Original service call was to repair an existing older unit. Lamont gave me an hones assessment about the unit, as well as the pros and cons of repairing or replacing with a new furnace. No pressure, just the facts. I opted for a new furnace. Lamont was professional, courteous and punctual. The furnace was installed quickly, much appreciated since the weather was cold and there were new babies in the house. Great company, great service

I called Allen's office and was told the repair man would call me the next day between 9-10 a.m. The repair man called, I explained the problem and he said he would call me between 9-10 a.m. the next day and let me know where I would fit in his schedule. I waited and waited and he never called. I called another furnace company and explained the problem and they told me to change my filter inside the house. They said to call them back if it didn't solve the problem. It solved the problem. Also when I first called Allen they said it was probably a switch and quoted me a price that seemed very expensive to me.

trap in master bathroom had corrosion and broke. called early next morning and mr.allen was able to stop by around 11:30am. finished job quickly even though replacement turned out to involve more work than originally foreseen. did 2 bathrooms and (as we are new owners and house is 47 years old), did walk thru to look at main plumbing lines and fixtures in kitchen and other bathroom. very responsive, personable and helpful.

The whole job went smoothly. We called for an appt and were told he could come over the next day. He called prior to arriving and showed up when he said he would. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We used him previously for a problem with our toilet. Very dependable, reliable and reasonably priced.

I have a single wall furnace (gas) and the blower fan was going out. I thought the whole unit may need to be replaced, but replacement parts were availalbe and he left to get a new motor and came right back and had me up and running with the single visit. Great job. Honest and genuine.

The owner, Lamont and his assistant Javier were prompt on the scheduled service date and time. They were both professional. Javier did an excellent job tuning up my furnace. I would not hestitate to refer Lamont's company to my friends and relatives.

Allen heating was one of 4 estimates that I requested. He (Lamont Allen) was very professional and as requested to all 4 companies I wanted a quote to replace the existing furnace with 1) a like single stage (he). (2) a 2 stage (he). (3) a modulating style (he) furnaces. As well as a separate quote on replacing the A/C system at the same time if feasible. Lamont covered all of the benefits of each model and emailed me the quote so we could look at it all. We painstakingly looked at all the bidders products online to get the ratings on each product and the company (Angie's list) and then made a decision based on total cost, the system we wanted to replace the old one, the brand we wanted to use and the contractor that made us the most comfortable. As sorta a matrix it came down to 2 company's right away and Lamont Allen's professionalism and working knowledge came in real strong. He did not try to push the most expensive system he installs because he knew my 22 year old home would need extensive upgrades to have a modulating furnace be capable of being it most efficient. I could go on but, the bottom line was that for the application I needed Allen Heating came out on top with no reservation and even though it was not the biggest factor his bid was the best in price too. He and his technician showed up on time the day of the install (January 2nd 2013) a very cold day. From 8 am until after 6pm and got me going. He returned 2 days later to fine tune the system to its max efficiency and answered all of my questions I had gathered. I love the new 2 stage (he) furnace and I am happy with my choice. I have decided to follow through with the rest of the system the be replaced after temperatures warm up a bit and to add to the story Lamont was the only contractor that bid on the a/c system as I requested from all 4 companies.

My heater quit working Friday night and by early Saturday morning, my son and I were cold (January in Reno). I called Allen Plumbing, Heating and AC at 8:00am. He called back within 15 minutes and arrived just before 9:30am. My first impression was of a neat and competent professional. At no time was my first impression altered. When he entered my home, without prompting he covered his work boots. The heater required a new switch which he had in his truck. By 10:45, the heater was repaired and working. By 11:00, he had changed the filters, reviewed the repair showing me the faulty part, explained the general health of the heater, talked about filters (including where to get the unusual size required) and explained the bill. When he left, he took his (minor) mess with him leaving the heater area cleaner than when he arrived. I was charged for the part, time and a weekend service call. I am warm and very happy with the service received. I would highly recommend Allen Plumbing, Heating and AC.

Our water heater quit working and we called Allen on New Years Eve. Even though it was a holiday, they called me right back and were at my house within an hour. They quickly diagnosed the problem and set about fixing it. The tech drained the water heater and went to retrieve the parts. Less than two hours later, our water heater was fixed, and they were cleaned up and out. The price was very reasonable and they were a pleasure to do business with.

Lamont (owner) was very friendly, courteous, neat and efficient. I had made an appointment the week before and he call as we had agreed when he was on his way over. He explained everything he was doing, which I really appreciate. He fixed the leak and installed the new faucet in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Lamont for any plumbing or heating problems.

Allen was prompt and fixed the problem .....an intuitive quy who explained the problem. I highly recommend him.

He was able to come out the same day, he called to let me know when he was on his way, He identified the problem,(the igniter) replaced it and cleaned the burner area(it hadn't been cleaned in several years). It took just over an hour. He was very professional.

Our phone call was responded to very quickly. Mr. Allen was here within about 1 hour. He assessed and fixed the problem quickly....no charge for parts. He was here more than half an hour.

Overall we were very happy with the work that has been done. They did overlook a problem with our HVAC system in the first visit, but corrected it at no additional cost on the 2nd visit when we had them come back to install an additional floor register in our kitchen (that additional register works great). Also on their 2nd visit, we had them adjust the water pressure down on our home (which went right back up after Lamont and his plumber Javier left our home). Their 3rd visit, at no charge, was to confirm the water pressure reducing valve (PRV) was bad, and the fourth time they came out was to replace the PRV. Aside from one misunderstanding with the owner Lamont Allen over the phone, they do good work, they are neat and professional when they come to our home, and their prices are reasonable and fair.

Lamont and his crew are excellent from every possible "customer service" aspect. We recently located to Reno and had no idea of quality service providers. Allen Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning will be our service provider from here on out based on the quality based service, professionalism and fair pricing. Lamont does business the " old fashion way"--calls to remind customers of their appointments, shows up as scheduled, performs the work thorouhly, explains in layman's terms what was done and what the results were. He does not try to sell unnecessary repairs or services that aren't warranted. He is a bright, skilled, knowledgable and hard working person who takes pride in his work and company.
