Nick and Pedro came out to quote the job. Within two days, my husband and I had the quote. Albeit, the quote was more than we wanted to pay, but we were willing to give Nick and Pedro a chance, as they seemed VERY confident in their ability, and they DID NOT disappoint. As the patio ceiling was installed, my husband and I had some concerns and wanted a couple of issues reworked, and these two men were Johnny on the Spot. They took their time in doing a quality and efficient job, which proved to be more difficult than they had anticipated. The main problem being was that we had a previous contractor who messed up our patio area, and the stucco/framing that was done wasn't what one would call straight or level. Therefore, each ceiling board had to be scribed to a different length. In addition, each board was eight feet long and our patio is ten and a half feet deep, so Nick and Pedro had to cut additional boards to complete the additional length, as well as matching up the pattern. Not only did these guys do this, but did a quality job and finished ahead of the projected schedule. Throughout the project, my husband and I were kept informed and knew exactly what was going on, and what to expect. They were very thorough, efficient, had regard for job site cleanliness and debris during the construction, and cleaned up well after the job was done. They went over all the aspects of the job, including the costs of some extra materials that they had to buy and even called us the following week to let us know we had over paid, and that a check was already in the mail! There is NO QUESTION in our minds, that we would ABSOLUTELY hire Premier Design and Construction again. Nick and Pedro, thank you for our wonderful ceiling and the professionalism that is so difficult to find in this town!

The guy's name is Nick. They bought it to code because it wasn’t to code. First of all, it wasn’t the design that we had talked about. Second of all, he had to cut into my concrete. It's just ridiculous the amount of cuts that this guy made. On a patio, we have pillars and they should all be uniform within how much is in between each pillar. They should be equally spaced. I have three pillars that are equally spaced, and then I have two that are less than two feet away from each other. The original bid was close to $5000-$6000. The price was more than that. It was just a ridiculous thing. I trusted him. He was doing work while I was at work. When I came home, I wasn’t thrilled. Now I got a patio with all these cut lines in it. He dug up the concrete to put footers in. I get that, but then he dumps the extra concrete. He washed his concrete thing out and just dumped it right in my backyard. Now I have got piles of concrete debris. It's not like I can rake it up, blow it off, wet it down or get it aired until I dig it up. I asked him to clean up the nails because I've got grandkids. When we have got all these nails everywhere, it's ridiculous. It was a really ugly deal. He knew that I wasn’t thrilled. At the end, I just wasn’t pleased with it. With regard to quality, I just don’t like having two pillars two feet apart from each time. With regard to responsiveness, he was there every day. That to me wasn’t an issue because I was at work. I know that some days he didn’t come till he took his daughter to school. She was off on Fridays, so he didn’t come on Fridays. I get all that. I just wasn’t happy with the end result.

The small door in our garage has NEVER fit correctly. Finally, after almost 12 years and some attempts on our own to trim the door, we called Premier Design and Construction. They promptly came over and then e-mailed the estimate. We hired them, and arranged for a 5/27 work date. They called the previous Thursday and said they could "do it tomorrow morning". GREAT!! They showed up on time, got right to work, involved several iterations of removing the door, trimming, then reinstalling. They also adjusted the latch so that it closed properly and even fixed a sticky deadbolt on the door so it now operates smoothly. Touched up the paint and trim around the door. Good job, cleaned up everything. Very professional and friendly.

Very professional demeanor. Did cancel several times and reschedule but we understood as weather can change schedules. My husband was home for all appointments. We were both wondering why primer was not applied to flashing. We left for 2 weeks right after the work was completed. After completely dry checked for quality, stucco did not match, not completely covered by the paint, excess paint on newly painted rails not cleaned up, irregular look to deck coating, pillar still slight movement (was told it should not move at all), uneven pillar top. Had our first rain, deck coating bubbling up, standing water on deck. I called today and left a message as the last problem with the rain is not acceptable. Pictures are available. Update 6-4-14: Premier was very prompt in returning my call. They came out and inspected the problem and set up a time to start repair today. They explained that the product they used has never failed in the past, will correct the situation and alert the company that produced the product. I will update as I want to improve the rating for quality. 6-9-14: We paid $700 to upgrade the deck coat. It is looking much better. Premier came this morning to do more touch up which wasn't done well last time. They will come back in a week or so to put a coat of deck paint on as some areas have dark spots. Update 9/12/2014...Major cracks in deck after the last rain. Update 1-23-15...Major cracks and standing water across the whole deck. This nightmare does not stop and is costing thousands of dollars to repair the major mistakes. We have pictures. This is a tragedy. We have spent over $5500 repairing what this company did. I tried to download picture of "Premiers" work so far it has not worked. If I ever get them downloaded I guarantee it will be shocking.

