Description of Work: Terry removed a wall without breaking through the finish of one side. He widened the opening of an old door and then installed a sliding pocket door. He finished it all including a remarkable job of matching the texture and color of the original walls and door and he added tile to the floor where the wider opening required it. I did have more of the original tile available. Every night he tidied up and the finished product looks like it was installed in the original house. He and his crew were very pleasant to work with. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

 + -1 moreAll the work he did was professional. He also knew his limitations which we appreciated. Terry would be contacted again when we need work done. He was prompt, courteous and fair in his charges considering he had to come back several times because of time constraints. Well done.
Description of Work: Terry tarred and sealed the vent pipes on the roof where we suspected a leak. The area of ceiling on our patio that was affected by a water leak was opened up by Terry. He found a pipe that was leaking. We called a plumber. While Terry waited for the plumber, he repaired two door locks for us. After the plumber did his work, Terry replaced the ceiling panel and textured it.

He was upfront with that assessment and didn?t charge us for that. We were happy with him and would use him again. He seemed to know what he was doing and he was very quick. I would use him in future.

 + 1 moreMr. Ostrom showed up at the agreed time (very prompt), gave his estimate of the required tasks and how he would do them, took measurements, contacted the appropriate vendors, got prices, then called with them for the final estimate. When we agreed to go forward, we placed the order, set the date and time for installation/repairs. We collected the gate from the vendor and bathroom door from the other vendor.He started the bathroom door first and when it was done, the whole family was so impressed with how beautiful it was--and it was. The job was so beautifully, professionally, quickly done. The next day he returned to finish with the back gate, side gate, dryer vent. When we didn't have a shop vac for the bulk of the dryer lint, he got his own and returned to finish the job. In one full day's time (two half-days), our bathroom door is in place and is perfect, the side gate locks once again, and the back gate isn't sagging and dragging and causing me anxious moments. The added plus to all of this is that we aren't being steamed out of our house because of the blocked up dryer vent pipe--so wonderful!
Description of Work: Did a great job repairing a wooden piece and lock on a side gate. Went to the vendor, brought to our house and hung a very large back fence utility gate. Went with me to the vendor and brought back to replace a bathroom door with a pre-hung solid wooden door. As an extra service, Terry cleaned out a dryer vent pipe (on the roof) of an accumulation of several years' worth of lint.

 + 1 moreThe work went well overall. He did a nice job with the storm door. It closes well. Some of the cabinet work was a two-person job so I provided lifting help at a few key points. He was easy to work with and very responsive to my concerns. He was sensitive to avoiding collateral damage to adjacent walls and ceilings and also seems to share my thrifty attitude.
Description of Work: Terry hung a storm door that I had purchased separately. He also removed a six-foot set of kitchen cabinets and re-hung them in the garage.

Description of Work: This was a big job! I had a lot of dead space in my closets and garage. I wanted to make better use of both areas. I told Terry I wanted him to redesign all my closets because I wanted them to be more organized. I had some ideas of what I wanted, but then Terry gave me some ideas and suggestions that were fantastic! He used up every inch of space including corners for shelves, rods, drawers, cubbies, you name it...he even made me a special area in the closet with hooks to hang up all my purses and a cubby area to store all the shoes. I no longer need dressers because I can fit everything in my closet! The biggest surprise was how quick he finished the job. He finished 4 closets, shelves in the bathroom and shelves and racks in the garage in one weekend. I've never been so happy to write out a check for this amount. I'm already making a list of other things I want done around the house because I know it will get done right and get done quickly! You've got to try him before I put him to work again.
