All My Sons Moving & Storage Inc

It went quickly and seemed to be fine, but a week later we were able to unpack ( we had a delay due to contractors working in the new house) and found several furniture items were damaged. The movers stacked the night stands on top of each other with only plastic wrap on top of one to protect its top from the legs of the nightstand stacked on top. The plastic was not enough and it put deep scratches in one night stand. Two dressers were scratched as well. The plastic wrap was not done properly on them either. The dining room and kitchen tables were not wrapped, as I was told they would be, and then placed on end on a concrete garage floor. We requested they move items into the garage (due to contractors still working on the house), but I was told everything would be properly wrapped so I thought the garage would be fine. It was not due to the lack of protection for the tables that I was promised. The tables ended up with scratches on them as well as a result. I shouldn't have tipped the movers...

Sold our house in two days, had to pack quickly, did not have a house to move into. Bought a deal through Angie's List for moving and storing. And then another deal for picking up and delivering to new residence. Called a few times before our move with questions that came up and office personnel were always helpful. They called a few days before the move to confirm everything and check to see if we needed anything further. The movers were on time, brought supplies that were needed, and went right to work. Everything that was moving and going into storage was tagged and inventoried. There were a few larger items i.e., paintings, large pictures, glass lamps, large silk plants that we weren't sure how to pack was packed by the moving team which included LaVar, Robert, Jake, and Anthony. Because everything was going into storage, anything that wasn't secure in a box was shrink wrapped and/or covered. We were impressed with the movers because we could see that they knew what they were doing, worked well together, and worked hard. Once everything was packed in the truck LaVar gave us an inventory list. Our furniture was taken to an All My Sons' indoor storage facility until we called to have it delivered. We were charged for the time it took to pack and store our items, additional packing supplies needed, and the first month of storage. The only problem we had was trying to get someone to explain our charges which ended up taking three months to get. It seemed like every time we called we were told someone else needed to answer our questions. They would take our information and tell us someone would call back but they never did and this was very frustrating. We started questioning whether we had used the right company. Our moving date was December 3, 2015 and we finally received an actual invoice the last week of February 2016. We purchased another Angie's List Deal for the move out of storage and to our new residence which was scheduled for March 21, 2016. This time our moving team included Doug, Jacob, David, and Bill. And, again, they all worked well together, were hardworking and professional. Once they started to unload the truck they didn't stop until they were done. Boxes that were labeled with a certain room were placed in that room, if they weren't sure they asked. Furniture was placed exactly where we wanted it. All four gentlemen were efficient and careful which was definitely appreciated. There were only two mishaps: a computer desk that was not shrink wrapped correctly - one whole side of it was bent -- and a shattered glass door to a TV stand that was also shrink wrapped incorrectly. Unfortunately the computer desk couldn't be repaired or replaced. However, Doug called the office to check and the glass door to the TV stand could be replaced. So after all the shattered glass door was cleaned up he took the other glass door with him to be used as a template. All My Sons would call us to install it as soon as the glass was ready. At the time this seemed reasonable to us but finally when I hadn't heard from them I called on May 13, 2016 and was advised by Steve that he would try and have it delivered tomorrow. I asked him to call to let us know what time but never heard from him. So, on June 7, 2016 I called and spoke to Wyland who had me talk to Mark who said he would check on it. By some miracle Kirby called to say he was on his way to deliver the glass door. He arrived a short time later and installed the new glass doors. Kirby was terrific and is definitely an asset to All My Sons. I'm sure All My Sons are busy but that doesn't excuse the office personnel for taking as long as they did to answer simple questions, supplying an invoice when asked, following-up with details. Everyone we dealt with face-to-face was professional. They all did their jobs non-stop and All My Sons are lucky to have them. Please note the approximate cost includes the first move out of our 2-story house plus additional packing supplies, storage for four months, and delivery to our new residence.

The movers themselves did a pretty good job with some damage. Customer service was very bad. I was not allowed to file an insurance claim even with the low cost insurance provided. No call returned until certified letter sent. Then, owner offered me $20 cash and a furniture repairman for approximately $920 replacement damages. Not even that happened. Against my better judgement, I was talked into buying a more expensive Angie's list coupon and paid $695 for a $495 move, no money could be refunded. So, total cost to me coupon, tip, damages $1715.

