Replaced rollers, security locking mechanism, cleaned tracks; door is like new. Technicians were prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely use this company again for window and door service.

Everything was great! We got everything taken care of that we needed and added a few other items on. The only problem is that all of a sudden the front door won't lock (probably due to the heat), but they are coming back out to fix it.

NO CALL NO SHOW Don't waste your time

The company was prompt in responding. Due to some personal issues, I had problems with meeting them for the appointments I made. In fact, I was really embarrassed. John Marland was extremely understanding and super professional about the entire experience. In fact, the entire job he did was wonderful. The only problem we had is that our old house needed some different pieces to secure the window in place, so John ordered them and then said he could come back at any time (knowing that I am so bad with appointments right now) and finish the job. I don't know about all that Hybar does, but I do know that John is an amazing and professional worker and I wasvery lucky to have been set up with him for this job. Thank you, Hybar!

The young man arrived in a timely manner. I didn't feel well that day so I let my sister handle the first visit. Later she told me that the young man was most friendly and very professional. Sorry we are older and can't remember the young man's name. He came back a week later with a piece of glass and installed it. I certainly liked him. Unfortunately, he had miss measured the glass. He left the new glass in and said he'd come back. He was most apologetic but he did manage to save us from a huge fine from our HOA. He retuned with the final glass piece, installed it quickly, and it's been perfect. I'm certain that my insurance company would fire someone if they found out that they overestimated the cost to replace that glass by about $600. Thank you Angie's list for posting that big deal and thank you Hybar-windows and doors for saving us a bundle! We had been threatened buy the HOA for a thousand dollar fine and you both saved us. We remain devoted to Angie's list. About the miss measurement, things happen. We remain very happy.

It was really good. He was very thorough and he did a good job.

The Hy-Bar technician was prompt and very courteous on his arrival. He assessed my door and concluded that the door had aftermarket weather stripping and needed to be adjusted. He quickly removed the old weather stripping and replaced it with new weather stripping that fit properly. Not only did he replace it quickly but he had the experience in cutting it just right to fit the door frame. You could tell that he had a lot of experience doing this because his cuts and adjustments were done quickly with no hesitation. He also assessed that the door had been previously kicked in and that the repair job was not very precise in the installation of the door jamb. He made adjustments to accommodate the door lock and the door now opens and closed properly and no drafts exist any longer. Hy-Bar exceeded me expectation regarding the quality of the work and I will be using them again for future door and window issues I may encounter.

Everything, including scheduling and punctuality, were fine except he indicated there wasn’t anything he could do. I’m in the process of getting this Deal refunded.

The tech who came out told me that I need a new metal strip in order to fix the problems that I'm having with my front doors. He took measurements and a photo and said they'd get back to me with a price. It's been three weeks now, and I haven't heard a word from this company. So . . . instead of having my door fixed, it's just as bad as it was before the serviceman came out--and I'm out $95. A total waste of money.

Everything was done very well

In the process of replacing the window the workman broke a part of the window blind. We were assured that this would be corrected. Unfortunately, it took several phone calls to have this all corrected. The assistant manager that eventually took care of this was very professional and easy to work with.

The technician apologized for his company, in that they did not specify that they did not include "sweeps", the bottom door seals that are most likely to let in outside air, and are most likely to wear out. The man on the phone said that a garage door was included in the service, but it was not offered by the technician and I forgot to ask. (Duh.) I will not ask this company to replace the many doors and windows that I want to replace. I view the Angie's List Big Deals as an introduction to providers that want to impress me with a smaller job, looking for a bigger one. This company ain't it.

It went pretty well, but I think they broke my bubbler while installing the windows. Their price beat everyone else's. It did take a little while to get them in but they look great. They have to reorder one window, so I'm waiting on that last one. Mike was a really nice sales guy, but wasn't very helpful when it came to design opinions.

Also took out two windows and caulked small gaps between the connecting windows to stop draft. Cleaned up and hauled away their trash.

They replaced a broken window however they broke the valance for the blinds. They never came back out to fix it after they told me they would take care of it and they never have.

Service was scheduled quickly, crew was on time, very professional, very helpful, very polite. As they fixed the door, I saw that the insulation had come out at the bottom inside the frame. They evaluated situation, gave me a quote on cost to fix it (which I accepted), and will be returning soon to do those repairs. I would absolutely hire them again.

Patrick and his partner ( sorry didn't get your name) did an excellent job. they were very efficient, clean and thorough. explained to me everything they were doing in a way I could understand . knowing my windows and doors are sealed up tight is another thing off my worry list about my house and about wasting heat this winter. One guy came out and measured said it would be a few days It was 10 days before I called to follow up I have double pane windows and it was only the outside pane so it wasnt super urgent but It would have been nice if someone would have informed me.A really nice installer came out and was super friendly and explained what he was doing Good News My window got put in Bad News wrong color and I have to commend the installer as if he would not have mentioned it It might have been a few days before I caught it so integrity goes a long way with me I m still waiting for the right windows but they didn't charge me for the screen that didn't come with the house so all in all Id recommend them based on the integrity alone

This was a long-distance purchase via AL website. Merchant responded to all calls quickly. Delay in inspection and installation due to coordination with tenants in the property. Forewarned that tint would not match current tint on other windows; agreed to this small annoying detail. Tenants report work completed in professional manner and they have no complaints. Seems like a good value purchase 3rd hand for the work/product delivered.

