Worker arrived over an hour late for the appt. and at the end of the day. He started the inspection and then stated that one new A/C was required (we had an idea that would be the case). Our second A/C was fine. We asked for our options and his "professional advise." He advised and tried to sell us on purchasing a unit that was not energy efficient (not variable speed and 13 SEER) and, furthermore, we learned that this unit would be obsolete at the end of the year according to the new guidelines. It also requires a type of freon that is expensive and is getting moreso over time - because it is getting substituted for a syntheticbrand. (Air Pro got a "good deal" on these specific units for a reason! In our case, there was no "passing on savings" as a good deal for the customer. We learned differently upon researching the specs!) I left a phone message late that night canceling the order and it was not listened to. The worker arrived to be surprised to find another company already at the house with a different A/C unit (in fairness the Air Pro worker did finish the incomplete inspection --according to the Angies List ad-- by cleaning the filters, which had been paid for). We are glad that we got honest advise from Signature A/C (which was verified by the checking facts with other companies) and we received prompt and professional service from Signature A/C and Heating, over a long weekend and in 110 degree temps. We would highly recommend the latter!

Air Pro Masters was setup for me by AHS (American Home Shield). The guy came out last week to repair a malfunctioning garbage disposal (turns out it just needed to be reset). He was also there to deal with a clogged toilet. As he was working to try and unclog the toilet, the repairman told me he thinks the toilet needs to be replaced because there is obvious corrosion at the bottom, near the pipe-line, but that the home warranty will not cover replacing a toilet. He quoted me $384 to come back and do the work outside of the home warranty. He was able t get the toilet unclogged while he was there, but noticed (as dd I) that the water was not flushing from the bowl properly, so the water was getting really high in the bowl before it would actually go down SLOWLY, till finally it flushed completely. 2 days later, someone used that toilet and flushed it, and nasty toilet water went all over my bathroom floor, it would not drain as fast as it was filling with water on every flush. I called AHS, who said they would contact the technician to verify his diagnosis of needing to replace the toilet,, because he hadn't documented anything about it on his work order. The tech was supposed to show yesterday between 2-5pm; I received a phone call from him close to 5pm saying he was running late, he'll be here shortly. At 545pm I called him and said where are you? He said he was close, about 20 minutes away. I told him I needed to leave for an appointment, and that he'd have to come back tomorrow (today). Today, the tech came (same guy as originally). He starts working on the toilet and tells me that he doesn't know if replacing the toilet will help, because he thinks maybe there are tree roots in the pipe. Estimated cost for checking into and repairing that would be $85 to scope with a camera down the drain, and anywhere from $1800-3800 to remove the tree roots and repair the pipes. The tech also casually mentioned that he recently completed a side job for a customer who had a similar issue (tree roots) for ~$350. The tech today WAS able to clear the clog from this toilet, and this time the water, when flushing the toilet, does not go all the way up to the top of the bowl before it recedes into the pipe. I'm hoping this fix is all that was really needed. However, I will be calling AHS and complaining about this company; I want a better plumber to come and assess the situation here. As soon as this tech realized my Home Warranty would cover replacing a toilet, the job became a whole different "problem", a much larger one that for sure wouldn't be covered by any warranty...it just seemed shady to me, that suddenly his game changed when the home warranty people asked for something on paper about needing to replace the toilet, suddenly replacing the toilet won't help....riiight.
Description of Work: Was here twice in 1 week; once for a clogged toilet and malfunctioning garbage disposal, the other for same clogged toilet...again. Seems to be switching his diagnosis, based on potential money he can get for the job.

First tech came out on a Friday, Jason. He was a pleasant guy but obviously overworked. Claimed it was a condenser/capacitor problem, and needed to order parts, would also check to make sure compressor was right specs for the a/c...would call us Monday....no call, no follow up. We had to call office, came back out claimed it was a Freon loss also, had to repair lines, take parts into shop on Saturday, came back on Sunday, "repaired unit" stated it might last " 15 minutes or 15 years...ha ha....". Spent $ 275 on Freon. Unit failed within 48 hours. Next tech came out following Friday, start week 2 now, he was unaware of Jason's non fix. Spent time on roof. Came down. Claimed it was compressor. Wanted to come back later that day and check to make sure as unit was too hot to test....came back confirmed new compressor was needed. His name was ahmed, akmed, something like that, nice guy but really did nothing. Had to order through warranty company. Office waits until Monday to order, office also claims they need to order a Crane for the unit...another 250? w**. Nick the next tech, week 3 now shows upon Friday at 1100, works until 3, Fixes nothing. Claims compressor warranty company sent was bad. Has supervisor come out that night and they claim it is a bad compressor. Supervisor told me he would get one from their supply be out Monday to fix. Monday nothing. Kirsten Guitterez, the manager acts like she is tired of our calling and states she doesn't have to deal with us anymore...w**. Sitting in house now with no a/c and a company that is totally mismanaged and frankly, acting like crooks. BS. Will take it up with BBB, an attorney, insurance and warranty companies. Horrible people and service.
Description of Work: Worst experience ever. Kirsten the manager is an absolute tyrant with no service skills. Out of A/C for three weeks. Three different techs. All appear to be trained and knowledgeable but they are not fixing the problem. They have confused the problems between them and there is no consistency. The manager said we were at her mercy and that she didn't have to deal with us...why? ....because we complained about the slip shod service. Owner is invisible. The company is holding us hostage. Miserable outfit. F across the board.

