The service went well. The gate was primed before I came home as promised by the contractor. Rudolf ( the contractor) was very professional.

Did a great job. On time, friendly, quality work.

He came over quickly, looked at the gate and told me the price to fix the problem. He explained he needed some special hardware and stucco patch so that water would not enter the walls. It's up and he even fixed it so it sat a little higher and no longer drags on the pool deck.

Arrived exactly as scheduled and ready for work. Went the extra mile to make my shutters look good and even repaired them when they fell apart. I could have kept these guys for several more hours. Did a great job.

Rufolf was excellent. On time, friendly, very professional and a great standard of work. Highly recommend this service. Would definately use again.

Provider was in area when I called for quote. He reviewed the problem and was able to fix the gate the same day! Very prompt and reasonably priced for same day service. Professional and was able to provide advise for future improvement's..

I called SDH when one of my smoke detectors started beeping. It was up on a 17 foot ceiling and I couldn't get to it. He was here within 2 and a half hours of my call and was able to install 3 new detectors and change 2 batteries in no time! Also was able to give me estimate for another job I need to have done soon.

Rudolf was very thorough and professional. He provided all the materials and labor as requested. He was prompt and worked vehard. The portion of the iron fence that he re-cemented is better than the original work. His prices were very reasonable. I would definetly use his services again

Two handymen showed up. They were very professional and put a mount on the wall for me and a desk together for me. Pricing and professionalism is A plus!

Rudy and his assistant Anton arrived on time and efficiently and carefully removed televisions from their wall mounts and moved them, in their vehicles, to the new location. They worked efficiently to reinstall the tvs and installed the lights as well. We depend on Silver Desert Handyman and have never been disappointed. It is always a pleasure to count on Rudy and his assistants.

By the time I had arrived on site, the gate has been repositioned, repaired and repainted. I wouldn't say as good as new because it was a poorly designed gate to begin with. I will say, it works better now than it probably did when it was new. We were also going to use him to do some work in our garage, however, we had to rethink that project and so we put it on hold for now. However, when we figure out a new solution we'll call Rudolf again.

Everything went very well. They worked quickly and I was very pleased with the results.

Rudy has been our go-to handyman for about 2 years now, since we found him on Angie's List. He gives you a fair price, he's honest, always does a great job, and he doesn't dilly-dally or waste any time. I like that attitude that he's like me, efficient and very professional, although it does seem that he's always in a rush and can sound like he's curt sometimes. But we don't stress about it because we know that it's just his accent and the way he speaks, and he is actually nice and funny. On this job, he came over as we explained to him what we wanted to be done, and so that he can also give his estimate and explanation on how the job will be done. We still consulted with other providers just to make sure that we are still getting a good price, and were happy to find out that although he wasn't the lowest bid, it was still a fair price, and with Rudy we can make sure that the job is done right the first time. We've dealt with bad service providers before, and we don't want to deal with those nightmares anymore. We were able to schedule the job within a week after the estimate, and he was there on time with his partner. They used electric sanders, ladders, and plastic to protect other parts of the house including the ground from the dust and paint. They also used top-quality paint from Frazee. They even repaired some of my fascia that already had cracks on them, and I thought that I had to totally replace them. Rudy did a lot of the job himself, while closely supervising and inspecting the work of his partner. He cares about the quality of their work so he makes sure that it's done right. They also cleaned up after themselves as usual. He also gave us advice on how to maintain or repair some more things in the house, and advice on which ones are worth repairing or if we are better off replacing them altogether. Rudy is a top-notch handyman, and we will keep relying on him for multiple things that need repairing or customizing. We highly recommend him for quality, price, professionalism and reliability!

All the work was done to my satisfaction. I have been counting on Rudy who sometimes comes with his assistant Lee, no matter how small the job may be, for the past 3 years.. Rudy always responds quickly to my text messages and is pleasant, efficient , and knowledgable. His prices are fair and his professionalism outstanding. I especially appreciate that he responds so quickly if I think something is "an emergency" like a shrieking intercom system. After calling him, I had the courage to open doors and flip switches which turned off the noise, but when he arrived, he did not make me feel foolish and we had a nice laugh together. He insisted there was no charge for that call,

