+ -1 moreTheir demeanor was professional, but I was sorely dissappointed in that I paid for a deep clean and did not get what I asked for. I am also dissappointed because Marvella seemed very friendly and SO wanted this to work out so I could give them my on-going business. Now, I have to find someone else. Update: Marvella did offer to come redo the window and fix my blinds.
Description of Work: I had asked for an estimate to do a deep clean that included all inside window sills, blinds, wiping down baseboards, counter tops, mirrors, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping and the inside of the refrigerator. For the estimate, Marvella was 30 minutes late. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Day of cleaning, she and her helper were 20 minutes late. They did a VERY good job cleaning my stovetop, refrigerator, bathrooms, mirrors and floors. They did not wipe down the baseboards, at all. My kitchen blinds are RUINED from getting to carried away cleaning them, and the kitchen window looks like it was squirted with cleaner and then never wiped down. The inside of all other windows also were NOT cleaned. Also, my bed was "mostly" made, but not completed. I paid for a DEEP clean and I was very very specific what I wanted when I asked for an estimate. I thought $280 was very reasonable for a 2360 square foot home. But I am so dissappointed that I paid her before they were done and left. Had I stayed and seen what they did NOT complete, I would have not paid the full price. She quoted me $135 for bi-weekly cleanings in the future, for up-keep. . . .which I will not be doing. I am so dissappointed because I read reviews here on Angie's list and Marvella sounded like she was the best.

They did an excellent job of cleaning the floors, counter tops, sinks, bathroom, etc.... Much better than I had hoped for. I will definitely use them again, on a regular basis.

+ -1 moreI had Marvella first do a major cleaning of my house and then used her services to clean every three weeks after that. It has been about three months and I am very happy with Marvella and Marco. I like that they both come - it gets the job done faster. M & M always come with sunny attitudes and work thoroughly to do their best work each time. (They always ask before the end to make sure I look around to see if they could do anything further). Use them - you won't regret it.
Description of Work: Marvella and Marco cleaned my whole house, with the exception of closets. (That's good so that you could shove everything in it if you need to while they clean).

+ -1 moreThey arrived on time as a team of two. They got right to work at opposite ends of the house. They did an in depth and excellent job on each room that they cleaned. We required a bit more time than we had paid for but we worked it out to our satisfaction. Marco and Marvella are both very hard workers. We are very happy with their performance on our house and will use them again
Description of Work: Very detailed housecleaning including removing cobwebs from high ceiling and cleaning fan blades. The cleaning was excellent and they knew what needed to be done without me having to list anything out for them. We will definitely be using this service again!!

+ -1 moreI have used Marvella and her husband, Marco, 4-5 times so far and I will continue to use them for my bi-monthly cleaning. The first time they came, they did an extensive cleaning, hitting every surface imaginable. They charge more for this service but it's well worth it. Since then, I have had them come every 2 weeks for general cleaning and up-keep. For this, they charge less. I have been extremely happy with there work. They show up on time, never cancel, and work quickly and efficiently. I have 7 cats and 1 dog and my house gets very "hairy", very quickly. But when they finish, there isn't a signal sign of one furry creature. I have them clean the same each visit but if I have an extra "something" that needs to be done, they are more than happy to do it. They only charge extra if it's something that takes a lot of time. They both have wonderful attitudes--they're pleasant, friendly and very concerned about doing a great job. It's hard to find a good housekeeper and I'm relieved to have found Marvel Cleaning Service. I highly recommend them!

I had only ask for two hours of service. They checked to be sure I accepted the cleaning supplies used. They worked efficiently, taking great care with my home. I will set up something regualarly with them. I recommend them to anyone who needs service.

I would certainly avail of their services in the future and highly recommend them. They are upfront and reasonable with the cost of services performed. They are also flexible with services offered.
Description of Work: The service was for a complete 2800 sq ft. home detailing which included: Vacuuming all of the carpeted area, mopping all of the ceramic tile areas (Kitchen, bathrooms, entry way and breakfast nook) and cleaning all of the baseboards Kitchen cabinets, counter tops and appliances were thoroughly cleaned. The furniture and decorations were dusted and wiped down.