Their job looked great. They are good. Overall, they have an A. I am also going to use them in the future.

They did the work and they did it right the first time. If they did make an error, they corrected it right away. They were extremely neat and tidy and their bid was fair. I had another problem in my garage that they could not fix, but they used somebody that could help me and that particular person did a good job. I asked them if they could do my block wall and they were honest and said we are not experts at this and you really need to get an expert block wall contractor.

They are very responsive and thorough. They don’t have control over any sub contractor that comes in so they are always present and don’t hire other people and leave.

Nick and Pedro are the best! Before we even got started, they stopped by twice to go over everything in order to make sure we were all on the same page. In just a weeks time, we had a new hardwood floor, amazing custom build wainscoting and crown moulding in our nursery waiting for our first child. They were always on time and even worked on their usual off-day in order to get the job done so that we could finish getting the rest of the room ready for our little one. They did an amazing job and everyone who has seen the nursery is in awe of how amazing it looks. Thanks guys!

This review was written after a relatively small repair job, but I have used this company for years for a variety of work including removal of leaking sliding glass doors, and repair of water leaks into my home. Mr. Zubia has always been responsive, communicative, fair, and has done excellent, high quality work. All of Mr. Zubia's work fixed the leaks, he completed the work in a timely fashion. I would recommend Mr. Zubia highly. Indeed after over two years of having multiple contractors work on my home, I would rank Premier Construction at the top for quality, timeliness, no-surprise, courteous service.

After a previous carpenter company that we had set an appointment with was a no-call, no-show, we chose this company due to the high ratings on Angie's List . We called this company on January 18th. We explained to him that this was a small job and they confirmed that it was no problem (No job too small was in their advertisement). After they got all of our information including our address and phone number they said they would come out January 26th at 10am to make the repairs. On January 26th, we made sure everything was cleared out and ready for the work to be performed. 10 am went by...11am went by....noon....NO CALL, NO SHOW. About 3 hours later we get a call from them saying that they missed our appointment and said they would be out tomorrow instead. We declined as we did not feel too confident that they would show as they did not show today. We are VERY disappointed. This company had such high ratings and even had the 2013 Super Service award on Angie's List. With service like this....How? A simple phone call saying that they could not make it today would have sufficed, but not 3 hours past the time of the appointment. Unprofessional.

Nick and Pedro are awesome! They came out and gave me an estimate for the work I wanted done & not only did they do that but they offered suggestions/solutions to improve on what I was requesting. They're both very professional, this was a multiple day job and I requested the work be done on Saturdays...Nick & Pedro were very accommodating and very thorough in their work. I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work and would not hesitate to hire them in the future. I highly recommend these guys

These guys are amazing. We called them this morning because our doorknob broke and we could not open our garage door. They know that this was a somewhat urgent matter so they came that very evening and fixed it. They were here for 10 minutes and had it all fixed. They are reliable and very professional.

Came out as agreed and surveyed project. Went away, gave estimate 2-3 days later. Finished job in one day. Work satisfactory. Problem was the material cost was 50% over the estimate. I was upset because they had been to the job site, knew what was required, had ample time to determine material costs closely (all material purchased at Home Depot) and yet submitted a 50% overrun. These people are experienced, so either they didn't bother to check prices closely or else what? By the way, all the material costs were for the exterior door replacement. The other smaller project was labor only.

I was so pleased with the last time I hired them, I had to call Premier Design & Contruction, LLC again. Nick and Pedro arrived on time. I explained what I wanted done and they went to work. They picked up the material and installed the pavers within the set time. They were very professional. They cleaned up the area of all extra material. I was very pleased with the work and will be calling them again.

This is the first vendor I've contacted from Angie's list, around 7 now, that was actually on time. Very pleased. Both Nick and Pedro were very professional and helpful. They provided excellent suggestions. The quote came in within the time period that Nick and I agreed to, however the quote was a little too vague for my preference. They were quoting on installation of tile that I would purchase (about 400 sq ft for $4K, installation only) and baseboards for my 1st floor (around 250 L/F for $2,400). Nick was very willing to help, but I thought his pricing was a little above market in these two areas. To Nick's credit, he did provide me with alternative contacts. I'd be interested in working with Nick & Pedro in the future if the pricing levels were more competitive. If he's willing to give me future quotes on the remaining projects that we discussed, I'd be very interested in getting his bids and hopefully we'd be able to work out a deal.

