They have been very good. They are not cheap but they do the work that they say they will do and they do it on time and it seems to be done right. When I went to Nissan with it they wanted to replace the whole master cylinder for five hundred and some dollars and Sunset did the job for a hundred and something.

I have an old 1995 Ford that other people may have sold/abandoned years ago. I love the car and have kept it in near immaculate condition. Since moving to Las Vegas 12 years ago I have had the usual horror stories to tell about auto service providers here. This includes mis diagnosed problems, ridiculous high prices (50-100% markups) for parts and the ubiquitous upselling of services. The dealers( I have been to them all in Las Vegas) were just as bad as the independents. What a breath of fresh air to find Mike (owner), MD(manager) and the crew at Sunset Auto. The are knowledgeable and honest, a winning combination in my book. They will tell you what is wrong with your car and not create services that are not required. Coming from California, there are consumer protection laws to protect car owners from the relentless upselling of services not needed. The law differentiates between "recommended" services (those that are needed) vs. other suggested services. You can ask the service provider if the services is needed or merely a suggestion and they must inform you. There is no similar consumer protection here in Nevada. Not to worry with MD and Sunset auto. They have built a loyal client base over the years with hard work and honest pricing. They always seem very busy and it is for good reason. Mondays are usually among the busiest so you may want to skip that day for service. I have used them countless times over the last 5 years and they have allowed me to keep my old car purring like it was new.

About 10:30am, my SUV stared running very rough while I was on the freeway. I was barely able to get off of the freeway and into a parking lot. As my husband and I have used Sunset Auto Imports Service several times in the past (always with excellent results), I called them as soon as I could. I spoke with Mike D (their manager), and told him what had just happened. I asked him if I could get my SUV towed in to them about how long would it be before he would be able to tell us what was wrong as well as how long he thought it would take them to fix it. He told me that they would check it out and that he would do his best to get back to me by 5:00pm that same day. I also asked him for the phone number of a tow truck company, which I then called. The tow truck driver couldn't have been any nicer either, and had my car being loaded onto his flat bed truck by about 11:30am. He delivered my SUV to Mike D a little after noon. My husband picked me up from the parking lot where I had parked when my SUV died and then we went on to where we were meeting several friends for a birthday lunch at 1:15pm. Not too long after we arrived for our friend's birthday lunch, we received a call from Mike D with the info about our SUV's problem. We told him to start the repair work and that we would come to his location after we finished our meal. We were able to pick up our repaired SUV before their closing time the very next day. I have never had my vehicle die while I was driving it and have to be towed before. In spite of the anxiety of having this happen when there was somewhere that we were expected to be very soon, I knew after I had talked with Mike D and met the tow truck driver who carefully loaded my SUV onto his flatbed truck and was going to take it to Sunset Auto Imports, that anything that had caused my SUV to die, would be professionally repaired, and my "baby" would soon be as good as it was before any of this had happened. It is now 4 months later and my SUV is still running wonderfully. Whenever there is any problem (that my husband either cannot repair or does not have the time and/or tools to repair) with either of our SUVs in the future, we will always call Mike D at Sunset Auto Imports and take it there. They are always very professional and friendly. They put you at ease whenever you are there -- which is not an easy thing to do if I am having any problem with my SUV.

I have used them a couple of times. They were terrific! I was very happy with them and I have recommended them to other people. They are not the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive. Their prices are reasonable. They did a great job. They were very responsive. In fact they even gave us a ride home and came back and picked us up. They got everything done on time. They had a guy on staff that only works on Mercedes, that's his expertise, and that's what we needed.

Very personable service. I have high miles and needed the entire vehicle checked out, we went over various potential problems and worked out a plan for future repairs. This will be my repair shop in LV.

They finished the work quickly and most importantly they were completely honest. There was one thing they could have worked on and charged me for but instead found out that there was a voluntary recall on the problem. They printed out all of the paperwork to take to the dealership so that I wouldn't have to spend a cent on it. I'll use these guys again whenever the next auto issue arises.

They got us in right away, diagnosed the problem, got the parts needed and did the repairs. They were very prompt, courteous and professional with a job well done! Thank you little Mikey!!

Very nice guys. I get the impression that it was a quick, easy fix. Something along the lines of tightening the connections to the battery cables. They did not charge anything, the impression was that the next time we encounter serious trouble we'll come to them for service and frankly I'd be inclined to.

