They did good service for us. He didn't completely solve the problem and let us know what he could do. We will have to seek another company to resolve the issue.

They came out and got the sediment out of the hot water heater, inspected the house, looked at my faucets, which weren’t leaking, and looked under the sink, which wasn’t leaking either. They were courteous and looked at everything. They told me what they wanted to do. They wanted to change valves on the water heater from what it is to a different type of valve, and that was going to be about $150. On one of my toilets, the handle for the water flow valve was broken off, and I was using a pair of pliers to turn the water on and off. Instead of replacing the handle, which was plastic, they would have had to change out the whole valve mechanism, which was about $240. I didn’t want to do that. I changed that myself, and it took me about 20 minutes even though I am not a plumber and I didn’t have the proper tools. I wasn’t disappointed with them, overall, but the pricing for some of the things that they wanted to do was high, I thought. I would possibly use them in the future.

The company was out to our home to perform the annual furnace service as part of our annual maintenance contract. We had no issues with the former technicians, but during our summer A/C service and now the furnace service, I was assigned a new technician...each of whom left me with the impression they were there as salesmen, not technicians. In this particular case, I was told the heat exchanger was cracked and our family was in danger of CO poisoning. The exchanger needed to be replaced for $2,800. For ONLY $3,700, I could get a new furnace and wouldn't have to wait a week for the part to arrive. The technician said he had to shut down the furnace and he did...leaving us with no heat with night-time temps dropping to the low 30s. He had me sign the paperwork showing what he found and I presume that documentation was submitted to the corporate office. I had a hunch I was getting fed a line of bull and made arrangements for two other heating/AC companies to confirm the prognosis. Both agreed the prices quoted were in line, but both also said the exchanger was fine and no repairs were necessary. We purchased a CO detector in case everyone was wrong. No detectable CO in the last three weeks. Now, I can just chalk this up to an individual technician trying to earn a holiday commission. The icing on the cake, however, was receiving THREE follow-up phone calls from the company since the tech's visit. Not once did they ask about the furnace or if we decided to replace the exchanger or buy a new furnace. Every single call was trying to sell us on another service the company offered. Unbelievable. The man who started the company had a great reputation and was then bought out by ARS. Unfortunately, he is no longer in the field and the company seems more interested in upselling than customer service.

The experience was okay. Brian arrived on time and was friendly (I had dealt with him before). However, YES will try to get you to sign for more work than you want done, i.e., their maintenance plan, replacing additional shut-off valves in other areas, replacing pop-up assemblies, etc. Their prices are just way too high for the work being done. Even with signing up for the 1-year maintenance plan ($145), I would still have to play $273 to install the faucet, and $196 for each shut-off valve. A friend installed the items for free, which saved me $739.
Description of Work: I was charged their usual $59 to do an estimate on how much it would cost to replace my kitchen faucet and the two shut-off valves. If I supplied the faucet, it would cost $303 to install and $218 for each shut-off valve for a total of $739.

I have used them several times over the years. I felt that they were honest. They had always performed the job well. At one time I felt they could’ve charged me more money but they didn’t. I had gotten a couple of other estimates and somebody had told me what was wrong with the air conditioner. It ended up not being true and those companies hadn’t even found out what the real problem was. I never even heard from one of the companies again. ARS–Nevada is reliable and they are always here when they say they are going to be here. If I have a problem in the future I would most likely call them again.

We narrowed are choice to 3 different service providers for bids on the project. One ultimately withdrew (the low bidder)....really didn't want to get a required building permit or to install the units with the required size service line sets. The other's final bid was nearly 40% over the mid-range bid. The salesman was new to the program with all the usual promises or "guarantees". Make sure you have a detailed proposal setting out each detail of the agreement. ARS was very in tune with doing a detailed proposal when requested to do so. The install crew was very professional but did fail to cover the stairs or wood floor accessing the install area upstairs. The ceiling was removed or damaged in several spots. All were adequately repaired and refinished in a very timely manner by a professional group of drywallers. Overall the project was done well. This is a major expenditure and it pays to take bids, ask all the right questions and make sure everything is done according to the install specs. and promises from the installing company. The only downside was an office install coordinator who was still in the "learning phase" and didn't always handle issues or call backs in as timely a manner as they could have been. We were very happy overall with the group from ARS Residential Services LLC doing business as ARS/Rescue Rooter.
Description of Work: ARS installed two new 16 Seer Amana A/C-Heat units and removed 23 year old Borg-Warner units. This was a difficult installation of a split system with the compressors outside and the heating units/coil/air handlers located in the attic. Two new Dynamic electrostatic air filter systems were also installed in the air returns.