My stove had stopped working. I had called Premier Design & Construction to get a quote on how much it would be to pick up and install a oven. They were very promt in answering the phone and returning phone calls when placed. Nick and Pedro arrived on time and were very professional. They had picked up the stove from Lowes and insalled the same day. The workarea was cleaned after the installation. They also removed the old stove. We were very happy with the job they did. We will for sure hire them again. Thank you.

Mr. Zubia and partner came to give me an estimate. I made it clear that I was seeking other bids. This estimate was on August 26, 2013. I did not hear a word from him within a week and hired other contractors. Three weeks later on September 11, 2013 Mr. Zubia sent me an e-mailed estimate which was not even within the price range of the competing bids PLUS, the materials were not included. Popcorn ceiling removal (1869 Sq.Ft. home) $4750 and to paint it $1900 extra. I am having that done AND the whole house painted AND kitchen cabinets refinished for $7,000 by a licensed professional paint company. Remember, Zubia's estimate DOES NOT INCLUDE MATERIALS!!!! Baseboards: $2400 for the whole house. I had the floor guy do them for $1600 Install 6 new closet doors: $1200. They are about $92 each at Home depot and it involves popping them out and popping in the new ones. My brother in law is doing them for a nice steak dinner. Install new interior doors and one garage pedestrian door: $1700 (DOES NOT INCLUDE MATERIALS) I am having all 8 replaced AND 3 frames redone: $1175.00 Facts are here for all to see. All my contractors are licensed folks from Angie's list so it's not like I got the yellow pages handyman for the competing bids. There were some additional things I asked Zubia to estimate but based on the price comparisons for the jobs I have already hired, i will not invite him to do the work. Sorry Nick, but that's all she wrote.

Nick & Pedro came to our home and gave us a quote and a time frame to build us a home theater and a workout room. Their quote was quite reasonable and the time frame worked out great for us. They also arranged to have the Building inspectors to come and inspect in a timely manner. We were very impressed. We would highly recommend them for any type of work needed

The reason for this? Time is money, and I asked the duo mentioned above for a quote for the comprehensive remodeling of two properties. I was completely open to listening to what they thought it should cost, but after having to continuously chase them down and finally receiving a vague quote, inclusive only of their work, to which I responded with a request for a detailed quote that covered the many items we had discussed in person - all I got is broken communication and weeks of delays. To make a long story short, they wasted my time after I didn't accept their attempt to pull a fast one with a vague price quote for unclear deliverables. Time is money, and if a contractor doesn't make the effort to respond with a detailed quote at the point of sale- it's safe to assume the deliverables are even worse than that. If you want reliable, responsive professionals - go elsewhere.

Nick showed up on time and went straight to work. He had me check each thing after he finished it to be sure it was to my satisfaction. I asked for a modification to a hole he had drilled and he made it without complaint.

Seriously, I'm from Montana where service is pretty good because word spreads. These guys were fantastic. They are extremely professional and so nice to have in the home. Their work is fabulous and they said if anything isn't perfect to just call and I know if I did they'd be here the next day (or that day). Thank you Angie's List... These guys deserve an A+.. Thanks guys for all of your hard work and for keeping the dust to a minimal and then cleaning up as much as you could without having to dust the house! Nick and his partner came out the day after I called and installed a new door and frame in my bathroom area. They also removed a door and created a doorway instead. They were professional and did a nice job.

They found the leak and did the necessary things to correct the problem. They showed up on time and cleaned up their mess. They were real professionals, I have used them before and will use again if needed. As a woman, sometimes waiting for repair people to show up you do not know if you will feel comfortable while alone in the house with them. Nick and his assistant are true professionals and I felt very safe and comfortable. Thanks Nick!!!!

Very professional. They responded quickly to my call. Went to the job site and had a quote within the week. They started shortly after our meeting. Kept us updated throughout the process and finished on time. (They were working during the heat wave and never missed a beat.) Met again when the job was completed with all the paper work , a sample of the sealer and pictures of the damaged areas that needed repair. "Impressed" They were working on one of our rental homes and were very professional and kept the renters updated on the whole process. We own three homes, two are rentals. We plan on calling only " them" to do any work needed in the future. Won't have to think twice. You can't go wrong with these guys.
