I had the fire alarm system put in a decade ago. I used their services twice in the last two months. The first time, they didn’t have the parts they needed. We told them that our fire alarm had malfunctioned three times resulting in the fire department coming to our house. So, ADT sent out some guy who couldn’t fix it. Then they sent somebody out to fix something else. The guy said he needed batteries and he put in the batteries. That apparently didn’t fix it. So, I tried to get him scheduled for Saturday. Then they told me that the guy who has the inventory to do what needs to be done doesn’t work on Saturdays. That means that ADT is charging for service that they are not prepared to provide. The price was included in the monthly fee which I have been paying and getting nothing for a long time. I don’t remember as to what their monthly fee is and they just charge my credit card. They don’t care. I have had 10 years of experience with them. They don’t provide their technicians with the parts that are needed to do the repairs that they are supposed to do. The technician showed up as per schedule. I had another residence at another city. They told us that we couldn’t terminate their service because we had a contract for a minimum of one year and we hadn’t used it for one year, but all of that was false. We had no contract because we had transferred them from another address in that city. We had used them at that address for a year and for a year and a half at the other address. So, there was no contract for a minimum of one year. They were wrong in terms of the time we had used them. It was in my estimation that they tried to extract the money from us that we didn’t know. I don’t know if we could get out of the contract because that particular invoice was paid by my wife. However, I assume we did and I hope they have stopped billing us. So, it is horrible.

Today I called the national customer service number again. They referred me back to the local number I have already called. This is very frustrating, the system doesn't work correctly in one place and 6 stations that I am paying for are not hooked up at all. Worse, no one responds to my messages. Terrible customer service in my opinion.

They came on time and explained the things that they had to do. They showed us how it works and everything. Everything was done pretty fast.

Very good experience. The installer was punctual, knowledgeable, answered all questions, and cleaned up after himself!! Even though the initial unit was expensive, they offered me a $200 rebate! Also, the price of monthly monitoring via a wireless/cell network is less than the traditional cost of the same service using a landline telephone. I also don't have to worry about someone cutting the phone lines.

They came down when they were supposed to, the work was done on the day they said they would do it and I had no complaints about the installation. I haven't had any problem since then. I would use them again.

Everything went well except for the fact that something was wired backwards and I had to have somebody come back to look at it.

I contacted ADT through their web site. I was called back within 24 hours to schedule an appointment for someone to come to my home and explain their services. Charlene Jablonski arrived on time and was very professional. She explained the different alarm systems available, measured all window and door openings and gave prices for various levels of security. After discussing our needs with us, we decided because we were basically looking for personal security for my mother who was living alone, that ADT Companion Service would be ideal. She had the monitor along with her in the car and brought it in to demonstrate. We decided that would be the best alternative. Charlene then took the time to get it completely up and running, making sure that could be activated from anywhere in the home/garage and that my mother understood how to use it. We were very fortunate that she had the monitor alone with her, as the very next day my mother fell and injured herself, and because she had the monitor in the home and the pendant around her neck, she was able to contact ADT, who in turn contacted paramedics and myself. I appreciated that Charlene did not try to talk us into something more expensive that we didn't need and that she had the monitor along with her so we had the service immediately.

ADT has been very good. The system was set up quickly and their monitoring is always on top of things. Great piece of mind.

THIS WAS A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH. THE REPRESENTATIVE SHOWED ME HIS COMPANY ID AND WAS ON TIME, PROFESSIONALLY DRESSED AND WELL SPOKEN. HE MADE RECOMMENDATION THAT I TOTALLY AGREED TO AND HE ARRANGED FOR AN ADT TECH TO INSTALL MY SYSTEM IN A FEW DAYS. THE INSTALLER WAS ALSO ON TIME, HE INSTALLED MY NEW SECURITY SYSTEM IN A TIMELY MANNER, WENT OVER DETAILS WITH ME AND LEFT MY HOME JUST AS CLEAN AS IT WAS WHEN HE ARRIVED. ADT IS THE BEST!

