Mountain View Pest Control

Called Mountain View Pest and Pigeon Control on Tuesday, 07 May 2011 and set up an appointment for an inspection on Wednesday, 09 May. Alan came out on that day and told me what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the work and price. We signed a contract and he advised me he would call on Monday, 16 May to set up a time to do the work. On Monday, 16 May, he called in the morning and asked if he could do the work that day. I say, "Yes." He came out that afternoon at the agreed upon time and did the work. The work and price was as previously agreed upon.

It was painless and they did the job well.

We needed to have plumbing work done underneath but the plumbing company required a certificate of fumigation so I called Alan at Mt. Vista Pest Control. David showed up to house, was very polite and professional and performed needed spraying and fumigation. Very satisfied with the work he did. Cost of services was as stated.

They did a great job. They came and gave us an estimate and they were right on estimate when they were done. They power washed the roof. They took netting, chicken and spikes in the problem area where we had pigeons. They cleaned it up really well.

Allan is a super nice guy who takes the time to do it right. He sprays all the spots bugs hang out like the sprinkler valve boxes. From time to time we still see a few bugs - dead bugs outside our house, just as it should be. Happy to not see them inside anymore.

Called Mountain View a week or so ago and asked them to come out to take a look at our pigeon nesting problem on the roof. Allen (owner) told me he could certainly take care of the problem, but it would be at least a week before he could come out and estimate the job. I told him that would be OK and he called a little over a week later and set a time for the estimate on Wed, March 9th. He showed up on time, took a look at the 2 areas on the roof that were a problem and told us he could remove any nests, powerwash the area and screen both areas for $225.00. We agreed to the price and he came out on March 10th to do the job. Allen showed up on time and all the work was done in a professional and timely manner. Total time to do the actual job was about 1 hour.

The exterminator arrived about 3 hours after my initial phone call to diagnose my situation. During some cable installation, an excessive amount of rat droppings were found in the attic crawl space where the cables were run. I wanted to ensure no rats would attack the new cabling. The gentleman explained that tree rats are common in my neighborhood so the important thing was to eliminate all possible entries into the house---and that tree rats usually only visit houses and actually live in trees). He then crawled all throughout the crawlspace (a cramped, dark but expansive area covered with beams and insulation....and rat droppings!) looking for fresh evidence and holes to the outdoors. He determined the droppings were old and he did not find any holes to the outdoors. I was happy to find we didn't have a current problem....and was thrilled to have someone else investigate a portion of our house that my husband and I never would!! The guy also gave good suggestions for examining the outer portion of the house to prevent future unwanted "visitors."

My conversations with the owner, Alan, were very pleasant. Dave arrived on time for both the estimate, and to do the work. Dave is a lovely man that did a beautiful job. I got exactly what I was looking to do done. I would recommend them to anyone that has the pigeon problem I did.

Very well. Mountain View Pest Control gave me an estimate and a scope of work, finished on time and on estimate. In fact, they threw in some extra spikes that we hadn't originally anticipated needing. The owner was very courteous, forthright, and knowledgeable. It's been several months since the work was done and the number of pigeons on my roof has gone from dozens to zero!

Wonderful! I had used another exterminator four years ago before becoming a member of Angie's List and now I always search here first for any needs I have. Mountain View was wonderful and will be my first line of defense for any future piegon conventions!

As I was in the throes of grief, my friend originally called Mountain View Pest Control to help me with a bad and growing ant problem. She told me Allen would call me the next day with a service time. Long story short, I didn't check my phone messages and Allen came out early (as his message said he would). I had a house full of out of town visitors who were still asleep after a long travel and funeral service. As he needed to spray inside, Allen graciously rescheduled, coming out again within an hour of my calling to reschedule. Not only did he come out twice, he gave me the best deal possible--what a wonderful person! As far as the ants...they were gone within a couple of days and are still not back.