Yes! Air Conditioning came out nine times to repair my air conditioning unit. I finally got sick of having to call them to come back out and called another company to come out. The other company came out and got the air conditioner repaired in five minutes. Fortunately Yes! Air Conditioning did not charge me for more than the first visit, but it was ridiculous to have to call them out as many times as I did. The people who came out were very nice, however they were in training and they freely admitted that they did not know what they were doing. I hate to rate them an F because they were really really nice guys, but they were clueless. They were very professional as far as the way that they presented themselves, the way that they talked, they were very nice, polite, and they looked great, but they had no idea what they were doing.

I work at home and was busy on conference calls when the first tech arrived. I broke away from my meeting and showed the tech the inside and outside HVAC units and to contact me with his initial findings. The tech instead contacted my 12 year old son who was home with me and then contacted my wife via cell phone and presented the first estimate of $8900. My wife immediately contacted me and I again broke away from my meeting. I confronted the tech with the $8900 estimate and he started back peddling from his requirement that we change out the entire inside and outside HVAC system. In further questioning he settled that the inside HVAC blower motor was defective and needed to be replaced at an estimate of $740. I asked why the price was so high and the tech said "I have to travel to get the part". I asked if the AC motor turned and he said "I don't know". I then reached into the inside HVAC blower housing and found the motor spinning freely. Knowing simple AC motor theory myself, I instructed the tech to check the start capacitor. He did and immediately found that it was defective. I told him to change the capacitor and if that did not fix the unit, to call me ASAP. I then went back to my meeting. About 15 minutes went by, having heard nothing from the tech. My meeting ended and I went to inspect his work. I found that he had changed both the capacitor and the motor without my authorization. When asked why, he said "I decided to do what I wanted to do the first time, and I told your son what I was doing". WOW! Suddenly the replacement motor was found on the truck and my 12 year old son is the authorizing entity. WOW (again)! I told the tech that I was not paying for his parts or labor 'till he clearly demonstrated to me that the old motor was bad. He refused to do so and became angry to include the use of profanity. I left the area and called his company and demanded that he be removed from my property immediately. The company agreed to this request and to send out a different tech. Within 30 minutes the new tech was on premise and quickly determined that the only fault in our HVAC system was a faulty capacitor. He finished his work, I paid and thanked him for the effort. My last question to the second tech was "are you on commission to up-sell". He said "no". Frankly, it is clear to me that this company is "dishonest in practice" and that their techs are "company trained" to up-sell services and equipment that customers do not need. I suggest that you avoid this company for any and all Plumbing or HVAC work.
Description of Work: One of five HVAC units on our property (all covered by the Yes Maintenance plan) was not blowing air. The first tech did not have our maintenance contract info on arrival and immediately started an upsell with the first price of repairs at $8900.00.

The only good part of this experience is that Yes does not charge for estimates. Unlike most other plumbing company's in the valley.
Description of Work: On 7/29 an estimate from Yes plumbing was made for the removal and install of a kitchen sink. This was a simple removal and replacement of a same size sink and faucet with all parts being provided by the customer. The estimate was $754.00. I informed the Yes employee that I had a previous estimate of less than half of that amount from Lowes. He informed me that Yes was a professional service and provided a guarantee for all their work. I would estimate that it should have taken no longer than three hours to complete the job and paying $250 per hour was a little steep even for plumbing. Needless to say Yes plumbing will not be doing any work for me unless they want start giving resonable estimates.

Our air conditioning went out on a Sat and they agreed to come out and showed up on time - that was the good news. The bad news was that the motor had gone out and they wanted $450 to replace it even though it was under warranty and they were the one's that installed our system in 2006. We were told that the cost of the motor was covered and would be replaced for free but that they charged $150 per hour with a 3 hour minimum for the labor. It was 95 degrees in our house and we had no choice but to pay it since we have pets to protect from the heat. When we argued about the price they agreed to knock off $50 and do maintenance on the air conditioning unit for free.

