Computer Medics

The tech came right on time...Was very professional, nice... Gave me some bad news though. My hard drive was bad. He took the hard drive out and told me where to go to get it transferred so I could put it on a new computer. He even told me what to look for in a new computer. Since I have MS and my memory is shot, he wrote it down for me....This tech was extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend them. The price is right. And you get outrageous service.

Promptly answered the phone, promptly arrived at our home. He took care of the systems and had them up and running quickly.

I have used services from Computer Medics several times over the past few years. Their service is excellent. Mike is their technician that services my computer system. He is prompt and professional. He is extremely knowledgeable and competent. He always takes time to help me to understand how avoid some of the problems. I highly recommend Computer Medics.

They were called Monday AM and we at my house a 2PM. New computer was delivered and installed Wednesday afternoon. Very efficient service. I am not very tech savvy so going out and buying a new tower would have been difficult.

Computer analyst came on time. He could not ascertain what was actually causing the problem after 2-3 hours. Took the machine to the office and returned it on schedule. Computer is working great. The total price was fair considering the time spent.

I thought it was expensive for the services that were performed. They charge by the hour. He is a good guy. He checked for viruses and got my computer ready for school.

I can log on quicker and go to my programs quicker.

When I called the company they were prompt in getting someone out to my house on my schedule. When Mike arrived ( on time), he went right to work, He answered all my questions, (even the stupid ones)and did not make me feel like an idiot! Mike fixed all these problems in one hour, I was amazed. I will call them anytime I have a computer problem.

It went good from start to finish, the repair man asked if he should take off his shoes, what more can you ask for.

First thing I did was go to Angie's List and liked what I had read about Computer Medics so I called them. Steve listened to my issue's and we set up an appointment the next morning with Mike. Mike was here at the exact appointed time and was very personal and professional. Explained what he was doing and why and the end result is the computer is up and running as it should be. I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for computer help.

The IP address had changed. He was here in five minutes and since I work from home I needed that. He charges on a hourly basis. He was here for just two minutes and he was great.

Appointment time was between 1-3PM. arrived exactly at 1PM. Was able to over come the same problems that I had by using the wireless mode. This model just does NOT like hard wire inspite of the instructions. Tech was able to intall and remove all Mal-ware within 1 hr. Sorry that I wasted all day Saturday trying to install it myself, even with my superior knowledge. Next time I get caught up spending more than 2 hrs on any computer problem I'll call this company. My time is more valuable then $79.00.

Awesome. I place a lot of emphasis on how problems that come up are resolved. Computer Medics (particularly Mike) get an A+ in my book.

I had three issues with my computer and they were all handled brilliantly. The tech who came to my house was Larry and he was superb. If you are looking for someone to come fix your computer, these are your folks and Larry in particular. If I could give them a A+, I would have. I sleep better nights knowing that I have someone I can call to fix my computer.

I had bought a new Linksys router for my computer, so I could have a wireless connection. The tech seemed very good and fast. I had tried to connect it and couldn't. It took him maybe 10 minutes to connect it and it worked fine yesterday afternoon. This morning, I turned on my computer and tried to connect to the internet and got a dialog box to the effect that I had no connection. I unplugged and replugged all the wires, reset the router and DSL, and still could get no connection. I called the Computer Medic and they had the tech call me. He had me change a few settings and told me to make sure the wires were all plugged in tight (which I had already done). I still could not get a connection. He said the router is no good, you need to take it back to the store. I said it was brand new and it had worked fine the day before. Then he said he could send a guy out with another box. There was no way I was going to buy a box from them when mine was still brand new. I gave up and reconnected it with a long wire, like I had it in the first place. I was very disappointed in the service. I felt he should have came to the house and checked it at least.

i wasn't able to get on the internet on one of my computers. after spending about 2 hours on the phone with the cable company and not solving the problem i called computer medics. Mike the tech came out the next day, he did some trouble shooting and pinpointed the problem to an error in our anti-virus software. Mike corrected it and cleaned up the junk on our harddrive, as well as loading a program my son was unable to load.

