A Discount Sprinklers

I had had to turn off all water to the house. I called a plumber & discount sprinkle to diagnose water leak. Plumbers opinion was 2-5 thousand $$ tomorrow. 3eDiscount sprinklers did it now for $700.00. I was very happy. I am a repeat customer for normal irrigation tune ups. This is the company you want.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. I was fairly pleased. They did a lot of extra work that I wasn't quite sure that I needed done. They were pretty good. He was pretty knowledgeable. They actually had to come back a second time because we needed extra sprinklers on each tree. We only had one and they suggested that we put in a second one. There was quite a bit more that we had to add on to the actual purchase price. It was kind of an unexpected add-on. They came right away the first time and it was about 2 weeks later when they came the second time. They did good work and he brought helpers. He went over everything but we were not expecting all the extra charges. He suggested things and used standard equipment and put in standard things. They seemed to be a bit more expensive than we bargained for. I think we could have gotten it cheaper if we had gone somewhere else. They were here on time.

I don’t recall there being any troubles with scheduling. There were no troubles with the service.

Their pricing was reasonable. They just came and did their job and that was pretty much it. There was nothing special about them one way or another other than they did seem to do the work that we asked them to do. Pricing was probably a little higher than we expected but it didn't seem to be drastically out of line.

Did the services that were needed. Prompt, courteous service. Will use them again.

We initially purchased the sprinkler tune up offer and learned a lot about our system. Although we aren't ready to actually go ahead and use their service just yet, we got a clear written estimate of a future job. The estimate included replacing the current watering system brain, fixing all leaks along the lines, replacing our current, above ground water valves with an in-ground unit and also removing the current rock and installing grass. We have a large area and learned that we currently have a sprinkler system in place under the rock to reduce cost. The quoted price included all labor and materials. We would have gone ahead and signed right there and then but other high priority (and high priced) projects popped up inside the house. We were more than pleased and impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and courtesy at the consultation.

The father and son team were friendly, instructive and took care to do a fine job. When they came back they resolved quickly and though the issue was not their responsibility they covered it. I was more than satisfied and gladly recommend.

They were fine, they were expensive though and that is the only bad thing. I did not use them. They came and gave me an estimate on work to do on my yard and it was almost double from anybody else that I got. The guy that owns the company was Dave. I told him that he was just too high. He was really nice; he is just too expensive. He explained why the sprinkler heads were so expensive, something like that they were $10 each or something and the labor to dig up the lines and everything. He explained everything but it still just seemed way overpriced to me. $99 special was fine, I did not mind paying him that but just for the fact that he did not do anything except for come out, walk around and tell me that I need $1200 worth of work done, which I am sorry I think I could go to just about anybody and have it done for $300 or $400. Their responsiveness was good.

The irrigation inspection was no more than 10 minutes which I felt was superficial. The contractor wanted $550-$700 for a more complete overhaul which I could accept if we knew specifically of any problems. I declined the additional work.

They didn't provide much of a service at all. It was more a consultation than a "tune-up". Very disappointing. The tech was also very arrogant.

They spent time to explain how I can adjust the system myself and educated me on proper watering. My first months bill after they came out was $50 dollars less (only 20 days). I will defiantly use them again to maintain my system.

I was satisfied with their service that I needed them to do. They were here for about twenty minutes. I may look around for price comparison before I decided to use them again in the future.

The service turned out fair. I wouldn't do it again. Some of the hour was their sales pitch on what to upgrade, and do differently. I didn't have confidence in the individual, he was a fast talker, and not somebody that I felt comfortable in hiring to do more work. The initial price seemed like a good deal.

Fine very professional. I will get the sprinklers from this company soon.

The service was unsatisfactory. The tune up was done, but there were some leaks and we feel that he charged more than necessary (over the $59 Tune Up service) for the work that was done. We are unfamiliar with the timer and settings on our Rain Bird system and we asked him to show us how to work it. It was second nature to him so he raced through it and didn't explain anything at all.

Walked around the yard, commented on what should be done on the sprinkler system . Subsequently, he submitted a quote of about $700 to carry out his recommendations. The ad by A Discount Sprinkler should state: $59 or $69 to inspect and make recommendations on client's existing irrigation system. That is exactly what they did --- inspect and recommend. Ad is kind of deceiving.

Dave showed up on time. Told me that the clock was old and weathered. He then replaced and set the watering times. He also replaced several sprinkler heads.

While replacing a few plants in my yard I accidentally cut one of the small bubble head lines. I called Dave and he came out the next day to repair. This is the third time I have used A Discount Sprinklers, and I've received great service, great value each time. I was afraid scheduling was going to be a problem for this visit, but Dave agreed to do the work without my being there! I was thrilled! I left payment for him at the house and he phoned me at work to let me know when he was finished with the work. I tested it when I got home that evening - and perfection! I'll continue using A Discount Sprinklers for all my irrigation work/services.

Job was completed on time and workmanship is outstanding. I would highly recommend A-Discount Sprinklers. I believe the prices are reasonable and the owner Dave is a real gentleman.

Before replacing the sprinkler controls and valves, Dave showed me our old worn ones and also what the new ones would be like. Our old ones were very cheaply made and the new ones should last forever, I think. He and some helpers adjusted the sprinklers and moved many of them to work better with my now larger plants.

Originally it went wonderfully. He came out, did the work, had to come back to complete the work since he had overextended himself but did come back for the work. I had to call again in regards to something. They came out fairly quickly and was wonderful. The third time, it didn't go so well. He had me sit around my house for 3 hours in the window and of course never did make that window and actually called me to say that I can come out there but it's going to cost you more based on my location and that didn't go over so well for me. He did offer that I can call him anytime within a window and he will come out and do the service and that was like 5 weeks ago and I have yet to call him back because it was kind of rude. He only takes cash or check which makes it a little inconvenient for those people that do not know that. Overall with that company, he tried but he is not a big company so I do have to give a certain amount of credit. Up to the last time I was satisfied but that last time kind of put a nick in there, I wasn't happy about it.

We were very happy with them. It cost what they quoted. They do just what they say they will do and charge just what they say they will charge. The quality of the service was just fine.