I opted not to use ADT. Their prices seemed a little high and they would not have gone with the pre-wiring my house already had since I live in an older home. They also said if the alarm went off it would take them fifteen minutes to get to my home. Then, they would call the police. In an emergency, I would want help faster than that. They are not a bad company in general. They were just not a good match for me in my situation.

ADT is a great company. The signs they place outside of my home probably even deter burglars. I once had a false alarm and they responded right away. I feel reassured that this company protects my home and my belongings. I have had no major problems.

ADT is okay. I really never researched other companies to compare prices. My wife handles the relations with that company primarily. I do not feel comfortable referring business to them because I honestly can not say I have researched them to a large extent. I continue to give them my business though so we have experienced no major problematic difficulties that come to mind. I believe we are charged monthly somewhere under fifty dollars. They are an average company, I guess you could say.

ADT has never given me a problem. I am satisfied with the services I receive. I have never had any reason to be concerned about the performance of ADT. I feel satisfied with the services they are providing on a monthly basis for a rather low and reasonable cost.

I guess the service is good. I have never been happy with any of the alarm companies that I have used. This one is comparable to all of the rest of them in my opinion. They are pretty responsive when the alarm goes off. I have not had any additional charges for the police showing up because of that. They always call when the alarm goes off. The installation of the unit was fine once they replaced a worker that in my opinion did not know what he was doing. I think he was new. I think the price is about average.

ADT provides good service. I really like the fact that they have a local company that comes and does any necessary repairs and that process is quite simple. They also respond to our false alarms quite quickly. We have been happy with their service.

I really have not had any problems with them at all. I did have one false alarm but I was the one who had set it off. The police showed up at my door in no time at all. I was surprised in how fast they came. They really make me feel safe and secure in my home.

I like ADT. We had previously been using them for alarm monitoring when we lived in San Diego. The only thing I did not like was the fact they did not have more options available to customers who are moving. I was basically penalized for moving and wound up paying a lot of money I should not have had to pay because of a two year contract with them. They can sometimes be inflexible. I have no problem with my usual monthly service fees. I just wish they would improve how they work with customers who are contracted into service agreements with them but wind up moving. Otherwise, I am a content customer.

We have been using ADT for five years and would not change companies for anything in the world. The alarm has gone off on accident before and they called us immediately to make sure we are all okay. They will show up if we do not answer the phone when they call.

The lady that came was in and out. She really knew her stuff. I was very happy with the service. The only thing that I do not like is the service number that you have to call. It has a lot of automated responses that you have to go through, besides that I am overall pleased with them.

We are still debating what plan we want to go with and deciding on whether or not to use them. We just want to make sure we get the best price that is out there. This company was not the cheapest but did offer a few other services other companies did not.

We use a home insurance which lowers the cost of the installation. The work was done very well. They were on time and did not take a long item to complete the work either. I was overall very pleased with the service.

When we had it installed, they gave us attachments for future doors we had planned on buying and recently came out, and installed them cheaper for us than it would have been if we had not of bought the extra attachments when we first had the system installed. The alarm system allows me to receive three hundred dollars off of my homeowners insurance every year. Our dog set off the alarm once this year and they called immediately to let us know and turned it off once we knew we were okay.

This national alarm company has provided excellent service for us for several years. We have never experienced a break in, although we have had 3 or 4 false alarms. One time the false alarm was due to a door sensor that fell off a patio door, probably because of the intense Vegas heat. In every other case, the false alarm was because of a motion sensor. We have disabled this sensor and would not install one again. Based on prior experience with a different alarm company, I would strongly recommend the glass break sensor. It resulted in the arrest of a would-be burglar who broke a glass to get into our mountain cabin.

The ADT sales representative was knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. He understood what was needed and did not attempt to sell unneeded products or services. The skilled alarm installer kept to the agreed upon starting and completion schedule. My ADT alarm system provides me with a high level of comfort that the strobe alarm light and very loud horn will alert the neighborhood and to mitigate any burglaries that penetrate the alarm system. ADT alarm monitors have telephoned immediately on rare occasions when we forgot to disarm the system before we opened our door. ADT Security provides an excellent service. Our experience was enhanced because we dealt directly with corporate sales and installation and not with authorized subcontractors.
