Despite this, an estimate was only given after the completion of 80% of the work. Although full payment was made at that time, the contractors promised to return with additional materials to finish the job but never did. Furthermore, a subsequent estimate to complete the remaining 20% of the work was quoted at $950, which was unexpectedly $100 higher than the total already paid.