Silver Desert Handy Man... specifically Rudy, did an EXCELLENT Job for me! Rudy showed up on time and ready to work. Rudy knows that time is money and I had 2 different projects for him to work and he worked on them both at the same time. 1) I had to fix a hole in my dry wall after having to run speaker wires in my house. 2) I wanted to install a portable A/C unit in a room in my house that is always hotter than the rest of the house. Rudy could have started #2 first and finished #1 and left, but to make sure the job was done right. That is, to make sure the area matched the rest of the wall you need to make sure it dries first and then knock off the dry wall treatment. It just can't be done correctly if you don't wait for it to dry. Frankly, I wasn't aware of this until after the job was done and Rudy didn't mention it until later, but I mention it because I want everyone to know in "Angie's List Land" RUDY HAS INTEGRITY AND DOES THE RIGHT JOB THE FIRST TIME! Rudy works fast and doesn't rest between jobs. He explains what he is doing while he is doing it and doing a good job seems to be a part of his DNA. Don't be shocked if you hear an Eastern Block accent when you talk to Rudy (found out it is really Rudolf and he is Czech), his accent tells me Rudy doesn't solve problems by just buying a new one, he is a person that knows how to make things work and work well, with what is on hand...To me this is a valuable trait in a handyman!

It was easy, fast, efficient. Service was completed int he same week of first contact, even though they had to manufacture parts to the job. Very professional.

It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Coupon purchased was approx. $200.00 for 4 hours. This provider brought another worker, which was fine except that provider didn't show up when he was supposed to prolonging the job, hiking the price up asking for more and more money before he finished the job charging me over $800.00. They Insisted the rails be replaced and thus removing all of the handrails taking them "home" to their "Shop" without permission. They cut the new rails way to short and put them of crooked. It was at that point they were fired. I was horrified and had to HIRE another handyman to redo and fix everything that Silver desert handyman did. I would never recommend this Silver desert handyman. Horrible!

We got their number from angies list. The reviews were helpful. I called Rudolf and we set up an appointment to see the work needed and give me a price for the work. Rudolph came to our home on time, examined the job site including the gate. We had to have some junipers removed first to give the workers room. Rudolf gave me the estimate which we agreed on. We had the plants cut back to give the workers room and I called Rudolf to schedule a date and time. He and two other workers worked nine hours without a break. The iron fence and the gate show amazing workmanship. They used a welder at the site and to say it came out wonderfully well is an understatement. I would call him again for anything he might do. They do a number of different types of jobs. Boy are we pleased!!!

Due to an emergency as the cross beams separated in my court yard I e-mailed them on Saturday and they responded immediately and set up an appointment for Monday morning at 9:30 am. They arrived promptly at 9:30 looked the situation over and gave me an estimate of the repairs. They went to pick up the necessary parts and started the repairs immediately. Rudolf and his helper were very well versed as to the necessary repairs to make the beams safe. Very efficient and the clean up was done to perfection. We discussed other repairs that I need to have taken care of and will call them in two weeks to make the appointment for these other repairs. Would definitely recommend Rudolf and his crew to anyone needing repairs to their home.

In the past, this gate had been secured by chain and padlock, which had to be replaced several times due to people using bolt cutters on the chain. I purchased an extra secure hasp and padlock and needed someone to weld the hasp onto the gates. I called Rudy and left a message. He got back to me shortly after that. I told him that I knew that this job was outside of his work area, but would like for him to consider it anyway. He said that if I gave him an extra $15 for gas, that he would do the work. That seemed fair enough to me, so I agreed, and we scheduled it for a couple of days later. Rudy showed up on time, and did just what I needed him to do. In casual conversation while he worked, he told me that he had been a certified welder since the time he was 17 years old in the Czech Republic, and his welds showed that experience. We didn't discuss it at the time, but based on the tools he had with him, he does a wide variety of home repair projects, and I would guess that he is every bit as competent at those as he is at welding. At any rate, I took some photos of Rudy at work, some of which are now posted on his website.

I am changing my overall with Silver Desert Handyman Service to an "A" Rudolf the owner has gone way out of his way to get the problem with the coupon taken care of. I am very impressed with Rudolf's response and am very happy with all he's done to take care of the coupon problem. I would be happy to use him in the future when I need Handyman work done as I told him. Again, please change my overall rating to "A" Thank you Sincerely, Rick Wise

I needed various home repairs; some small jobs like changing broken out light bulbs, and some larger repairs to exterior doors. Rudolf was eager to get started, and changed light bulbs for me the first time he came over to give me estimates. He did a good job with all my various repairs, stuck to his original estimates as much as possible, and made sure I was satisfied when the job was completed. Rudolf was easy to get ahold of whether phone, text, or email. He gave me a referral to a specialized local company for an unhinged shower door, because he knew they would have the parts and expertise to fix it. I priced similar jobs with other handymen, and Rudolf gave me the best price for most of my repairs. For one particular job, tearing out and old wooden fence, I was quoted a cheaper price with someone else. I asked Rudolf if he would come down in his price, and he did. He also broke down the fence into small enough pieces for the trash man to take away, took the pieces to the street, and filled in the holes from the post. I appreciated Rudolf?s efforts to stay within my budget, his eagerness to complete the repairs I needed quickly, and to my satisfaction.
