Terry Ostrom Carpentry

Terry Ostrom was very punctural and professional in completing this project. Unlike myself in writing this review. Terry arrived and went right to work carefully removing the old door and jamb. He had picked up the new door and jamb on his way to my house. He slipped the new door in and shimed it to square and anchored it in place better the the original had been. He reattached the interior trim. He added the new pine trim to the exterior of the jamb and sealed it. He filled all the nail holes and it was ready for paint. He cleaned up and left the area free of any debris. I will use Terry Ostrom for all my projects beyond my capabilities!!! My wife was very pleased with this new door.

Hard to schedule because he's busy. A little casual in demeanor and appearance, but his work was well thought out, well executed, thorough, and exactly in line with his estimates both for time and cost. Would use him again in a heartbeat.

I will use him for sure next job.

Terry did a good job. He vacuumed up after finishing the project which took only 39 min max. He does have a base charge of $80. I will call him again.

He never returned my calls. The least he could have done is returned the calls to say he was too busy or didn't want to travel to my area. Very unprofessional

He was on time, was competent and professional. I am happy to find someone so competent at fixing things. I plan to ask him anytime I have a project to do.

I only wish that I could give Terry an A+. He was such a pleasure to work with. He was able to easily fix a myriad of household problems from a disconnected water plug to fencing that was pulling away from a wall. Terry is honest, hard working, focused, intelligent, and reliable. He did his work quickly and well and even made a trip to Lowes to get necessary supplies. By far, Terry is the best handyman I've ever worked with and I'll be using him for all future services.

Terry is a fantastic carpenter and a very pleasant, laid-back guy. He was punctual, and his rates are very reasonable. He undid some amateur carpentry mistakes I'd made in trying to hang a door, and gave me some professional pointers. He's my go-to carpenter from now on, because, really, when am I going to actually learn how to do this myself? Highly recommended!!!

Terry did a great job. He worked the better part of the day on the house. Everything looked great. Terry is an extremely nice man and easy to work with. His price is very reasonable. But he stays pretty booked up so schedule early to get a date.

Relaxed and friendly, knew what he was doing and had great ideas. If Angie`s List makes me do the same thing twice I will stop giving reviews. Your system is tedious, repetitive and anoying

Terry contacted me the same day I first phoned him. We scheduled his work a couple of weeks out because he had other commitments. He arrived promptly as scheduled, worked very efficiently and is very much a professional. He is also a problem solver! We will definitely be calling Terry for our next projects.

He arrived on Monday morning to start the work and when things did not work out as he had planned he toke the time to correct the solution

Terry gave us an estimate. He was prompt showing up, pleasant to work with, his estimate was promptly given, and his costs were low. We did not contract him but may call him for other work in the future.

He stained the 3/4" rounds before he got to my house, which I appreciated. It took him several hours for this big job but he came prepared and worked continuously through the day. He is polite, professional and takes pride in his work. I would recommend him to anybody and will definitely use his services again in the future.

He came over the same day I called even though he was on vacation. He explained what he would do to fix the door. He went and purchased all the materials needed to replace the door and the security door. He was prompt, price was reasonable, and the work he did was great.

Prompt, efficient, did a very good job. Very nice person. I have scheduled other work with him based on my first experience with him. He is customer focused, very clean - a true professional.

I contacted Terry along with two other companies from Angie's list to replace my falling down picket fence in the front yard. After getting quotes and having a few conversations, I selected Terry. My experience with his work was outstanding! I decided I'd like to have a more custom fence rather than just replace with another picket style. I drew out some options and sent them to Terry to look at. After some discussions about the material and final design, Terry provided another quote reflecting the changes. Even though the work was now based on a custom design, the price was quite reasonable. He and another man started work as scheduled, tearing down and hauling away the old fence. The next day Terry returned a bit later in the morning. He had to go to several lumber stores to get the quality of redwood he found acceptable. He also made some suggestions for a change to the post end cap, based on another example he had seen. Although I had sketched out my concept for the fence, Terry had to flesh out the details necessary to make it realistic. I really appreciated his willingness to make adaptations (always consulting with me) to create the best product at a reasonable price. The results was outstanding, and more than I had hoped for! It completely complements my home and adds a tremendous amount of curb appeal. I've had many complements from neighbors and visitors. I love driving up to my house. Terry also returned to help me stain the fence, which turned into a major effort. I've included pictures of the end product. Overall, the quality of Terry's workmanship was first class. He gave me receipts for all material and completed all the work in a timely manner, including clean up after the project. Along the way I found Terry to be ethical, pleasant, and professional. I have used him for additional work and Intend to have him help with future projects. I would (and have) recommend him to others for a variety of projects.

Well done in all aspects. I really was completely satisfied with his work. He was always there when he said he would be and worked a full days at a steady pace. His craftmanship and skills are excellent.