+ 0 moreMarvel has been my house cleaning service since October 2011. They were recommended by friends of mine who are VERY discriminating about any home services! We have a spacious home with lots of hardwood flooring, tile, custom appliances, a lot of woodwork and big windows; beautiful and upkeep intensive. I had a broken wrist last fall and couldn't do the cleaning myself, so I called Marvel. They were very professional in setting an appointment, prompt and knowledgeable. Marvel Cleaning has experience in maintaining appliance showrooms and government office buildings, and this level of professionalism shows. My tile floors were steam cleaned, the hardwood floors carefully buffed and the woodwork on the big doors and cabinets polished, along with the usual cleaning. Careful attention was given to the cleaners and tools used, which helps to protect our things. I pay a basic rate and then a bit extra for jobs such as cleaning out the refrigerator. My home is more of a pleasure to live in, because it stays so clean and beautiful. I enthusiastically recommend Marvel Cleaning!!

+ -1 moreMarvella is terrific! The first time she cleaned for us was before a holiday party, and without much notice. The house was in dire need of a deep cleaning, but I really didn't expect more than the standard necessities done on that visit. Well, Marvella (working alone) stayed until she was satisfied with the cleaning, and believe me, her standards are high. We've tried several cleaning services over the last 4 years, with so-so to horrible results (mostly franchises), so we've come to expect little. However, the degree of professionalism & skill, combined with a strong work ethic and personality to spare that Marvella brings to the job are a breath of fresh air (literally & figuratively). The next time, Marvella's husband Marco worked with her. He helped me take down our Christmas tree & moved some heavy pieces of furniture while Marvella washed several days' worth of dishes that had piled up while I was sick.... by hand, bless her! They work well together and accomplished a lot. They've cleaned our house 3 times now, and she always seems to find things I haven't noticed. The price is more than right, and I highly recommend Marvella & Marco to anyone who wants friendly, conscientious service that exceeds expectations!

They always arrive on time (or early), never miss a day, always have a wonderful attitude. They are meticulous in their work, respect our belongings and are very careful with expensive antiques. Marvella started with us in November 2011, and she comes every 2 weeks. She was so good I couldn't believe it would continue....... if anything she is better now! Of course she knows us by now and knows where everything is and she and her partner just go about their business in a very professional manner. We trust them completely, and recommend them most highly. Don't know what we'd do without them!
Description of Work: Marvella of Marvel Cleaning Services is MARVELOUS!! She and her partner always arrive a few minutes early, and do a fantastic job. Our house has never been so clean. Our granite countertop sparkles like new (it's 15 years old), our wood floors shine, everything sparkles! It's a real treat to come home after Marvella has been here. She even wipes down the outside of our cupboards, cleans the glass on patio doors, and washes the kitchen window EVERY TIME. WOW.

+ 0 moreMarvella has been cleaning our condo bi-weekly for the last several months and she is VERY good. I started out using her sister Alma's House Cleaning and Marvella was part of the team. Now she has branched off with her own company and we're delighted with her work. She's a hard worker, sees things that need to be done and does them extremely thoroughly and she understands that there are routine things to be done every time, but other things that must be done occasionally. We let our last person go because she only did the routine and was out in a flash and the deep cleaning never got done. Marvella knows what has to be done and makes sure it gets scheduled.
Description of Work: Cleaning a condo (lr, kit, dining rm., 2 bedrooms, 1 bath) with large picture windows all across one side of the condo. She straightens, dusts, and vacuums all rooms each time, washes sheets and towels and changes beds, cleans bathroom and kitchen thoroughly, advises on cleaning products and equipment. Does in-depth cleaning of various parts of the house (e.g., getting lime residue off tile, cleaning baseboards) periodically as needed.
