 + -1 moreDave and his son arrived on time and were very thorough. He took time to explain to me everything they were doing and why it needed to be done. He was very patient with my questions and concerns - I had received a very high water bill the month before and he figured out why and then fixed the problem. He had some other valuable suggestions as well. I hope I do not have any more problems with my irrigation system, but if I do, I will call Dave and Dave Jr. - they are a great team!
Description of Work: Inspected entire irrigation system, adjusted sprinklers/spray area, adjusted timer, replaced sprinkler heads, replaced irrigation hoses and so much more!

 + -1 moreDave and his crew arrived promptly when they said they would arrive. They identified three problems in the system that were causing me to have an excessively high water bill. He told me my options and the approximate cost. It was obvious from the beginning that they knew exactly what they were doing and that they were sticklers for detail. Dave told me that he had rather do the job right the first time than to have to come back later because of a problem. They had everything they needed in the van, and I was shown the problems and told exactly what they were doing and why as the repairs proceeded. I will definitely call them again if I have a problem. This business is family owned and operated and they stay busy, which tells you the kind of work they do. Businesses like this get a big part of their customers from word-of-mouth referrals. Thanks to Angies List for circulating the irrigation system tune-up discount that caused me to call them.

 + -1 moreWhile doing his check he found a leak in my system that was under my driveway as evidenced by water coming up through a crack in the concrete. My choices were to reduce watering time so as not to create a sink hole under the driveway or totally cap the system off on one side of the driveway and extend the system on the other. I chose the second as the 1st was only a stop gap measure. He had his men do the work and so far so good. He also replaced all drip heads. I am please with his service but thought it was a little expensive. He really seemed to know what he was doing though...so I guess you get what you pay for.

 + -1 moreI purchased an Angie's List Big Deal coupon for this service. I also contacted them for additional services so we are not done with the work yet. So far, it has gone very well and we are pleased. They were there when they said they would be and they did exactly what they said they would do. They clearly were capable and knowledgeable about what services they were doing. It is something I could have done myself but I would rather not. I at least know what they are doing and how to do it and so does my wife. They executed very well.
Description of Work: I used A Discount Sprinklers to repair a variety of problems in my sprinkler system, including breaks in the lines and broken nozzles.

 + -1 moreWe had purchased a Big Deal for A Discount Sprinklers. They came to house and did an inspection on our yard sprinkler system. They found some pipes busted, a couple bad sprinkler heads and control unit bad. They gave us an estimate for the repairs and we agreed to have work done. They had to dig up the busted pipes and replace. They replaced the sprinkler heads and controller. Everything works fine now. I liked the approach from the gentleman about what exactly needed to be done.

They talked to us about the areas that are a bit old or weak in our system that will probably need to be replaced in the next few years. We will definitely use these guys to do those fixes. They took the time to explain things to us (as we are new to desert landscaping). Great people, great job!

Description of Work: Checked entire system. Replaced a leaking vacuum break valve which was damaged in a freeze. Found sections being water where we had no grass(previously removed, replaced with desert xeriscape). Reset zones, removed 4 valves and capped off pipes. Replaced and realigned mist and drip heads. Checked every head and zone.

 + -1 moreeneral my whole yard of a 1/3 acre had to be all redone.
Description of Work: My drip system was a mess. I had leak in all three boxes of the valves. My main pipe was leaking and almost all my drips were not working. At some point someone who worked on the yard combined 2 zones together which did not give me enough pressure to water all my plants. The yard with the sprinkler heads were flooding the yard and it had way to much over spray. In general the whole yard had to be redone. Dave came and worked all day Saturday and was not done. By my surprise they offered to come over Sunday "Easter Sunday" and finish. Dave the owner works right there with his son and helper and does not leave the job. He also put in a new and easy to use irrigation clock. The valves were not the cheap plastic ones I had. They were metal. The boxes were neat and not just full of all kinds of wires. Because I wanted to figure out where the cross up with the zones were they dug up all over the yard were I thought the work had been done that mixed the zones. They dug for probably one whole day just to try to find what I felt I needed to know. Dave then fixed what the problem was by rerouting the zones. I can't say enough about this company they are great people and work really hard to do everything you want done. They explain everything so you understand everything they did, and tell you to call them if you need anything at all. Great company! Great people! Erika Randolph

 + -1 moreI had 2 drip emitters that were gushing with water because my two puppies found them very tasty!! I was able to get an appointment the very next day. Dave and his son were on time for the appointment and very helpful. Dave made sure that I understood why the sprinkler heads needed to be replaced and described the different functions of the system. He answered all my questions very thoroughly and had helpful suggestions on how I can save money this summer on my water bill. I highly recommend A Discount Sprinklers and will definitely use them again if needed.

 + -1 moreResponse was same day; he was finishing up an emergency call in my area so he added me to the end of his day. He explained all services covered and all extras recommended as well as time involved. Good service.
Description of Work: All sprinklers were inspected. A major leak was found and replaced (additional charge as this was not part of the advertised service), Some heads were repositioned to give a better feed to the shrubbery and some intrusive roots from a neighbor's tree were trimmed back from a water junction next to my house. Timer was found to have a dead battery. It was reset.

 + -1 moreHe was very prompt with responding and setting up a time for the work and was exactly at his estimated price even after doing some additional landscaping work. I've used him twice and will continue to use and refer him in the future.
Description of Work: My dog completely destroyed the irrigation system that was in my backyard not once, but twice. Both times Dave was able to fix everything in just a few hours. New tubing (about 60 feeet) and sprinkler heads. He also reset the system timer to be in line with the water company's advised watering schedule.

 + -1 moreThe control unit was leaking, and the leak was getting pretty substantial. It was costing me a lot of money. I called several different people and got a variety of answers. I found A Discount Sprinklers in the Las Vegas Business Press - I don?t remember why I chose them. They came out, looked at what I had and gave me a price. I asked for a senior discount and a military discount, at which they backed off a little bit. They did what they had to do and also did a couple of extra things. They were fine with me as far as what they did do. They were in and out of here in about 30 minutes. They fixed my problem for the price that they had quoted. I would most certainly use them in the future, if necessary.