I brought my 2002 Impala in to diagnose a problem with the fan for the heat/ac not coming on, the cruise control not working, and other electrical type problems. They billed a flat diagnostic fee regardless of how long it took to figure out the problem, which I liked. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a failure in the electrical system behind the ignition and gave me an estimate to repair it. They also told me I needed from brakes and gave me an estimate for that as well. I had them go ahead and repair both. They were extremely professional and friendly. I trusted them and would use them again in the future.

Appointment was made, problem diagnosed and repair undertaken. Everything was done in a professional and courteous manner. The cost and repair time were both less than expected. We recently located to the area and will continue to utilize Sunset for our auto repair needs.

The found that the master and slave cylinder needed to be replaced. They did that. Also they found I had 2 power steering hoses leaking which I also had changed. Picked up the car on Friday and I thought that the clutch adjustment was off. I drove the car that weekend and found it just not right. Took it back on Monday and they again went through the adjustment procedure again, and this time it worked. I guess it all goes through the computers now days and is no longer mechanical. In any case they where very professional and I highly recommend them.

Straight shooter / repairs and recommendations

They checked everything and told me I did not need new brakes yet. They did let me know I needed new tires and what maintenance I could use in the near future. They were so prompt, pleasant, and the fact that they did not charge me for doing the checking was a very pleasant surprise. They definitely have my business.

They were awesome. They were on time, friendly, clean and helpful. We liked everything about them. We had no complaints. We found them off of Angie's List and we pulled the 10% coupon and they even took that. We would absolutely use them again in the future.

They are great. The price is reasonable I was expecting to pay way more than what they charged me. They are a really good honest company.

I haven't had any issues with them. Mike is the owner, and he has always been very professional, and there was this issue one time when they got a wrong part from the suplier. As soon as they found out, they called me and let me know, so that I didn't return my rental car. He is very punctual, the pricing has always been good, if not fair. He goes above and beyond, and he doesn't try to rip anybody off. He helps you understand what is wrong with the vehicle.

Better than I expected - based on my dealings with out mouto repaidrservices.

Initial appointment was quick and easy with MD. They took my car in and I had it back the next day. After they inspected the car I was told that I still had 40% left on my brakes and so nothing needed at present. All other work was necessary due to mileage on vehicle. My car now runs very smooth and quiet with the new belts and pulleys. All in all I found Sunset very professional and friendly. I will definitely return. One note: They did charge me $32.00 to rotate my tires and I normally have it done at my tire store for free.

I was driving a 1996 Buick Century. From the moment I got it there were problems. First the AC didn't work and had the dealership handle that. But as more problems occurred I began to use Sun as they were cheaper and closer to my home. I can't remember all the repairs that Sun fixed. There were many. The major repair was the transmission which upon telling Sun I needed the car for 2 years they agreed to warranty the tranny for 24 months . More issues began piling up . The car would chug chug and die until the vehicle gained speed. So they replaced the fuel pump. That worked for a short while then the problem kept recurring. Finally it was isolated to a short in the electrical system. After this was repaired everything worked properly. I drove the car home and when I tried to open the drivers side door it wouldn't open. The linkage inside the door had broken. This was the straw that ended my relationship w the Buick. This car proved to be 4 wheels on the road that sucked more money out of your pocket with each passing mile. I have since purchased a 2013 Prius, but all the work Sun provided was done methodically, correctly and professionally . I would say Sun did everything in their power to fix each problem that arose. I just got sick of throwing more money down an unfillable hole. The irony is that the person who purchases the vehicle (with full disclosure on its previous problems as well as current problem) will fix the drivers door and drive for the next few year w/o a problem. I swear I think this car put a curse on me.

The staff was professional and courteous, but the repair took a bit longer than they had quoted due to the number of vehicles they were servicing that week. Overall, I was satisfied with the work they did and I will do business with them again in the future.

They did not over charge me. They said they could recharge the air conditioner verses replacing it by putting more free on in. It did not work the first time but I took it back in and they did it again for free. They recommend I recharge it each year verses installing a new one because it is an old car. They also installed an axle. They did a really good job. I had a friend who tried to do the work and they messed it up. They fixed it for me. They also picked me up and drove me home so I did not have to wait there. They are very professional and very nice. They work together well. They do their best to do a good job and ensure I am satisfied.I liked their service.

I've used them a couple of times. Auto repairs are expensive but their prices were reasonable. They have pretty good customer service. They have a real friendly staff and seem to be pretty straightforward.
