Contacted Allen plumbing in the morning to repair an issue with our water heater. Lamont Allen was on site just a few hours later and promptly completed the work. An excellent experience, we would highly recommend Allen Plumbing H&AC.

This local business, (which we should all support) was extremely knowledgable, polite, patient, honest and efficient. It was a pleasure to deal with a professional that was more interested in solving your issues completely and with good common sense than with $$$ signs in his eyes. I was very impressed with Lamont Allen's knowledge and experience. He provided all of the information and advice I needed to make an informed decision regarding the choice and installation of the new energy efficient units and the pricing was quite reasonable. He and Javier arrived on time with everything needed, completed the job in one day and left the work area clean and in good order. I will definitely use their services in the future.

Wow! What great service and work. Lamont Allen responded immediately to my inquiry, gave me a ballpark figure over the phone and scheduled the job. He came out as arranged and he and his co-worker Javier got the job done in less than and hour. Lamont Allen did the work himself, he made it very easy for me to patch the drywall and made sure the range snugged right up against the wall. His price was as quoted on the phone, the work was excellent and he is a really nice guy. I have rental homes, if I need any plumbing work in the future, Allen Plumbing is getting the call.

Allen performed the work for a very reasonable price. As I had only a few days in Sparks and needed to get the work done quickly, Allen responded the next day and worked through until the job was done. I was impressed with their expertise and professionalism in contending with a rather complex installation. In the future if I have plumbing to do I will call for Allen to do the job.

I was very impressed with Lamont, the owner of the company. He contacted me thirty minutes after my initial call. Even though this was not my only heat source, I really missed it, and he came out the very next day. I was a little leery since this was a fireplace and not a typical furnace, but Lamont knew exactly how it worked and got it up and running in no time. His great personalty and vast knowledge is an asset to this community. I will definitely be calling him back to prepare my A/C and furnace to handle whatever weather this year brings.

Because of Angie's List I choice Allen Plumbing Heating and Air and was impressed. We just bought a house with a dying Air Conditioner and it was flooding the basement in between freezing up. The owner Lamont Allen came out and recharged the A/C fully explaining that he suspected that their was a freon leak. I took him through the whole house and he explained to me the problems with the vents and the intake ducts and proper care of the A/C - furnace. It was expensive, freon has gone up to $90 for a full charge and Lamont charges $90 a call. But he was thorough, polite and made sure that if I had any other questions or needed anything that he would help and follow up. When we do replace the A/C I do plan to call him a quote and advice on the proper installation.

This was a great experience. I have thrown out the business cards for all the other plumbers I have ever used.

The work went smoothly and well. Levonne arrived promptly, and began working. He set to removing the bad pipe and put in a new pipe. The leak is not leaking any more. All we have to do now is wait for the carpet to slowly dry up over time. They performed diagnostics on my heater and determined that the motor was broken. They had to leave to get a part and returned to replace the motor. They also cleaned my filter. They were very quick and very professional.

Lamont called with the arrival time which was exact. I showed him the problem and he sent his assistant out to the turck to get the exact parts needed. The job was finished in 22 min. Lamont was pleasant and professional at all times. I would recommend him to others and will definitely use him again when needed.

The temperature in Reno changes very quickly. It is common to have a 30+ degree drop in overnight temperatures. One morning last week, I tried adjust the temperature on the thermostat and the heating system was not responding. I'm disabled and frequently home during the day....and it was cold in the house! I've only owned my home for a couple of years and, since I hadn't had any problems, I hadn't established a relationship with an HVAC contractor. So, I decided to try Angie's List. And am I happy I did. I selected Allen Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning based on the reviews I read and was amazed (and thankful!) that Mr. Allen lived up to the glowing reports he received from past customers. Mr. Allen was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. When he found that the thermostat was the problem, I told him how frustrated I was with it since it had been programmed by the prior owners to lower the temperature significantly during the day. Since I couldn't figure out how to program the darn thing, I was constantly overriding the program. Mr. Allen suggested a simpler thermostat that did not require programming and I asked him to install one. I will hire Mr. Allen again and recommend him to others. The only complaint I have with Angie's List is that there is no grade of A+, which Mr. Allen certainly deserved.

I called Allen Plumbing and Heating after finding them on Angie's List. It was Tuesday morning and I was told Lamont would call back within an hour. He did and he said he could come over that afternoon between 2-4! He had the problem fixed in about 40 minutes and had us run the washing machine to be sure the sink was draining and there was no water leaking in the wall. Lamont and his assistant Javier were both courteous and professional. Lamont also took the time to explain the problem to my husband and I so we understood what was going on with the drain. Funny thing is that we had tried a friend of a friend who works for a local plumbing company and he basically blew us off (guess he didn't need the work). I was expecting to have to wait another week. Instead, we got same day service! Thanks for the great experience!
