Description of Work: We have the annual service contract with Sahara and asked them to replace a fan on one of our units. Our technician completed the work on time and at the agreed upon price. We were given a discount for the service since we have an annual contract. The discount essentially paid for the contract.

+ -1 moreThey took out the dirty furnace filters and did not replace them. I have no idea where to purchase new ones. Don't drive. When asking another handy man to please help, I was told the filters are odd and he didn't know where to get them.

In fact, one of the best estimates and interviews I have encountered in this town. Unecessary items for my system were addressed and duly noted. The technicians showed up on time, were very efficient and cleaned up after each day they were here. They also handled a very good wall and ceiling repair company, handled their contact and payment arrangements. All in all a very good experience. I would highly recommend Sahara for any Air Conditioning or Heating Service from repairs to installation of entire systems.

+ -1 moreMy furnace broke down in Navember, 2010. The temperature dipped own to 23 degrees at night. I called Shara Air Conditioning and Heating and they came out the next day. They first attempted to fix it but soon realized it needed to be replaced. The owner's son came out the next day and gave me prices. He was very knowledgeable of the products he offered. The workers were courteous and wore covers over their shoes. They were punctual and cleaned up after they completed the job.
Description of Work: I have been dealing with Sahara Air Conditioning and Heating for the past two years. Not every air conditioning and heating company services manufactured homes but Sahara did. They installed a new furnace and air conditioner in 2010. I had a one year warranty and purchased another year. 12/15/2012 was the final seasonal service call since they no longer offer this plan to owners of manufactured homes. If I ever move into a house (other than a manufactured home) I would definitely use them again.

+ -1 more- I contacted Sahara Air Conditioning and spoke with a pleasant receptionist that was able to immediately schedule an appointment that same day - Chris--our service technician arrived in a marked company van, listened to details I provided explaining the a/c problem experienced and proceeded to systematically check the outside unit and unit (with blower) in the attic. He was more than happy to share results encountered; his approach to further isolate the problem; and his conclusions, based on tests performed. - Chris also confirmed that the defective parts were under warranty (only 4 years into its life) - Chris left, assuring us that he would return in 1 to 2 days, based on how soon he could get replacement parts from the manufacturer. - Before leaving, Chris had found a way for us to have the a/c operate, while by-passing the defective PC Board--What a relief!!! - Two days later, Chris installed the replacement parts and our a/c unit reliably cooled our home through the balance of the summer.
Description of Work: Quality of Life here in Las Vegas during August and September depends on reliable home air conditioning. Unfortunately, one of our two air conditioning units in late August stopped producing cool air. After a bad experience using a "big box" store service provider, I shortly afterwards contacted Sahara Air Conditioning and had a very positive experience from beginning to end. While I paid another $79 for a 2nd diagnosis it was money well spent. Chris--the service technician followed a systematic approach in assessing the problem and was very comfortable in explaining the steps taken, results found and approach taken to validate his conclusions. He further had a solution to by-pass the problem, allowing our family to still enjoy cool air from our defective system, while he placed an order for a new fan motor and system printed circuit board that was not operating properly. Oh, and he confirmed with the manufacturer that the replacement parts were covered under warranty! Two days later, the defective parts were replaced and our only cost was for labor, that wasn't covered. THANK YOU SAHARA AIR!!!

I did not have to wait 10 days for them to come out like I did with Buenos Aires Air Conditioning & Heating, the company that put on my unit. Ante, the technician is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and extremely courteous. They have an excellant rating with the NV state contractor's board and the BBB. I will be doing all my business with them in the future and will refer them to everybody I know who needs AC work done and to anyone that needs a reliable, on time, professional, friendly and knowledgeable company. Description of Work: The condensate piece that is attached to the AC unit snapped. Ante, the technician also pointed out things that his company would have done differently than the horrible company I contracted with to install my AC unit. He also fixed a piece on the unit that was put on backwards. He noticed it was on backwards and put it on right :)

+ -1 moreSahara did a fantastic job for us. They did no damage to our regular shingled roof. They showed up with a crane to install our new system and acted very professionally. When they came out to give us an estimate, they even advised that we go with a less costly model than we were planning on purchasing because they said it would be a waste of our money. We wound up going with the cheaper model based on their advice and then we were charged only for the labor through them. We were very happy with this company. We would highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Sahara took out my old air conditioning unit and furnace. They put in a new air conditioner and furnace this time last year. The new system was put on the roof of our 3000 square foot home.

I called my home insurance and they sent Sahara Air Conditioning right out to check the problem. The system had to be replaced and they took care of everything. Two men removed the old system and installed the new system in one full day. We are very pleased, as everything has been great since. With the home insurance and the warranty on the old one we did not have to pay anything.
Description of Work: In one day, two service men from Sahara Air Conditioning removed my old system and replaced it with a new one.