From buying the deal through Angie's list through the move itself, it went very well. Spoke to Wyland first and he helped me verify that the deal would work for me. Since I had so much to move we scheduled an additional truck and on move day I was surprised with an additional mover at no additional cost although i did pay for the additional truck. They worked very hard in very hot weather and completed the move timely. I was and am very appreciative to all of them.

Very good and clean and wonderful to work with

Had some initial confusion with communication as I had been chatting with Wyland (Owner) directly and the gentleman I called in the office was unaware of our discussion; plus the movers themselves were not familiar with the offer I purchased through Angie's List. However both times Wyland jumped in to confirm that my understanding from speaking to him was correct and his team honored all of the promises he made. I took some trouble to explain in detail what I needed moved in order to ascertain if purchasing a deal on Angie's List was a good idea for me, and also to ask about any additional charges I should be expecting. Wyland confirmed that the 2 hour AL deal should be suitable and I did not end up needing to pay anything additional at the conclusion of my move. I got the impression a few times that he was being particularly generous to me specifically due to being an Angie's List member, which I really appreciated. During the move itself, there was one tiny snag which I hesitate to mention but only serves as a credit to the movers: one of the gents left something of his at my old residence but didn't want to stop moving in order to go back and collect it, so he asked if I would do so. Fortunately I was only moving a couple of blocks, so I left them to continue moving while I went to pick it up. I would not ordinarily feel comfortable leaving all of my worldly possessions with strangers, but I appreciated their desire to continue working uninterrupted and I am a nervous mover so I also wanted to get the process over with as soon as possible! Overall this was about as smooth as I could have hoped for and I can happily recommend All My Sons based on this experience.

Everyone at this company were all so fun! I talked to Wyland when I first called. He was charming & very funny. I talked to another fellow when I called the second time & he was also great. Our movers, Gary & Zachary, were amazing. On time, respectful, charming, fun, joyful, thoughtful & they really knew their stuff. I knew we needed professionals because the second floor condo had steps with two turns. They moved everything, including a large leather couch, with great efficiency & no damage to walls or furniture. I bought the 2 hours, 2 men package for $240 & that worked out perfectly. My ONLY complaint is that they said they would call me with the exact time for the move & that didn't happen. I had to call them... In spite of that little issue, I would recommend them highly & will call them for any future moves!

Everything went as I had hoped. They worked hard and fast. Nothing was damaged and they set up the furnishings as I requested.

The moving crew contacted me by phone to collect information and then again to confirm time. Movers came in a group of 4 and worked for 4 hours. They helped pack what still needed to be packed, took the time to secure valuable things carefully and worked constantly to complete the job. We are very happy with the service they have provided and will refer them to anyone who is moving.

I am so grateful for the professional and courteous work of this company. The movers arrived on time, worked quickly (but carefully!), and got us into our new home for an extremely reasonable price. I was stressed out, but they were so polite and helpful I couldn't help but relax. I don't plan on moving again, definitely not anytime in the near future, but I highly recommend All My Sons Moving & Storage for a painless moving experience.

The guys were on time, worked fast, were pleasant to work with, and it made the moving experience a breeze.

Movers arrived promptly at appointed time. There were four of them. From then on, it was non-stop work for them, no dilly dally, no slow walking, just go, go, go. They did not take any breaks at all, not even for lunch. Everything was done in 5 hours 15 minutes. My charges included another hour of travel time. The original estimate was $1,500, but I ended up paying $1,037. I attribute the lower amount to their efficiency and professionalism.

They were professional, they were gracious, great attitude, hard-working, and care about what they do for work. The company and the brothers were awesome! I have moved in Las Vegas and it was nice that I did not have to worry about my belongings and furniture that's very expensive. They are very honest company and I would highly recommend them.

The movers were willing to work around my schedule and come over on the weekend to do the work. They were on time and the price was exactly what they quoted me. They were very careful with both the furniture and the surrounding walls.

All My Sons did a great job. The movers showed up on time, explained everything in detail and we're very efficient. Everything made it to the new house in great shape. I purchased the Angie's list deal for two movers for two hours and it was very affordable. Overall, great job.

