The service from Allen Plumbing was outstanding! During the first visit, Lamont took the time he needed to evaluate all the issues. The leak from the master bathroom was especially troublesome as it is on the second floor and the water was leaking into the garage. It took a while to detect the source of the problem. Lamont was very observant and knowledgeable. He noticed things that were not identified during our home inspection. Allen Plumbing completed all repairs promptly. They were very professional and efficient.

Fantastic. Lamont responded very fast to my call, squeezing me in between two other jobs. He and his employee came in, quickly diagnosed the issues and went to work taking care of business. Both he and his employee were polite, professional and friendly. Lamont thoroughly explained what the issues were and applied the solution I such a way as to ensure the household was not disrupted by the work (very important since I had a newborn in the house). Thank you so much, will definitely use these guys not only for future plumbing jobs but HVAC work as well

I have used Allen Plumbing and Heating before to service my air conditioner. Lamont Allen is very prompt to respond to service calls, very courteous, very efficient, and he charges a fair price. He does excellent work, and he does it fast. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, and knows what he's doing. There's a reason he's so highly rated on Angie's List. He's intelligent, honest, and fair. This trip he replaced a bad thermostat and also gave me some tips on furnace filters, showing me a more efficient place to install the filter. He was done in about 30 minutes and the advice he gave me was invaluable.

Allen Plumbing, Heating and Airconditioning was very pleasant to work with. They were very respectful and responded to our phone call promptly. We called them on Thursday and they scheduled service on Tues.

Almost immediate response to my call. They were in the neighborhood and came over within an hour. They were very fast and professional. everything was left clean, dry and functional. The charges were quite reasonable, even spending extra unbilled time to evaluate my water heater issues. They were friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend Allen for plumbing services.

I was so impressed with Lamont's work, that I am having him bid the cost of replacing my old hot water tank with an on demand, tankless hot water system. He is very knowledgeable about a water heating systems and he offered up a variety of ideas and options for me to consider. Lamont was very professional and a pleasure to work with. After our survey, I agreed to leave the water main off for another 24 hours to allow the dirt to dry out. He arrived with his digging crew Tuesday morning and they did a quick job of moving a lot of dirt, finding the leaks (one where the plastic line rubbed a rock and another where TMWA had a leaking valve). Lamont's crew exposed the problem area and reported their findings to Lamont before he arrived to confirm the assessment and effectuate the repairs. The crew then filled the holes and thorughly cleaned the area to my satisfaction. I watched the entire job and was very pleased with the efficiency of the entire process. I was very pleased when Lamont informed me that his crews are citizens or legal aliens that have worked with him for years.

They were fairly quick and it was painless. We didn't have to worry about it. The tenant let them in and they fixed it and sent us a bill. The price seemed reasonable. Everybody charges about $80 an hour.

It took Richard Allen some time to get back to me about my request for an estimate for some plumbing work on our main house, and on our rental in Carson City. I sent the request on June the 15th, by email from the site. Richard Allen did send me an email back on the 17th, saying that they could come out the next week, and that Wednesday or Thursday would be good days for them. I replied back the same day, the 17th, saying that Wednesday afternoon would be good for me. I never heard back from anyone from the company again, by Tuesday, the 21st, so I sent them another email, asking if someone would be coming by the next afternoon. I received an email later that evening. In the email, Richard Allen said that because I am in Carson City, and they would be coming from Reno, they would have to charge me an hour charge ($89), to come do an estimate. I wrote back, letting them know that none of the other companies had charged me, and I wouldn't be needing their services. I guess I should have read a bit closer, the part where it asks if they do a free estimate, and the answer they give is, 'ask for details'. But I just wanted to let people know that they do have a policy of charging an hour's fee of $89, if you aren't in Reno.

I called Allen Plumbing. he got back to me right away with an apology that it had taken a few hours. I described the job, which was to figure out how to connect a hot water pipe for the washer . I had recently had all new plumbing done and the plumber that did that job had forgot to do this and was no longer available. It looked complex to me. Pulling a water heater, re-plumbing above floor, dropping a new line under the house and going below to reconnect to the line, then putting everything back together. To make a long story shorter, LaMont figured out a creative and efficient solution that did not require removing the water heater which saved time and my money. The combination of professionalism, experience, and the ability to think about new ways to get things done makes him a pro. I recommend Allen Plumbing.

Lamont and his co-worker worked efficiently and completed the job in a timely manner.Covered the work area to keep from damaging anything. Cleaned up the work area when they finished. Lamont wanted to come back and take pictures of the installation. We have not arranged that yet. We will hopefully be able to get that done the latter part of this Month. (May). Communication was good. I was contacted to let me know when they would come out and what they would do, by email and phone. I would not have any problem in having Lamont and his crew performing work for me in the future.

