Terry Ostrom Carpentry

He was really fantastic! His name was referred to me by another Angie's List person. His work was really, really, really good, it was excellent. Everything was excellent. He did what he said he would do and actually he did it for less money than what he originally estimated. I would highly recommend him.

Terry is smart and a great communicator. He is direct, honest, comes when he says he will, returns phone calls, works hard and is very skilled. I'm very happy to have found him on Angies List.

Terry arrived on time and fixed a number of outside doors that we couldn't close because they had settled. He was polite and worked efficiently in freeing the doors so that they close properly. Will hire him for future handyman services.

I am writing this on my wife's account. Terry came over and took measurements of the fire door and estimated the repair to the pocket door with just one phone call. He showed up (!!!) on time and friendly. The B/S factor was 0.0. He explained what was needed, and helped me figure out the best and cheapest way to get the required tasks done. We scheduled for about a week latter (so he could get the fire door cut). He showed up just when he said he would (!!!) and did his work. Fixing the pocket door took some relatively major surgery on the door frame. He took it apart, fixed the door and put it back together. When he was done, it looked like it had never happened. I'm very impressed by this guys work and his demeanor. I highly recommend him. Mark Chouinard

We've hired Terry before for several projects in the past and once again he did outstanding work for us. He suggested several options for modifying the sink cabinets for wheelchair access. We have to purchase replacement doors for the sink cabinets and Terry again suggested several ways to get these doors replaced. He went over and above in working wiith our mailbox. He showed us problems with the mailbox and suggested several ways to make repairs. We like Terry very much and definitely will continue to hire him in the future.

Terry was excellent--professional, courteous, and careful. He did beautiful work. I will be using his services again--appointments are already scheduled.

His work is meticulous and he did the work in a very professional manner. Because of his efforts, my house really looks like a home now. Hanging doors is an art form and Mr. Ostrom has mastered that art. Old adobe houses can be a challenge but my home was well within his expertise.

He gave us quick estimates, he showed up on time and did a terrific job. His quote was very reasonable. We were very happy with his work. He replaced the doors and their frames one day and then came back the next week and painted.

Terry is terrific. He is polite, kind and honest. He called me when he was on his way, as he promised, and showed up on time. He worked hard the entire time he was here. He repaired everything so it's back in working order, to my satisfaction. I definitely would use him again, and recommend him.

He was prompt and professional and was able to complete all jobs by 2 in the afternoon. He had to put in two supporting posts for two gates in the fence. He then sealed the window frames on two windows that leaked in rainstorms. After all the rain yesterday...no leaks! He also cut down a kitchen drawer that couldn't be used because of a new range that extended out into the kitchen and blocked it. He matched the wood and grain perfectly to the existing cabinet frame.

He did an excellent job of it !! Terry was prompt and thoroughly professional and receptive to input ideas. He made it exactly as we wanted. We will hire him in future projects.

Terry was amazing. Our doors have never looked or worked better. He put new weatherstripping on exterior doors; new sweeps on all exterior door bottoms. All interior doors were clearcoated, reinstalled and adjusted. Every door in our house now works like it was meant to. Needless to say, we are extremely pleased with this craftsman. We highly recommend him and would definitely re-hire.

He is extremely busy. He lives on the other side of town. He informed me the next time he is by my home; he will give me a call.

After asking a few questions, Terry was able to quote me a price on the first phone call. He came out to measure the old door just to make sure, then made arrangements for me to purchase the door from a 3rd party vendor here in town. fHe showed up on time the day of the scheduled install and installed the new door without any issues. He completed the work in a couple of hours. He showed me the finished product and made sure I was satisfied. It looks really great! I will use Terry again if I need him.

He did a wonderful job. Terry is efficient, competent and pleasant. I would recommend him to anyone. He will say if you ask him to do something that is somewhat beyond his expertise.