I contacted All my Sons through angie's list and got a call back asap. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly and professional, asked me questions about the move and told me about their company. Their hourly price was very good, the only negative was they do charge an hour of travel time for getting to the site and getting back (the other services I contacted didn't start the charge till the job site) however, it sounded like they were going to get in and get it done efficiently, and not just slowly milk the per hour rate, so I went with them. Also, I appreciate they were up front about the 1hr travel charge, there was no surprise in the matter. A crew of 3 showed up as agreed. They were all clean, friendly, professional, and introduced themselves. They were efficient and careful with my belongings. I really appreciate that during the move the office called and asked if everything was going alright and if their guys were moving at a courteous speed. They practiced clear integrity in their service which gives them an A++ in my book because I've had some bad experiences with services that are charged by the hour and try to take advantage. Overall I'm very happy with the service and would definitely recommend them.

Clifton at All My Sons called me within minutes of my submitting an online request for a quote. He asked all the important questions about my move (if I had fragile, heavy, or hard-to-assemble items, etc.) and answered all of my questions. Wyland, one of the owners, also called me shortly after scheduling to let me know they'll call me two days prior to the move to select a good arrival time. Their pricing is some of the best I've seen for such a professional moving service. $89 travel fee $89/hour of moving with a 2-hour minimum No fee for rescheduling No other hidden fees They charge in 15-minute increments after the first 2 hours. The price includes a truck (large enough to move a 4-bedroom house, I would guess), 2 movers, disassembly and reassembly, quilt wrapping on all of your furniture and fragile items I was told they are fully insured, but have the lowest claim rate out of any mover in the country (around 1%). They work 7 days a week.

It was great. I never had to argue with a computer. They recognized my voice by our third conversation and it was as though I was asking my family to help me get this project done

They moved my freezer, totally filled with frozen food. They did not come and tell me when they unloaded it, nor did they tell me they did not plug it in. I assumed they plugged it in.... 3 days later I had a stinking garage and a freezer full of defrosted rotten meat. I still cannot get the smell out of the freezer! They took no responsibility for this. They only told me it was not their policy to move freezers full of food. Their crew moved it, but it's not their policy????? They told me the insurance on the move did not cover food. I lost approximately $2,000 worth of frozen beef, chicken, pork and fish and they took no responsibility after their crew moved it???? They came and told me that they needed an extension cord to plug in my garage refrigerator, but they never mentioned anything about the freezer. Again I assumed the freezer was plugged in since they knew it was full of food. I guess you know what assuming got me! Jerry, the crew chief seemed to do a good job moving me, but they owners of this company took no responsibility for my loss. I bet if a man called them about this problem they would have responded in a different way, but I, a recently widowed female they simply ignored and walked all over me! It was the worst experience I've had in my 66 years of existence on this planet!

They worked very quickly and were friendly. They brought an extra guy and didn't charge extra for it. Everything ended up where it needed to be.

I called All My Sons Movers to move my belongings. We agreed upon a price which seemed fair. The sales agent inquired if I had large screen televisions and I replied that I did. I was told that there would be no additional charges. On moving day three men arrived at my home. I was told that any damages incurred to my television would not be covered and that I was responsible. I was also informed that they would not be responsible for any damages to any of my glass tabletops or marble tabletop unless they were crated, which could not be done at that time. when I refused to sign that they would not be responsible their dispatcher told them to leave my home. Today I called to ask for the return of my deposit and was told that they would not return it since the truck arrived at my house. When I informed the agent that the movers were told to return by there dispatcher and not sent away by me he still would not authorize a refund. I find that these practices are extremely dishonest and usually the homeowner would sign because they HAD to move on that day. I was fortunate that I scheduled my move a week in advance.

They arrived on time and worked hard. It was summer and I appreciated their effort. I had everything boxed up and ready to go. They did not have to move any appliances, just bedroom furniture, kitchen table, chairs, boxes, etc. I had sold my living furniture in preparation to move in with my fiancee. By all accounts an easy job. I used them the same week another friend used them, who had an entire 3 bedroom house WITH APPLIANCES, etc FULL of stuff and they charged her the SAME amount. I felt taken advantage of. But I would have dismissed that - businesses need to make money, etc...but then during my move one of the movers told my fiancee and I that the company only pays him minimum wage and gave us his number in case we ever wanted to rent a truck and hire him for less. Unprofessional of this worker? Definitely. But I hate to think this company does not adequately compensate their employees. The reason, however, I was prompted to write the review was that in the course of moving, they put a large HOLE in the stucco of my home. The movers apologized, and advised us to contact the company and they would take care of it. Attempts to contact the company resulted in 'the run around' both on the national level and the local level. All my Sons, is not a FAMILY operated Las Vegas business as the name leads you to believe. The end result: I am here on Angie's list looking for someone who can repair stucco at my own expense as All My Sons denies the incident even happened.