I had just moved into my mother's house after she passed away and was in the process of renovating it. The upstairs unit was not working. It was winter and no hot air was blowing. I called the company my mother had used in the past and they informed me that they were now Yes. I explained the problem and they responded promptly. An estimator came out and looked at the unit. He said the upstairs unit had gone out and it needed to be replaced (both the outside and inside units). He quoted a rate and when I indicated I wanted to do some price comparisons he said that his company had bought out most of the independant companies in Las Vegas so I would not have much choice. I asked for a discount and was given 10% off. I decided to let Yes do the work since they gave me the discount. When the 2 people came out to replace the units, they began to remove the inside unit and, when freon started leaking, they realized the unit was working. They stopped their work and refused to give me any explanation for why this could have happened. They contacted the estimator who came back out. He could not give a good explanation for why he thought that unit was not working (other than my telling him it wasn't) and said he confused it with the downstairs unit (they are side by side). He now realized a tripped fuse was the problem with the upstairs unit and it was working fine. However, the downstairs unit was the one that actually needed to be replaced. Even though the heat downstairs was working, he explained that there is a system in the unit that allows hot air to flow temporarily even though the unit is going out (I did confirm this with other companies later). Because I had noticed the a/c not working well in the past summer I decided that this was probably true. I made the decision to go ahead and let them replace the downstairs unit. However, the entire process was a comedy of errors and totally unprofessional. I will always have a nagging feeling that I paid to have a working unit replaced, that I was taken advantage of, lied to, and overcharged. In addition, they had to tear out the existing custom wood doors and trim that covered both inside units. They told me they would have a carpenter come out and replace those exactly as they had been. When he came out weeks later he said that was not possible and he replaced them with metal panels. Although he did a good job I am not happy about losing the woodwork. Overall, this was a terrible experience and, as a single woman who had just lost her mother and had taken on alot of responsibility, it caught me at a time when I was very vulnerable and I believe they took advantage of that.
Description of Work: Downstairs unit was replaced (both outside and inside units) - outside unit is a Trane.

The technician who explained the problem with my current AC also explained options for replacing it. He was professional, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. There was no pushiness to complete a sale. I was particularly impressed by how knowledgeable he was about issues like potential financing options and sale price negotiations, even though he was a technician, not a sales representative. The install began the very next day. ARS called ahead to let me know they were on the way. The installers arrived on time. They ran into some unanticipated problems, but they promptly arranged resolutions. When it became apparent a different heater unit than originally ordered was needed, they ordered it and installed it as soon as it came in, substituting another unit on a temporary basis to permit the AC system to be used in the interim. This temporary unit took a couple hours to install but they didn't hesitate to install it to allow immediate use of the AC. This commitment to customer satisfaction impressed me very much. The installers were very customer-focused at all times, very courteous and helpful, and very apologetic for the delays that were not their fault. ARS offered me a free air filtration system, which they said was normally priced at more than $700, as a way of compensating me for the inconveniences I experienced due to the delays with the install. This, too, impressed me.
Description of Work: ARS replaced my air conditioning and heating units. My existing AC compressor was testing in a way that suggested it could fail soon once high temperatures arrived, and I was also interested in getting a more efficient, economical system to replace my 10 SEER system that was installed in 1997.

When I discovered that my water heater was broken, I was 300 miles away and had to make arrangements over the phone to have it replaced. I was referred to ARS Plumbing by the restoration company and what a mistake that was. Dealing long distance made it difficult for me and unfortunately, I relied on the information the company gave me and I ended up with a water heater that was not only over priced but from what my other contractors tell me much too big for the job it needed to do. It took at least 6 phone calls, a fax, and at least 2 weeks to even have the heater installed. When I finally saw the work they did, it was not up to the standards I would have expected, considering the price I paid. The pan underneath is bent and they put it on the damaged dry wall. Their advice should have been to wait until the dry wall was fixed to have in installed but chose to do it anyway. Then, when my contractors had to remove it to replace the damaged closet it was in, I had to call ARS back to fix a "frozen" valve that should have been fixed during the original work. That cost me another $495.00 for a two minute fix!!! I feel totally taken advantage of.

