The high estimate cancelled out everything else

Had to call back owner for second visit for him to finalize what he committed to do. Some lines still not repaired despite owner's assurance. Owner indicated some plants were dead and should be removed but that proved untrue when same plants leafed out, so his claim of knowledge of landscape plants can't be trusted. On the plus side, 90% of work done correctly and timely, his workers were helpful and responsive, his prices very good compared to others.

Bill and his entire crew were professional from start to finish. During the estimate, Bill was able to offer several helpful ideas and suggestions. The quality of the work was excellent and took place over three days. They did a nice job in terms of working with what was already in place in order to save time and cost. We are very happy with our new extremely low-maintenance yard!

I called Mr. Whelchel after 6 pm on the Friday before the holiday very concerned about an apparent leak in my sprinkler system. He was very kind and had an employee at my house by 11:00 am the next day. The employee determined what the problem was and made a temporary fix. Mr. Whelchel didn't charge me for this service as I will be using his services to redo my patio area including moving the sprinkler system to another area.

The work performed was of high quality, but getting them to do the work was very frustrating. On 5/02/09 the sales representative promised the job would be performed within two weeks and completed in 1 day. After not hearing from them after almost two weeks, I called and was told they would do the work no later than 5/26. When I came home at 11:30 AM on 5/26, the existing rocks and plants were gone, but so were the contractors. After 1:00 I called to find out what was going on and was reassured they would return later in the afternoon to complete the job. No one showed up. I called again on 5/27 at 9:30 AM and was told by the sales rep that the truck had a flat tire. I called the job foreman to get an estimate of when the job would be completed and he said his truck was broken but didn't know what was wrong. I asked if he could get another truck and he said he would check with the owner and someone would call back. No one called back until the following day (5/28), when another crew was sent to complete the job.

The crew came when it promised. The superviser made sure of what we wanted done and made sure the crew would do it that way. The crew was professional and hard-working. From time to time, crew members asked us questions to make sure they were doing what we wanted. The new plant material was even better quality than we had hoped. The supervisor comes back to make sure that all was done properly and to get paid. One bush was not centered properly, but the supervisor corrected it on the spot. Touch of Paradise is the most responsive and professional landscaper that we have ever engaged.

Bill and his staff were the dream team every homeowner hopes to have when they hire a contractor. From day one, they arrived promptly, were extremely knowledgeable about their jobs, and demonstrated extraordinary pride in their workmanship. They cleaned up every day, and were attentive to any changes or questions that arose and would consult with me on every new phase to make sure we were pleased with the progress. The job was estimated to take between 4-6 weeks, they started on the 22nd of September and completed on October 30. Every sub contractor recommended by Bill held the same high standards, (gas and electricity). I cannot express how pleased my husband and I are as we enjoy our new living area day and night. Our neighbors have commented on how lovely it is and have asked for Touch of Paradise Landscape information. My husband and I rate this team a AAA!

Work was done as promised. Workers were professional, clean up was immaculate and crews came when promised. Sprinklers were repaired and replaced. Smallest details were taken care of in a professional manner. I highly recommend this company.

They always returned my calls, came when they said, and gave me good advice as to what plants would thrive. I am thinking of having them back again in the next year to put in a water feature.

A TOUCH OF PARADISE HAD VERY NICE AND POLITE PEOPLE WHO CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY ALSO GOT THE JOB DONE QUICKLY AND WERE VERY EASY TO CONTACT. I WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH THE COMPANY.
