectations in this regard.

Lamont the contractor made my appointment the same week I called. He and his assistant arrived on time and promptly assessed what needed to be done. I thought I would have to spend several hundred dollars. Lamont fixed my problem for $89.00

As it was evening, Lamont was able to tell me how to turn off the furnace blower and then dropped by the next day to fix the problem. He explained the problem, showed me what he needed to do and fixed the problem with minimum trouble or cost. Thank you so much for giving me back a warm home during this first cold spell of the winter season.

The leak turned out to be a loose packing nut on the hot water supply line; instead of an hour to replace the valve, all it took was 5 minutes to tighten it! The water softener removal took about an hour. Javier was very conscientious and explained how the system was plumbed originally. He re-plumbed the pipes to keep the whole-house shut-off valve accessible. Excellent work, professionally done, and very fast and cost-effective.

I contacted Lamont Allen of Allen Plumbing, heating & air conditioning early last week, asked if he did dishwasher installs, yes he does. He impressed me with a new water heater install last month (Aug 2015) and I wanted to give him the business. He sent Javier (who also helped with the water heater install). Javier did a great job. He asked me how it looked when it was complete and was patient with my questions. He ran a quick dishwasher run. I've done two loads now and all is fine! Thanks Javier. I should also mention, Lamont was able to fit me into his schedule on very short notice, again. I purchased the dishwasher on 9/8/15, it was delivered by RC Willey on Fri 9/11/15 in the morning, I called Lamont and said it arrived (he had instructed me to contact him once it had arrived due to my 3 hour delivery window). He sent Javier the same afternoon to install, thanks Lamont. On the two occasions I've called him for a job, he's called me back on the same day and we scheduled the service right away. I'm pleased I joined Angie's List, as I would not have known about Allen Plumbing's great reviews otherwise. Yes, I would recommend Allen Plumbing.

Lamont came out several times to coordinate the work. He was responsive, efficient and very professional. He did excellent work and I highly recommend him.

I found Lamont Allen of Allen Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning here on Angie's List. Due to his great reviews I contacted him. He came out to look at the job the same day. He provided the new water heater (which was convenient for me) and installed it the next day. Our water heater was leaking and he agreed replacement was necessary as soon as possible. Lamont was knowledgable, professional, prompt, reasonable charge, and went the extra mile when he discovered our original water heater had been installed incorrectly (our builders sub contractor had installed water lines backwards, we had a fast recovery unit so we always had hot water but after Lamont rectified the lines, we notice a great improvement in our hot water). Lamont still kept to his original quote even after taking the extra time to rectify the other plumbers error. Lamont also installed a drip pan (think that's what it's called) as our original plumber did not do so, he also installed new insulation where needed and replaced some pipes where needed. He showed me how to light the pilot light if ever needed, and cleaned up after the job was complete. He also removed our old water heater, which was also convienient for me. I will certainly call Lamont again, soon, for a few other plumbing projects I need addressing. I appreciate doing business with service companies that have integrity, knowledge and are reasonable with their rates, and most importantly, do the job correctly. Lamont seems to truly enjoy what he does and it's apparent to me because of the job well done he provided, not to mention, he's truly a friendly man.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Allen Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioner, I called them on a wed and they were out the next day, I was thinking they were just going to clear a clog but it turned out to be more extensive and problematic they fixed everything with care and detail and the charge was very reasonable. I will definitely use then in the future if I needed too.

Lamont Allen provided excellent, prompt service on my AC unit. I chose him because of the many good reviews already on Angie?s List. Besides being professional, pleasant and knowledgeable, he gave clear explanations of the repair process. I have no doubts about using him for my HVAC and plumbing needs in the future, and will gladly recommend him to my friends.

A/C went out during the heat spell in Jun and we had family coming in that weekend. Called our regular folks but they were booked solid and could not do a service call for a week. Allen's was top rated on Angie's List in all categories so gave them a call. They said they would try to squeeze us in that day, although they too were booked solid. They finished a job early came right over and within an hour had the repairs completed. Lamont was professional, courteous, gave a fair price and was efficient. Without question Id use them again.

