 + 1 moreEverything was done as discussed previously. Only glitch was we mixed up out days. Work was performed well and neatly. He did have to come back to make an adjustment on the patio door at no additional charge.
Description of Work: Repaired linen closet door, patio door handle and repair vents that were falling out of the ceiling.

 + 0 moreTotally satisfied. Terry is professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. Older home supplies (like thresholds) are not always available and Terry had to adapt the repair accordingly. I felt very comfortable with his expertise and would certainly recommend him.

 + 0 moreHe was great! His price is very reasonable and he is clean. When he came out to do the estimate, he told me how long it would take, what time he'd be here, and it was on the dot. It was like he said that he'll be here at 8:30 and it will take him 2 hours to do the job and that was true. He cleaned up after himself, very friendly, and I highly recommend him. I called him and he was just leaving for a family emergency. He explain to me that was a bad a bad time but he promise that when it wasn't an emergency, he'll get back to me as soon as possible. He figured that it would probably a week time. It was fine with me and a week later, he calls up and he was very apologetic.
Description of Work: We have issues with cluster of the walls cracking and separating so he repaired that. He also fix a door jam.

Terry is very professional and has always made me feel like he puts his customers first no matter how much he has going on. I would be happy to have him work for me anytime.

 + 0 moreIt was great. He is just super honest. He gives you several options. He went ahead and took all the measurements and ordered the doors but then I went ahead and paid for it. I called the place and paid for it myself and the shelves that he put in. The price is very reasonable.
Description of Work: I used Terry Ostrom for carpentry work. He did two jobs. He put new doors and shelving in our laundry room.

As it was a small job and the 4plex where the drawer is located was not far from Terry's house, I dropped the drawer off at his home and picked it up a couple days later. Terry used 3/4" plywood to completely rebuild the box portion of the drawer. It is now very substantial. Excellent work, and a very very nice person to work with. Highly recommend!!!
Description of Work: Particleboard box section of a large deep kitchen cabinet drawer was badly damaged so drawer was unusable.

He saw areas that needed caulking that I had not noticed and he did those also. He did a very nice job, left everything clean, and did all the work in two hours. He was relaxed and pleasant to be around.

He also gave me good advice regarding construction methods and suggested a sub to paint the door so that it appears to be a wood grain stain. It turned out very nicely.

 + -1 moreIt was excellent. I plan to use them in the future for anything I need done. He is on time. He calls when he is running late. He goes and gets the materials that he need. He would tell you exactly what he need. He will say: "I am going to get this particular screw, because this other one doesn't fit." And he will show you. He will go and do what needs to be done. He is dependable and he does excellent work. Everything that he has done in our house, we have just shown off with pride to our friends. His quality of work is excellent. I would highly recommend him to anybody. He is going to do more work for us as soon as the weather gets milder. He does a little bit of everything. It is hard to find a good handyman like that. His price was good. He was very reasonable.
Description of Work: I have used Terry Ostrom Carpentry. The last time he reinforced the stairway in the house. He put up a new banister to go up and down the stairway. And he removed some cabinets.

 + -1 moreThe crew worked well in our environment, they handled working around our dogs quite well. My wife and I both have some health issues and daytime napping is likely. Terry's crew worked around those issues. The work was completed in a very reasonable amount of time and to our expectations. They were careful, left a clean worksite and were accommodating to our special needs and circumstances. They were considerate of budget and financial issues and made recommendations for saving money on the repairs. I would recommend them with out reservation.
Description of Work: I contacted Terry for estimate in late February, outlined some aspects of the job on the phone. He indicated willingness to stop by for estimate on following Saturday afternoon. We had a conflict and asked for a reschedule. He said he would call when in area. Terry came by within a week and evaluated the various tasks and sent an estimate by email. The estimate was reasonable and we accepted the bid. He set a schedule and took two days to complete the jobs. Repairs of older places and remodels always have lots of unexpected issues that can't be evaluated until you get into the job. You need someone who is experienced and can adjust to what they find on the job. Our job included several different tasks, repair of a hole in a bathroom wall in a difficult spot, painting the bathroom after the repair, replacement of rotten deck boards, replacement of old storm doors and replacing worn weather-stripping on several doors. Terry used a helper, Chris, on the first day and worked alone for the next day. The crew handled all the tasks well. Replacing doors and hanging them properly is a challenging job and benefits from experience. I was quite pleased with the results they achieved. The doors are air-tight and fit well. Terry consulted with me about options when he encountered unexpected issues and often had alternatives to suggest.