I initially called Lamont because our dishwasher wasn't cleaning our dishes, not even using all the soap we put in. We wondered if water pressure might be the problem, since we've always had poor water pressure at our kitchen sink. Lamont told me up front that he didn't fix appliances, but that he could check the water pressure for us. The appointment was for the next day between 7:30 and 8:00 am. He called a little after 7:30 to let me know they would be here at 8:00, which I appreciated. Both technicians were friendly and courteous when they arrived. He ran the dishwasher to listen to how it cycled, and determined that it was filling fine and draining adequately. Then he checked the kitchen faucet and cleaned out both filters, which fixed the water pressure problem. He recommended that I call an appliance repairman, and then asked what else he could look at since he was here and would need to charge a service call. I showed him another faucet and a showerhead that also had some water pressure problems, which he cleaned out and restored normal water flow to. He also looked at a tub faucet that wasn't working, and fixed as much as he could. It could only be properly fixed by breaking in through the tiling or possibly from the crawlspace under the house, so he did what he could now, and offered to come back and tackle the bigger project of complete repair if I would like. But he showed me what to do until then. He also noticed that my air filter for the heater needed to be replaced, explained to me how I could tell when it needed changing, the effects of a dirty air filter on the heating system, and which filters are best. Overall, Lamont was very efficient, courteous, and thorough. While I thought that $89 for a service call was a little on the high side, he didn't add any additional charges for the work he did. I was very impressed by this company and will keep them in mind for future repairs and remodels.

Lamont Allen and Javier the technician were very courteous and professional. They recommended a furnace that was more appropriate to the size of the home, more efficent, less expensive than the other proposals, and qualified for local and federal tax credits. They also moved and repaired the intake ducts, insulated both the return and supply ducts for a price included in their proposal. These services were not suggested or even offered by the other companies that were solicited for proposals. As our home is over fifty years old, the original intake duct was in the living room directly above the TV viewing area. The noise generated by the old furnace required that the volume be turned up on the TV each time the furnace came on. This simple suggestion has made me much happier. It improved the airflow in the home, it is much more consistent ( no "cold" zones) and I don't have to turn up the TV each time the heater comes on. My wife was home all day during the install and told me that Lamont and Javier were very personable and unobtrusive. This was not easy to do, as they were here all day. She also mentioned that she felt safe and comfortable with them in the house. I would very highly recommend Allen Heating and Plumbing to anyone in the Reno or Sparks area, as they are extremely pleasant to deal with , very knowledgeable, efficient, respectful, fair and honest. That is an unusal combination in todays world. If I were rating this company on a scale of 1 to 10, they would get an 11.

Were very responsive and on time for all appointments. When Lamont and Javier showed up for my estimate, they wore booties in the house to protect the carpet without even being asked. I was looking for options to increase the heat in a perpetually cold room in the house. They spent a lot of time with me discussing numerous options. They assessed the problem right away and gave me a realistic solution without the "sell" to install a whole new system. Now, after the work, my room is warm for the first time in the ten years I have lived in the house. The work Lamont and Javier did seems really well done. They did want they said they would do, showed up when they said they would, and were very nice and professional. Will be recommeding them to my friends.

We chose Allen Plumbing, Heating & AC from Angies List recommendations. Lamont came over soon after we called to look over the job, he made excellent suggestions on the best way to proceed and then e-mailed a proposal including cost. He showed up to do the job exactly when he said he would and completed the work in one day for exactly the quoted cost. He tested the ac unit and it seemed to work fine---but it was a very cold day and Lamont said he would come back when it warmed up to recharge it if we didn't think it was cooling properly. We were very pleased with the whole thing!

i called on 2 different days, 2 weeks apart requesting the basic inspection service. the first time, he said he'd come over in a couple days but would call me the day before to confirm. he never called back. so i called 2 weeks later, attempting to again have him come out for service, but only recieved excuses from the personnel that politely answer the phone for him. they assured me, he would call that day. so, the way i figure it, if the man doesn't want my business, i'll be glad to pay someone else. i do not like businesses that do not have the courtesy to call back.

I started getting estimates from companies out of the yellow pages and felt that the bids were very high and I was really not impressed with any of the people that came out to give the estimates. Dealing with the two companies I found out of the yellow pages was similar to buying a used car. They tried pressure and special one day incentives and really wanted you to commit on the spot to a contract without thinking about it. I heard about Angie's List on a commerical and decided to give it a try. That is how I found Allen Plumbing Heating. I really liked working with this company. They came out, inspected the property, listened to what I wanted, and made suggestions on how to improve upon what I wanted. There was no used car salesman pressure, the price was the price and they did not mind giving me time to think it over. I felt the price was very fair and affordable. I have noticed that my electric and gas bills have gone down by a moderate amount since they completed the work. The systems they installed and fixed look very professionally done in comparison to what the builder of my house had done. I have rentals and have continued to use this company for repairs, maintenance, and new installations and am still getting great service at affordable prices. I have also referred this company to several of my friends who have also gotten the same great service that I had experienced.

On December 15th heating system would not stay on or heat the house above 70'. At 7:30 PM I called Allen Plumbing Heating & AC, got their answering service-left message. One hour later Allen called me and we made an appt. for the next day (16th) at 7:30 to 8:00 AM. Allen arrived at 8:00 AM . Allen looked at heating system found the problem and fixed it, checked burnners and cleaned and tested system. Everything is working great. The cost $89.00 for an hours work.