I wish I had known about Lamont when we installed this furnace. He gave us 200%. He talked to everyone under the sun who had anything to do with York. Found out what we needed and kept the pressure on to get it done. He is the best and we do so appreciate him. His bill was so reasonable! Everything is working better than it has from the day we installed it. He is an excellent diagnostic guy. He fixed it!!

First, Lamont prioritized my project because it had a leak that required us to completely shut off all hot water for the house. He came out right away and stopped the flood. He then came out shortly thereafter with all the parts to effect the complete repair. Along the way we discovered that the builder's plumber had installed the pipes to the hot water heater backwards. Lamont fixed it all so we now have a properly working system and I believe are saving money since we are using the full capacity of the system. Lamont ALWAYS does good work. I would never hesitate to use him for any project I needed done.

This is the second time that we have used Allen plumbing. Both times they really went out of their way to help with the sundry small problems we have with our two houses on one property. They are knowledgeable and very thorough in their work. I believe it's just two people, so they are often very busy and can take a couple times to get ahold of, but it's definitely worth it. Lamont explained in detail what was needed, extremely polite (very important to me!), honest, & very hard working. He came the same day I called, after a very hot day at 6:45 pm to get our A/C running again. I was very impressed & highly recommend him to anyone. I used him due to the many happy customers from Angie's List & am very happy I did!

Initial dealings with Lamar were excellent and I wrote highly positive reviews reflecting this. More recently Lamar has ingored our texts to his cell phone, and calls to his assistant in the office requesting that Lamar contact us. Once was about a leaking facucet in our kitchen sink (eventually my untrained 19 year old had to replace the garbage disposal because we could never get Lamar to contact us). A second, lingering problem with hot and cold water lines switched by the original builder, has not been addressed. Lamar discovered/identified the problem, but despite many promises has not been back to fix the problem (ie switch the lines back to where they should be.). Disappointing, because the relationship (started in 2012 and continued very satisfactorily for 2 years), was great when he did many jobs for us, both plumbing and HVAC.....then he seemed to lose interest in us and the service and responsiveness disappeared. His last job for us was for a condensing fan motor and capacitator for our air conditioner, but today, six months later, we have the same problem again, so maybe the work wasn't as good as we thought.

In overall, they do excellent services and would use them in future because they are nice.

Lamont returned my call the same day I called him and we set up an appointment to do the work just a day later. He texted me when he was on his way and he arrived punctually at the time we'd agreed. His price for the new garbage disposal unit was very competitive with other sources I'd researched and was a brand I like (Insinkerator); and it had more power than the original unit that wore out. The installation went smoothly and quickly and he was done in an hour. The total price was very reasonable and his hourly rate also very reasonable. When I need a plumber again, I'll know who to call. I'd have no problem using Allen Plumbing, Heating and A/C again and warmly recommend them. I was highly satisfied!

Showed up on time and were very friendly and professional. In addition, they did some plumbing work that was not part of the original estimate (unclogged a couple of drains and cleaned all the faucet screens). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Called twice, was told that I would get a call back within the hour, after three hours I called again and was told that I would get a call by 6 that night. Never got a call back. Still did not receive a call the next day.

Service went great! Lamont came out early Monday morning to work on this so I only missed about 10 minutes of work. The limiter part he needed for this older heater was not available so he had to come back the next day to install it. He was quick, precise, and thorough. I will use this company for all my heating needs.

Lamont is EXTREMELY professional and knowledgeable. He is always on time and knows exactly what he is doing and does it in a timely fashion. He has worked on our air conditioner when it went out and our heater when it wasn't working. He is VERY fairly priced and will ALWAYS use LAMONT!! He has also done work for my Mom and was patient (my Mom is 90), and very dependable. I would not hesitate to recommend Lamont to my friends and family!