The estimator was prompt and courteous. He gave us an estimated installation date of 9-22-14 to 9-30-2014 as the doors were a custom size. He also told us it could be a little longer as they have no control over Anderson. That was an understatement. The main issue I would say we had with Hy-Bar was lack of communication. I called at the end of September to see if the door was in and was told it would be in in mid-October. No one ever called me about the delay. No one called me in mid-October, so I called and was given an appointment. 5 minutes before the installers were due, I received a call that the door handle was not in and was on back order. I was skeptical, so was emailed the actual invoice, which showed the delay. I was told it was due in on Nov. 14 and that someone would call me. No one called, so I called on November 14. I was told that they had called Anderson and it was on the truck and would be delivered that day. I was told to expect a call at 11:30 to schedule installation. 11:30 came and went with no call, so at 1:00 I called Hy-Bar, and was a little annoyed. I finally received a call back, and the installation was scheduled for Nov. 17. All of that was the incredibly frustrating part. Most of it was not Hy-Bar's fault, but they need to improve on communicating with the consumer. Now for the excellent part: The installers were early, they worked all day, and we have a beautifully installed, lovely door. The installation is difficult as stucco has to be removed, the door has to be fit and then the trim has to be added and everything caulked. The existing door was not level, so there was a lot of work making sure the new one was level. The only issue was that the screen itself had a manufacturing defect. They gave me a choice of re-ordering it or re-screening it and I chose re-screening, so it should be in by the end of the week. That was written on 11/18. Today it is 12/12 and I still have no screen. They brought it back and hung it and it had a terrible re-screening job. The screen was baggy. I called right away, talked to Jordan at Hy Bar I suggested he order a new screen but he said that could take a week to get from Anderson. It has certainly taken us longer than a week to get this done! He came out and looked at it the week after Thanksgiving said it would be corrected. Someone one came to take care of it yesterday, December 11. He said he could not re-screen the door at our house and would have to take it in and re-screen it and would call me this morning, December 12. I have received no call. In the meantime, I called Jordan to tell him that we wanted to make sure that it was Anderson screening material and that the screen was perfect before they brought it out or order us a new window. He said he would call me back or email me yesterday or today. So far, it is 12:42 and I have not heard anything. Stay tuned.

I had all my windows and sliding glass doors replaced. They had to order them and the wait time was a little over a month. They kept me informed. Once they arrived the installation was scheduled. Troy (and his helper) were my installers and what a hard working pair. Of course it was extremely hot. They were on time and went right to work. They were here two and a half days. They covered the area they were working and kept the heat out as well as possible. When they finished the mess was completely cleaned up. These guys were really wonderful. Troy had them schedule a repair on the stucco around the sliders. You can not tell were the repair was done looks so good. I did not care for the threshold that was installed so Troy ordered a different one and when they came in he came out and replaced them to my satisfaction. I can not say enough good about Troy and Hy Bar windows they went way above and beyond what was required. Troy even called after the rain storms to make sure I had no leaks.

Ryan called the first time a couple of weeks ago and spoke to Mike about having some pocket doors removed and repairing or replacing two exterior doors. He scheduled an appointment promptly. When the appointment time passed and no one showed we were told that no appointment had been booked. I decided to give them another try about a week later. When I scheduled the appointment, I explained what we were looking for and was told a technician would come out to look at the exterior doors and windows for repair and that a sales rep would come out to look at the pocket doors to give me a quote to replace them. I asked if one person could do that and was told no, but that they would both be here at the same time. The technician called early that morning to say he was running late. (They had a 5 hour between 8 am and 1 pm window to work with). When he called, I said it wasn't a problem, I would be here all day and it was fine to come later and do the work. The technician got here at 3. The sales rep never showed up. I asked the technician and he repeatedly called the office to find out where Mike was but it even took four or more calls from him to get a response. Finally at 3:47 Mike Nagle calls to let me know he's not going to make an appointment that had already passed by 2 hours and wanted to reschedule until next week. The technician repaired one door, couldn't repair the other nor the window. The technician Patrick was very nice, courteous and professional. I told Patrick that I would call the office after he left and cancel the next appointment. I called the office and spoke to Mike Stevens and cancelled the appointment for Tuesday after explaining that this was a recurring theme. He couldn't get off the phone fast enough and just didn't seem to care. I rescheduled an appointment with someone else for today and I'm happy to say he showed up 15 minutes early. I'll review them after he's completed the work. Follow up: Someone called back from HyBar after I cancelled the third appointment to apologize and ask what they could do. I told him after two missed appointments with no calls ahead of time, it wouldn't be smart for me to wait for a third.

The service tech was out at my house for a total of 20 minutes. They charge a consultation fee of $95 which I found quite odd as most service companies will provide a free estimate. Upon looking at my doors the service tech informed me the doors were old and he would have to research and call me back with an estimate. TWO WEEKS go by and I don't hear a word. I just called explaining the situation, to which I was transferred to the service department. They said they would have someone call me back. What do you know, not two minutes later another gentleman calls me a spews out an estimate of $700 each door or "starting at $3000 for replacement". Now, am I not supposed to be suspicious that two weeks go by and nothing yet when I call I get a sky high estimate within minutes? Shady business practice in my mind. Not professional, poor communication. I'd like my $95 back at the least. Talk about robbery.

The quality of work was excellent, however, they did not keep us informed on when the windows will be in and when they will be installed. The communication was seriously lacking. I don't know if I would use them in the future. It was a good price, so I would use them again.

They're efficient, knowledgeable, and they come well prepared. Everybody that they've ever sent here knows exactly what they're doing. There is no thinking, it's just their second nature, that's how good they are.
