Our company is based on the certainty that our customers' needs are our first priority. As a graduate from the University of Nevada in 1999 with a degree in Marketing and a proud force behind the University of Nevada basketball team from 1995 to 1998, Lamont Allen values education, hard work and camaraderie. In addition to his formal education and business licenses as a C-1 Plumbing and Heating Contractor and a C-21 Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor, Lamont attributes his foundation and love for the profession to his father, who he watched closely growing up, learning the skills and determination necessary to be a successful contractor and master plumber. The Allen's have proudly been servicing the Reno Sparks area since 1982 providing honest, dependable and superior workmanship.

We recently had a leak with our heating/cooling systems, and after soliciting recommendations from friends in the Reno/Sparks area, we went with Allen Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning. Even though they were slammed as this is their busy season, they were able to fit us in within a few days. Once they arrived, they were very professional and diagnosed and fixed our leak within the hour! We've already scheduled for routine maintenance for our heating systems in the Fall. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Lamont was FANTASTIC! I had a slow leak from my water heater. Called another company first, guy didn't show up, didn't call me back, finally got him to come out a week later and immediately said it'd be $650. I got rid of him, googled the price of expansion tanks ($40-$200) called Lamont and he was so nice. Since it wasn't an emergency, I texted him pictures and we set a time and he showed up when he said he would. Told us what was going on, was about $140 to fix, and really was very nice and reassuring to deal with. I would recommend him to anyone and we will definitely be using him in the future.

Lamont Allen runs an efficient shop. He is polite, punctual and a master plumber. He was first to give me a bid on the work required and his bid was lower than most of the others, and he was ready to work the next day. He spotted a leak in my water heater that would have been disastrous and fixed it. Lamont is very trustworthy. I would recommend him highly.

Our furnace motor has been making scary noises, and this morning it went. The good news? We've found our plumbing/HVAC company for the long haul. In fact, I told him to give us a price on a new AC this spring and put us on the annual check-up list. Yeah. That good. Lamont Allen is amazing. The job was quickly diagnosed. He had motors on the truck. Had that puppy installed, and BTW fixed a couple other items that were affecting the efficiency of our system. Allen Plumbing was our second call. We needed someone ASAP since we were flooding our garage and drywall was soaked. The first caller said they could come our in "about 2 weeks." Lamont called us back immediately; showed up 2 hours later and did a fantastic job. Helped us manage our hot water return and replaced and cleaned up everything as needed. Would highly recommend and will use again.

I called another plumber to come out a couple weeks ago to install the earthquake straps. After messing around for a while, he said that we would need to pull the water heater out in order to get the earthquake straps installed properly, because of its location. He had already made a pretty big mess so I told him I would think about it. I called Allen because of the great reviews, and I am so glad I did! For half the price, he came out with another great employee of his, and got the straps installed properly within 30 minutes. They did not have to drain the water heater and remove it in order to do this! In addition, they were both super great guys, really friendly and personable, and very professional. I would recommend and use them again in a heartbeat. Oh, they also vacuumed and swept up what little mess they did make! Great company.

He was extremely gracious, responded almost immediately and came out within hours on a Sunday. Located the issue promptly and replaced the inoperable part. Would call again and highly recommend their service!

Four phone calls to business number and his personal cell number, but never called back. First call November 10th and fourth on December 1, 2017. Have to hire another plumber. Sad, disappointing and unprofessional.

Before making a decision we called Allen Heating for a second opinion. Lamont squeezed us into his schedule the same day. When he arrived he immediately determined that it was just a leaking supply line. He fixed the problem and saved us a ton of money. He is extremely competent, experienced, and professional. It's clear he holds his work to high standards. I could not be more satisfied. From now on, he's our go-to guy for plumbing and hvac.
Description of Work: We were in a pickle; our hot water heater wouldn't light and had water collecting in the base. I was told by a different plumbing company that it needed to be replaced.

I will never use Allen plumbing/heating again.
Description of Work: On 3/28/2017 Lamont Allen was scheduled to look at my furnace. He showed up 45 min. late which is usual for him. (I've hired him b/4 and he always shows up late but previous work was good). He said the motor in my furnace was failing & said he'd order the replacement and get it put in. After not hearing from him for the following 6 wks. I called him. It was clear that he had forgotten. He said he'd check on the motor and get back to me. A wk. went by. I called him, texted him & emailed him. He finally called, made more excuses "I'm swamped", "its not furnace season", "my workers sent the motor back". He again said he'd get that part ordered and call me back. Again, a week went by, didn't hear from him. I called him, and I got more excuses from him. I asked him why he kept putting me to the back of the line. He became argumentative, defensive, "I'm busy with a/c work", etc, etc. He also said the part was coming in that day from Rocklin and he'd call me back!! He never did. There were 3-4 calls during those last two wks. b/4 I just gave up on him. He never followed through with his final promise on 5/27/17 to get my job done. So, I spent two months dealing with this unprofessionalism. I have since had a very professional company come to my place, this new guy arrived on time! and got the job done.

First appointment was cancelled by them because of a problem with a previous appointment. THey forgot the agreed upon new appointment. I had to call and ask where they were. Thw actual work was very good.

Very well. LaMont was very personable and knowledgeable and didn't take long to replace and disposed of the old one and packaging from the new one.
Description of Work: Leaky kitchen faucet. Had me send pictures and recommended new faucet as parts for old one might take a while to find. Appreciated that so could make decision and not waste time. Purchased a new faucet and then he replaced along with new water lines.