Not at all happy with move. A few of the issues: 1. I had "Bob"come out twice over three months to do estimate both times I told him how important it was to blanket and strap/band everything and provide "socks" for my electric medical bed due to V.A. paid allergy issues he said both times "these people know what they are doing they will bring everything they need." 2. The driver never called in advance to ask what I needed. He showed up with (what he said was a standard) SIX ROLLS of tape..not any "bands" like Bob told me he would have. 3. I had THIRTY VERY EXPENSIVE units of mahogany and cherry furniture to move. HE WAS NEARLY OUT OF TAPE AFTER THREE PIECES and told his people they would have to take the lighter furniture out of my house and just blanket in the truck. He refused to call the office to ask them to send more tape. 4. I called the office immediately and told "Walter" at All my Sons who is a supervisor and he basically told me I was being ridiculous to want my furniture securely banded or taped and that I would be charged for every roll anyway. Bob the estimator NEVER said that I would be charged for tape ..only that the move would be $139 an hour. He never advised me to look at small print I am a 100% disabled veteran, I told him so, and expect people to be honest and let me know any issues in advance. 5. When it came time for the bed THEY BROUGHT NO PLASTIC SHEETS AND THEY HAD NO TAPE LEFT TO EVEN USE MULTIPLE BLANKETS. I was lucky enough that I had a roll of my own tape left and I happened to have a sheet of plastic I hadn't thrown out that I used to keep my cat from peeing on the bed. I had to do the motor taping it didn't seem like they had ever taken a motorized bed before they asked me how it came apart. So "Bob" the estimator was full of BS that he said these guys were professionals and would provide all packing materials and knew how to transport a medical bed. 6. Finally, again I was told by "Bob" that the job was $139. per hour. No extra charges were mentioned. The driver showed up at 8:30AM and left at 1:15PM, so that is LESS THAN five hours. 5 X $139 per hour is only $695.00. So WHY was I charged $906.00. Did this driver charge me for 6 hours...not five....or there are $200.00 in taxes and other fees with only six rolls of tape used??????? I did not have a calculator on me, I had just dealt with the worst move of my life in stress level and a driver that kept blaming "Bob" for everything that went wrong for not telling him anything I needed, so I was too confused and flustered so I didn't know at that time I may have been overcharged. I have made SIXTEEN MILITARY MOVES AND THREE CIVILIAN MOVES SINCE 1975 and I have NEVER had any of these issues. The trucks have ALWAYS showed up with enough tape or (the past 3 moves used bands). If something ran out, then they either called the office for more or sent the staff back to get more. Neither of which the driver or Walter the office supervisor were willing to do. I did give the three workers each a $25.00 tip because they worked very hard and I know that supply was not their fault it was the drivers fault. The driver was quite upset that I would not give him a tip. I told him it was his responsibility to provide the missing materials he made more money anyway. He said he made the same amount of money as his helpers (no extra which I don't believe) and it was Bobs (the estimators) fault that he wasn't told about all the necessaries. But he didn't even bring enough tape to do a 600 square foot apartment. Let alone a house filled with over 30 mahogany and cherry antique chests and armoires. There were also quite a bit of scratches and gouges on many of the furniture pieces but at that point I was just done with it and I just had to get them out of the house. Later I found that one corner of an armoire had totally cracked off and I remember that the Driver held his hand in that exact spot for over two minutes while I was talking to him so he knew it was cracked and was hiding it. I already had a heart attack and this move stressed me so much (especially after Walters comments) that I felt very sick for the last 3 hours of the move. I let the three workers know how upset I was with the driver and supervisor Walter ...over and over and over during the five hours. I called All My Sons Corporation to discuss this but they refused to call me back. After days of calling them they referred me back to Supervisor Walter from the local branch. Supervisor Walter then denied he ever talked to me on moving day and I must have talked to someone else. He is the only supervisor named Walter in the company and I wrote everything down in detail on moving day including his name. Because I told him I would give the company an F rating on Angies, he refunded me back the hour overcharge but only $95.00 more for the hassle I had to go through for a total of $600.00. He should have offered me a half price move for what the company put me through. I called All My Sons local branch at least five times before I actually made the move. Every time I got a different person who gave me a different story. I should have known to not use them just based on that.