Computer Medics did a great job. I called on Thursday, they showed up that afternoon. Took my computer with them and returned it fixed the next day. That's what I call service. I was happy with the Tech Larry who came out and would recommend them to anyone.

My external hard drive died with all of my pictures, music and documents. I had no back up. I took it to Best Buy where they pretty much said it was dead and they would have to send it off and charge me $1500+ to disassemble it in a clean room. It would be 3-4 weeks. We called Computer Medics. They came out the same day and took the hard drive to check it out. They were able to recover the data the next day and charged me a fraction of what Best Buy quoted. I realize that they didn't have to clean room it, but Best Buy wouldn't even try other options. I am so glad I looked around and called them rather than caving in and paying Best Buy an arm and a leg. Great local service that was extremely quick.

I called Saturday morning and they were able to dispatch a technician that same day. He called beforehand to say he was on his way. Very punctual, professional, and qualified. I was impressed with the quality of service and it was an extreme benefit to have someone come directly to my house instead of having to take my hard drive somewhere. I've already referred this company to my Dad who needs computer assistance.

It was a very pleasant experience and I was thrilled that my two laptops were working again. i thought I was going to have to get a new one. It is a very bad time for that, financially ,with me.

Our laptop wasn't working, and we had recieved a couple of estimates that would require us to drop off the laptop for a couple of days. We didn't feel comfortable with that idea, so we looked on Angies List and called Computer Medics. They were competively priced (even better with the Angies List discount!) and they restored our laptop to working order. Lawrence was prompt and polite and very professional. He worked very hard to reload our computer information (it had been wiped by a virus) including having to call the manufacturer since we no longer had the required disks. Not only did he restore our laptop, he also saved the drives on our flash drive in case we need it for the future. He also recommended and installed a better protection system (since our last one had failed so spectacularly). Before he left he also reinstalled the printer and asked if there was anything else. He assured us if there were any other problems to call and they would assist us immediately. We are highly impressed and will reccomend them to our friends!

The overall experience was great. Tech was onsite the same day...on time...and gave me options as to what would be the most cost-effective route to take. He fixed the problem; and the PC has worked great since. I don't see this type of service very often these days...

My hard drive failed and I called Computer Medics, based on the reviews and grades I read on Angie's List for the company. The service tech was friendly, punctual and to the point. I had called around and all other companies told me they charged about $99 per hour of service for laptop repair but Computer Medics charged only $79 per hour. My hard drive was damaged too badly to be repaired in my home so the technician had to take it to the shop but was able to retrieve my data there, and then he brought my laptop back to me. I liked how I didn't have to go anywhere and they don't charge for the travel time. He initially came to my home on a Friday and by Monday the work was done. I recommend this company.

A friend had referred a local person who fixes computers out of his garage. This person took my hard drove fixed the problems that were occurring but failed to tell me that he had installed certain files and programs that I found to be at the very least annoying and often disruptive. This person was unavailable right after he finished this job. Finding myself angry and frustrated, I decided to join "Angie's List". It was the best decision I ever made. I chose Computer Medics from the list and called the next morning. The voice that answered my call was just as pleasant as one could expect. I told her that I had found them on Angie's List" and she told me that I would get a discount off their service rate. She sai that she had a technician in my area, that he was presently at a service call and that she would call me as soon as he was finished and on his way to my house. I told that was fine. Within 5 minutes she called back and said the another technician had just called and that he too was in my area. She asked if Mike could come over now. That was fine. Mike rang my bell about 5 minutes later. He was most pleasant, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He listened to my questions and concerns. He explained why could make certain things work the way I wanted and why he couldn't make other things do what I wanted. His patience with me being a very picky person was amazing. Overall I would have to say WONDERFUL, GREAT, etc. Would I call them again? No doubt about it. Absolutely YES!!!