With a full house (12 visitors), when my water heater burst I was extremely distraught! When I called Air Pro and explained my predicament, they responded within an hour and a half. I begged to get it replaced that day...and they performed a miracle, getting a new one across town and replacing it after working hours, into the night. Their Customer Service was Superb, the Professionalism Impressive. I would highly recommend them, and will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: With a house full of family visiting, my water heater burst and flooded my garage. Air Pro SAVED the day, replacing my water heater that day for me.

He was very professional and nice. He came out the very next day from when I called. The serviceman was informed, trustworthy and he explained everything to me. Overall it was a very good experience. I would call them back again.
Description of Work: They checked both units and I had them replace two capacitors, which by his advice would reduce the wattage usage. He fixed my thermostat at no charge.

This company is actually really decent. They get a bad rap on some forums, but I think it's mostly due to their association with home warranty companies. They came out, Jose the technician is very friendly and punctual. He diagnosed our leaking water heater and non-working circulation pump as needing replacement. The front office is a little less communicative, but, for the most part, friendly. Our home warranty company ordered the wrong brand water heater that didn't fit, putting Air Pro in a bad spot, asking me to approve putting a hole through our exterior wall for a new vent, all of which would not be covered by the warranty. Jose did quite a bit of research trying to get parts, but in the end it didn't work out. I attribute this to the home warranty company and not to Air Pro. Jose came this morning and picked up the incompatible water heater and was very friendly about it. I applaud his professionalism. Overall, the timetable for getting a water heater fixed is way too slow - we've been a week without hot water. I'd say 90 percent of the fault is on the home warranty company.

Owner not present when workman arrived. He provided no service, told my tenants the heater had to be replaced because he said it was leaking. He left a work order to replace the heater. The workman did not do what I requested (on the phone). That was to replace he heating element. I went to the property the next day and found the water heater had no leak.
Description of Work: Company was selected by AHS insurance company. $75 co-pay. I told the company that the water heater needed a heating element for my hot water heater. Air Pro Master's repair man came to the home told my tenant the heater is leaking and needs to be replaced. He said the heater is under warranty and there would be no charge; but to bring the home up to code it would cost $600 plus. I would have to have a electrical disconnect box, earth quake straps, reroute of presser release pipe and a permit. I inspected the water heater and there is no water leak!! I instructed my brother on how to check the heating elements and the test failed so I had my brother take out the heating element and found it to be defective. He replaced the element and the water heater is back in service.! Cost of part $18 covered under warranty. Pro Air Master appears to fabricate defects to UP SALE repair cost.

Went very well. Wasn't quick to just start cutting holes. Planned out the work to be done and discussed it with me prior to starting. Had to come back with parts and drop cloths to protect our carpet. Extremely friendly, punctual and professional. Cleaned up after himself. A+

In December 2012, my AC/furnace combo unit stopped blowing hot air. That was the second time it happened in that same month. The first time it happened, the furnace returned to normal operation on its own after about 30 min of not blowing hot air. When this happened for the second time, I then decided to call AHS home warranty and they had set up a service call with this company. This time again, by the time the tech arrived, the furnace started working normal, and the tech said he couldn't find any problems. The good thing is, he said he will not accept the $75 deductible since he couldn't find any problem. The thing is, this tech was only up on my roof for about 5 mins. Well guess what? I got a call from AHS and they asked me to pay $75 or they will not accept any future work request until it's paid. I called Air Pro Master to discuss this issue but whoever I spoke to denied my reasons and basically told me there's nothing they will do about it. So I ended up paying $75, and I am not happy about this company's work ethic. First the tech said the $75 charge was necessary, then later I get asked to pay that amount. The tech said one thing and but later I ended up otherwise. As I mentioned, the tech was in my roof for only about 5 min at the longest! He could have at least spend more time to check the furnace.

