Description of Work: A crazy thing happened to me one day as I was cleaning out my garage. I instructed my neighbor to "dump that bag of salt into the water softener" only to discover that the bag was not full of salt but birdseed! I got a kitchen strainer and scooped what I could out of the softener bin. A week and a half later my daughter was brushing her teeth with bottled water because "the water smells like gym socks". The birdseed had fermented and the odor was disgusting. Having no prior experience with water softeners, I had no idea how to go about cleaning it or assessing any other damage. I jumped on Angies List and called American Water Treatment right away. They were so friendly and understanding and got a technician out within 3 hours. He was so courteous and nice and we traded many stories about the military while he scooped out the rotten birdseed and scraped the bin free of buildup. He explained to me how the system works and what to do in the future if another birdseed episode arises! I give 2 thumbs up for a job well done , promptly and at a very reasonable service price!

 + -1 moreI call them every year to replace filters and to bring me salt. When I call for service, they usually send someone over the next day. The person they send is always on time. They check my equipment, change the filters, add salt to my system and check the water quality.
Description of Work: They came to my house to replace three filters and brought 8 blocks of salt.

 + -1 moreJust moved into a new house with a water softener and reverse osmosis system, neither of which I've used before. Knowing that the property had been rented out for the last 10+ years, I called the company to do a service check on these 2 systems and to educate me on how to maintain them. Clinton came over to the house on time and diagnosed the exact problem with the water softener (in addition to having NO salt in it (and it is NOT a no salt system) it had a leak in the suctioning system) which he fixed by replacing the seals. He didn't try to sell me a new system or upgrades or anything, which I appreciated. He also got my reverse osmosis system up and running again after what I expect was years of neglect. The price reflects the cost of the seals and filters (majority), plus a reasonable service call fee.
Description of Work: Replaced seals in water softener and explained how the system worked. replaced reverse osmosis filters and o-rings in an otherwise nonfunctioning RO system, and explained how it worked,

 + -1 moreAfter leaving multiple messages with the company which installed my water filters and not getting any answer, I checked Angie's List. This company was the only one with current feedback, and it was all good. I called them and got a real person to talk to immediately. So nice not to have to leave a message and hope for a response. An appointment was made for the next day. Sean was prompt, polite, clean and professional. The work was excellent. I'm so glad to finally have someone to keep my system running well. I will definitely call them again when I need service.
Description of Work: He fixed a leak in the plumbing on the whole house filter unit in the garage. He replaced the two filters in the unit under the kitchen sink, and replaced the fawcett for the filtered water.

Description of Work: Called for a last minute appointment on Friday afternoon and was elated that they had a Saturday morning appointment available. Clinton (our technician) arrive promptly at 9am, and went right to work. He didn't try selling us another sytem or telling us our current system was not the best (a problem we've had with other companies), he took the time explaining everything he was doing and was very informative through the entire process. We had a great experience and will use them again in the future. We've already passed their information on to friends who are making an appointment for this weekend.

 + -1 moreI had just purchased a foreclosed property and had no idea what was wrong with the water softener. I looked at the RainSoft website and found their contact information. They worked around my schedule and worked out a service call. A few parts needed to replaced, but overall the system was in good working order. Clinton the technician was very informative he walked me through the whole operating process of the softener and he even dropped off a manual for it a few days after the work was done. The overall customer service was fantastic. There was also a water filtration system under the sink which was installed by them for the original owners he was able to give an estimate on the replacement and continued cost of that system. I presently use them for this service as well. This company really knows how to care of their customers!

 + -1 moreWe always receive a call several days in advance before the annual check up. They have never been late, and always display excellent behavior. The filtering system replacement did not take more than fifteen minutes. They left the area where the softener is located just as clean as when they arrived. They cost was included in the annual maintenance fee.
Description of Work: American Water Treatment replaced the filter system in our Rainsoft water softener, which they also installed. There is annual maintenance done to make sure it is running properly as well.
