Description of Work: Roger is great and I recommend him. Had a leaks at the auto fill connection, pressure valve and also completed a system pressure test. He preformed the work himself and coworker. My husband was working very long hours and left the responsibility to me. Roger walked me through the start up process and tips of taking care of it. The tips have helped me keeping my pool balanced. Thank you Roger!!!!

Description of Work: Requested an evaluation of my inground spa that had not been operated (for ~3-5 years) since we purchased the house 3 years ago. Used the Angie's coupon for the first 30 minutes of evaluation & paid for an additional hour. When all done, the quote I received to get the spa operational and/or reconditioned was ~$10,000 - $14,000. |Was also told: |1. needed to replace both pump motors |2. needed to disconnect plumbed water fill system as there is no anti-siphon or back-flow connector |3. need to replace spa control button that turns on pumps/blower |4. need to replace the control board on the heater |5. need to replace both diverter valves |6. need to replace cartridge filter tank |7. need to replace all tile |8. need to be re-surfaced | |With this information I went to NPS Pool Supply, and with their FREE counselling took the following actions: |1. needed to replace both pump motors- purchased 2 seal rebuild kits that NPS installed for free |2. needed to disconnect plumbed water fill system as there is no anti-siphon or back-flow connector-confirmed that the current plumbing is correct with both and meets code, no need to disconnect or replace. |3. need to replace spa control button that turns on pumps/blower- purchased "Zero Pool/Spa Lube" and lubricated the switch; no need to replace |4. need to replace the control board on the heater- confirmed the heater is working correctly; no need to replace |5. need to replace both diverter valves- purchased 2 new valves & only swapped out the insides vs replaceing the complete valve. |6. need to replace cartridge filter tank- no issue with tank, purchased only a new cartridge |7. need to replace all tile- no functional issue, aesthetics only |8. need to be re-surfaced- no functional issue at this time, will need it sometime in the distant future, aesthetics only for now | |Total investment to replace these parts to bring up spa: $580 vs quote of ~10k-$14K | |I felt that I was being taken advantage of with this type of a quote. Most surprised that: (a) the plumbing was very obvious that it had the correct parts already & told it was wrong (b) no suggestions of rebuilding motors vs replace (c) no suggestion of using the Zero Lube vs replace switch. | |Very disappointed. Would not recommend. |

Description of Work: HE charged $80.00 for service call, $80.00 a Pump & Weir Valve that I paid for my self, $149.00 a Paramont 6-port 2' 8 unit base, and $14.00 tax for a total of $ 323.00. I think I was over-charged $80.00.