Customer service apparently does not play a role in how this company operates. We have been without air for more than a week. They attempted to fix the problem 4-days ago and they were told almost immediately their "fix" didn't work. At that point, it would be a reasonable thought that they would make our repair a priority. This was not that case. In fact, Kristin with Air Pro Master became quite rude and combative on the phone and refused to offer and timely assistance.
Description of Work: We had one air conditioning unit that was not working. Air Pro Masters came out to repair the unit. They replaced the motor and said it was fixed. Thirty minutes later, the unit was still not cooling and I called and left a message with issue. As this was a service call through our home warranty company, I was instructed to call the home warranty company back so they could issue a recall notice, which I did and the home warranty company did (this was on Saturday). On Monday, I called and spoke to Kristin about trying to get something scheduled and she was unable to work anything in to their schedule, despite the fact that their technicians failed to fix the problem 4-days prior.

Overcharged on just about everything possible on the invoice. The cost was two and three times the value on certain items. They even charged five times the cost of the drip pan. They even charged us more than three times the value of the permit which I have yet to recieve a copy of after requesting.

Sam the technician showed up on time and immediately went into his inspection and diagnosis process. He quickly got to work and bottom lined he fixed the problems. I would definitely call Air Pro Master again. Very Professional! I also must add that I was referred to these guys because another company (Priority Services of Las Vegas) totally failed miserably the day before. So Not only did Air Pro Master pick up the slack they did not even collect from me because this was routine warranty work. I appreciate the professionalism. Sam is a great plumber.

This company was referred to me via my American Home Shield warranty. While they called shortly after the service request, I didn't actually book an appointment. This was due to the administrator coordinating the calls and her lack of customer service skills. I simply asked questions regarding the service and she quickly grew terse in her replies and dismissed me by stating 'I said they would look at it'.' I let her know I would call them back. Needless to say this prompted me to contact AHS and have them assign the service request to another provider. When I called Air Pro after to let them know they could cancel the request, I was met by the same person on the phone with an instant 'please hold'. No wait for a response or reply.

We were referred to this company through American Home Shield. Our air conditioner had stopped working. The technician came out and replaced a capacitor that cost us an additional $185 on top of the $60 copay for the service call. From that moment, the circuit breaker tripped every 10 to 20 minutes. It was obvious he had replaced it with the wrong part or there was nothing wrong with the capacitor to begin with. In fact he told us that the problem was the size of the capacitor, not that there was something wrong with it. Funny that the capacitor had been on there for 6 years without a problem and all of a sudden its the wrong size. I called to be reimbursed and was told that they would not reimburse us. These are unethical people who will replace parts that do not need replacing.

This was a rental unit that had a household warrenty on the appliances. The old unit was 20 years old and when I had it repaired by another company the year before they tried three times and were unable to fix it. They said that the warrenty company would only pay to fix it even though it really needed to be replaced. After replacement of the compressor, I called the warrenty company for another fix. They sent me to Air Pro. They came down when they said they would, said the unit needed to be replaced and recommended that to the warrenty company and they agreed to replace it. My cost was to bring the electrical up to code, craine to place the unit on the roof, and a new platform. The company is great. the estimate was right on and I just recommended them to a neighbor this morning.

My heater was only coming on when it felt like it. I wake up at 3:15 am for my work days since I have to be to work at 5:30 am and it would be 62 degrees in the house and the heater would not come on. It would "click" at times like it was trying to come on but wouldn't "catch." I have a thermostat that can be set to different temperatures at different times so I set them all the same - it still would not respond. The technician fixed the problem quickly in less than 10 minutes and we were (and still are) toasty warm. I was a little concerned in the initial referral to this company by my home warranty program since their email address seemed like it was to a personal email address rather than a business - but as long as they responded and got the problem solved quickly and efficiently - I am happy.

The insurance company picked them for us, and the work was covered by the home-warranty service. They were very nice. The first guy was super knowledgeable and the second guy was professional. They were responsive and punctual, and I would use them in the future.

After a battle over coverage with our home insurance which was denied, these good people gave us an excellent price for a replacement outdoor unit. That is when we realized how we had been ripped off by our previous installer (2 years ago). The technician was extremely knowledgeable and very professional and did an excellent job. Additionally the new unit was quieter and more efficient than the old one which was improperly installed, and that is why it failed prematurely. Once we agreed on how to proceed, service was very prompt. That was good as they are busy at this time of year with temperatures in the low hundreds!
Description of Work: Replaced outdoor air conditioning condenser (compressor) width had failed due to no filter/drier being installed.

When we returned home from a vacation we noticed both of our heaters were out. It was during the winter time so we rushed to find someone to come out and fix them. Air pro told us they would get here as soon as they could but unfortunately it took them over 2 days to get here. Luckily, we have a fireplace to sleep near. Air Pro accepted the warranty and was very courteous and professional in fixing the problem.
Description of Work: Air Pro replaced the DISC boxes for my two heaters in my 2700 square foot home. The heaters were covered under warranty.