When they first came out I was pleased with what they where telling me. So I went ahead with the service. When he was done he knoked on the door and when I opened the door there was bird poop everywhere in my rocks. I asked what was going to happen with the poop and he said that it would blow away in a month. Well he lied my front yard is still covered in bird poop (two months later) and when it gets wet it smells. Been trying to get it out of my rocks but it is amost impossable. My roof looks great but my front yard looks like poop. The day after the original posting of this comment MTN VIEW PEST & PIGEON CONTROL came to my house and apologized. They said that they wished I have called before posting this comment so that they could have remedied the problem. But my 5 month pregnant wife took it upon herself to clean it the other morning by herself. Hence the reason I was so upset? Thank you for your apology MTN VIEW PEST & PIGEON CONTROL and I will be using there sevices in the future!!!!!

This experience was very pleasant and painless and the gentleman who came to perform was very professional.Alan told me they would be here between 11-12pm and the guy showed up 5 minutes before 11am and let me say I am impressed.Keep up the good work Mountain View Pest Control Team!!!

We had a pretty bad ant problem throughout the house but particularly in the kitchen. I called Alan on Wednesday and he came the next day. He was particularly helpful in explaining how the spraying worked, reassuring me that it wasn't (too) toxic, FDA approved,etc.. This is important to us because we are concerned about toxins. He sprayed in our kitchen and told us to leave it for several days (not to prepare food in it), and within a few days we noticed a dramatic decline in the ants. They seemed to come back a few days later, and I called Alan who arranged to have someone come the next day. However, that morning the ants were totally gone so we canceled (the spray can continue working for days if you don't wash it off). We took advantage of the coupon they've posted here on Angie's list, which gets the initial visit for $50, the follow-up for $50, and a third follow-up for free. Overall we were very satisfied with the price, the service, and the speed with which they took care of us. Alan was also professional, helpful, and very nice.

We just really like their work. We will keep using them and we recommend them to a lot of our friends.

He was doing my neighbor's house so I talked to him in person about pricing and the work. The price was around $50 every other month. I'm not sure if I will use them but I may call them. The price is steep. I didn't have much of an experience but my neighbor has used him for a couple of years. He was very pleasant and answered just about every question that I had. I am still thinking about if I want to spend $50 every other month but I think I may do it.

I called the company this morning and they were able to come out a few hours later. All I needed was for normal pest control for a new house. The rep that came out was really professional and courteous. He listened to all of my concerns and told me where he would be spraying and also be putting down some powder as a preventative measure. There were no hidden costs at the end. The price I was quoted on the phone is what I was charged. This was definitely a great experience and I will be using their services again!!!

Alan was great to work with. I called Tuesday morning and he was able to come out that same day. He was running late for the appointment and called to let us know. Since it was later than expected, we had to run an errand and he was gracious enough to wait for us when he arrived at the house a few minutes before we did. He was very courteous and did a good job. I would highly recommend him especially with the current Angie's List offer he has.

The company was over right away the next morning after there were pigeons in the cages. They answered any questions I had about pigeon control. I'm very pleased with them.

I called and made an appointment for them to come out for the estimate. They were a little late showing up, but they had warned me in advance that the exact time would depend on how their prior appointments went. All the work was performed in a timely manner. Because of the size of the project, it took them two days to complete the work. Again, this was anticipagted and did not cause any hardships. The installation of the pigeon control devices was done professionaly and they did a fantastic job of cleaning up the mess when they were finished.

I called them and they showed up next day! Answered phone every time I called them and even showed up a little early. Service was done quickly and professionally. Will gladly have them back to my home for my periodic pest control needs.

I called them Saturday at 11 AM and they came that very same day and arrived 30 minutes early, at 3:30PM. They were very friendly and professional and I signed up for their $50 every other month service where they spray the outside and around my home.

Alan was very pleasant. He arrived a few minutes late for the estimate, was apologetic, gave a reasonable price quote and arranged to be back in two days. Luckily he came the very next day with Chris. They did a very thorough job of removing droppings, power washing, fencing off nesting area and installing spikes. Job well done at very reasonable price. We definitely recommend this service provider!