We got a postcard in the mail saying that it's good to have your air conditioning systems serviced once a year to keep them running smoothly so I made an appointment. They came out and looked at our two units. It was really hot out that day so I held an umbrella for them so I could watch what they were doing. The only thing he did was take a vacuum cleaner to the outside where it sucks in the air. He got the dust out and then told me how many volts the air conditioner was pulling. That's all they did and they charged me about $150. I asked if they needed to oil the system and he said no, those parts are internal and if they go out you just have to replace the unit. I felt like what they did was useless. I told them I felt like they were taking my money and the technician told me he could say something was wrong and charge me more if I wanted him to. No thank you. I then talked to another air conditioning technician who said you can't take the unit apart and that the ball bearings are pre-oiled. He said that yearly cleaning isn't going to do anything to make a residential unit last longer; you just have to make sure there is nothing on the outside of the unit preventing air from getting in.

The snake would not go through the drain and it was apparently clogged. The technician told us and wrote in our report that he was going to see if our insurance company would approve a camera so that he could see what was causing the blockage. When I contacted him the next day, he said MY INSURANCE COMPANY decided that it was a broken pipe and would not approve it. Once I contacted the insurance company I found out the technician lied to them and HE told them the pipe was broken. He even gave them a quote as to how much it would cost to fix the so called "broken" pipe. Remind you, nothing of this was mentioned to me when he was at my house. The pipe was not broken as we had dug right down to the pipe both out front and out back and there was no water whatsoever as there would be if the pipe was broken. I tried calling the technician back but could only leave a message and I asked him why he lied to the insurance company, but he never returned my phone call. I called the company and they said he meant to put the pipe was broken on my diagnosis report. He CLEARLY put there was a blockage and he needed a camera to check it out. Even when I read the diagnosis report to the company, they still insisted he meant to put the pipe was broken. We in turn, got our own snake and snaked through the blockage and my drains are now fixed. The company tried to make money off of both my insurance company and us. They are in it for the money, not to help the customer.

I asked them for a quote over the phone and they wouldn't give that to me. They had to send out an estimator. It was a simple job that I needed done, I needed two toilets put back on and a sink reconnected. He came out and quoted me 950 dollars. I felt like I was in a car lot, trying to pressure me to try to buy toilets, and other new parts. I decided to learn to do it myself. They still charged me 26 dollars for the estimate. Afterwards, I read the reviews on Angie's List and they were all quoted rather expensive prices for similar jobs. When I did it myself, the parts cost me 26 dollars from Home Depot and took about 2 hours of my time.

Worst experience ever. This company purchased the company that actually installed our gas line. The company merger happened to take place during the install. Yes! Air Conditioning refused to honor the 100% satisfaction guarantee of the acquired company. This made very little sense as the technicians never changed and the other company sill operates under the former name. In any event, the gas pipe installed had approximately 8+ leaks. After 2 months of trying to get them to return my calls and fix the problem, I finally hired someone else. Yes! had installed plumbing lines to run gas, did not wrap the pipe, and had no clue what they were doing. Half of the joints were wrapped in tape with no welding. I would avoid this company at all cost.

I have always had an excellent experience with them. They come out very quickly and their technicians are professional. I haven't had any trouble with any of their work and I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They installed 2 new toilets. They have also installed a new sink. I am having them back out to install a hot water heater as well.

I was scheduled between 12-2. I received a call at 11:40 a.m. saying the plumber was ready to do the job. He arrived at 12:00 looked over the situation, brought in the appropriate tools and cleared up the stoppage. He then examined the stopper in the sink, removed the parts and determined that the linkage was broke and needed replacement, he did this. He was very professional. He could have cleaned up better.
Description of Work: Cleared up stoppage in master bath in both the sink and the bathtub. Also replaced the linkage to open and close the stopper in the sink.

I called on Friday the 15th of August and they showed up Friday around 7pm on the same day. They found where the problem was and fixed it (it was a bad fuse). They are not the cheapest place in town. I called someone else back in July and paid 163.00 for the same fix. I was okay with paying the extra because they came out quickly and fixed the problem.
Description of Work: They fixed my a/c.

It went well because they did what I expected them to. They were on time, polite, and courteous. They wore booties over their shoes when they came in. He told me how much it would cost and that's what I paid.
Description of Work: They had to add a little over a pound of Freon to two air conditioners.

We have a home warranty that covers most of the things in my home. I thought they had fixed the faucet on the bathroom sink and when my tenant alerted me that it wasn't fixed. I was not happy with the work, because it leaked again, and it ended up costing me an additional $55.00.
Description of Work: He came out and fixed a leak in one of my rentals bathroom faucets.
