Cost came in under the estimate and they didn't charge me tax for the work.

All went as promised and expected, excepting the price, the price was a bit too high.

They did a very good job, they are very nice people. They discussed options and seemed very knowledgeable. My husband is an electrician and he used to teach AC and electricity and he was very impressed with their knowledge, suggestions, asking questions and asking with what he would like and what they thought would work best for us living here in Texas. I liked the way they worked, they got the work completed and the people they used to make sure the electrical passed were very good. I didn't have any problems with them at all. I think they were priced very reasonably for what we had done. I have grates in the floor that the air comes in as well as some new vents they put in and I haven't noticed much difference in my bill, just the comfort of my home. They cleaned up very well everyday even though they had to come back the next day and they answered any questions I had. They would always tell me when they were coming, they were always punctual and they worked and took normal breaks. They were industrious people. I had a leak from the monsoon season and they came right out and checked everything out and said they'd be happy to come back out if it ever happened again. They were very professional. I had a whole unit installed on the roof and they removed a gas heater and turned it into a storage closet which was included in the price. I have two disabled children who don't like people in the house and they were able to work without disturbing the children. The way they worked it didn't bother my children which I thought was amazing, they usually don't like the prescence of people but they were not intrusive at all.

"Affordable" was hard to pin down in terms of rates on the phone, that should have been our warning. Just about all they said was that they'd waive the $69 service fee if they did any work. The workman came, did some sniff tests, sprayed a soap-like solution & couldn't find anything. That's all OK too-- it could be the cooktop range after all (it doesn't have a pilot). The workman was very professional & I have no complaints about him & his work. Then the bill-- $150 (plus $10 tax)-- that puts the work charge at $450 an hour. Where can I find work that pays me that? You can do much, much better, if you're looking for a plumbing service. We won't be using them again.

I received an estimate from a co-owner of the company. We had some issues getting the new equipment which they failed to pro-actively call me about. Once all of the equipment was available, their crew did a very good installation. They did a very good clean up of their job sites and hauled away all of the trash and old units. Some of the job, at least to my eyes, was very difficult and cramped, there was no complaining and no corners cut. I had a minor problem with in a day of installation being finished (this was a large job). I called the lead installer (he had left me his card) and he came the same day and corrected it.

I had to call them three or four times to get them to give me an estimate. Then they finally faxed an estimate. They were punctual the first time they came to appraise the job however.

My experience with them was excellent. They did a super job. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and it worked wonderfully after they did it.

Since this was a retrofit job, holes needed to be cut in my existing floor(hard wood and tile) for the new vents. No plastic was put up before grinding the holes in the tile, and this threw dust EVERYWHERE!! They also cut 2 holes in my tile in the wrong places even after we discussed where I wanted the vents placed. Then they acted like they were doing me a favor by not charging to move these vents and fix the floor. I actually had extra tile for the kitchen floor to be repaired with, but my bathroom floor still has a hole that's covered up by the garbage can. I just wanted them out of my place so I didn't bother with pushing the issue. They never even put down any tarps to protect my floors with. We were doing some work on the house as well at this time because we hadn't moved in yet. I'm not sure if they figured that someone else would clean up after them before we moved in or what? Either way, a professional crew doesn't handle things in this manner. Also, two of the vents had the flexible ducting fall off of them shortly after the job was completed(they returned to fix these). Basically, it was horrible all around. I'm not even really happy with the way the system performs. They definitely should have added a vent or two to my bigger rooms so the temperature would be a bit more consistent throughout the house. I've even adjusted the dampers on the vents to get more airflow to these rooms and its still not quite right. I also question the amount of return air my system gets and wonder if there should be another vent for it somewhere else in the house? They were actually supposed to give me 2 separate return vents according to the original estimate, but it didn't work out for them to do it this way. Anyway, I'm no HVAC expert so take these comments for what they're worth. I see that lots of others are happy with this company, but my experience was nothing but bad.

Excellent results from installation of furnace! Good workers! Problems, problems because cooling by refrigeration and compressor unit wouldn't work right. Several return trips until finally replaced compressor.

The owner, Bill and his son, Noah came out a week before the installation and provided many different price quotes for switching our swamp cooler to a refrigerated air system. We ended up opting for one upgrade on the furnace, and so received a free whole-house duct cleaning with our order. Bill and Noah were very thorough in their explanations of each option, and answered our many questions with care and competency. (This included questions regarding financing options, as we knew we couldn't afford to pay out-of-pocket for the switch!) Just one week after Bill and Noah had come out to offer us some quotes, the nice service guys arrived to do the work! (I was impressed with this quick scheduling, as we were already in the super-hot days of June.) All of the guys who came to the house to work were quiet, thoughtful, diligent, and cleaned up after themselves once the big job(s) were completed. They thankfully removed the swamp cooler from the roof, as well! The whole process took an entire day, and the details regarding the thermostat were explained to me clearly by one of the installation men before they left. (Oh, and the air conditioner was installed on the roof of the house--ours is a flat roof--so that it could be more efficiently connected with the furnace.) Most of our neighbors had used Affordable in the past when they'd switched from swamp cooling to refrigerated cooling, so Affordable's reputation was already outstanding around my neighborhood. I now can wholeheartedly add my recommendation of Affordable's services to anyone else interested in spending the summer in refreshing cool splendor, instead of humid, swampy nonsense. : )

The estimator was on time. The installers were on time. I was very pleased with how quickly (2 hours) and professionally they did the job. They cleaned up after themselves, it actually looked cleaner than before they got there. I thought the duct cleaning would leave a big mess, but it didn't. They showed me how the furnace worked, how to clean the filter, went through all the paperwork. They even insulated the duct work which was something that hadn't been done before. I was very pleased with their work and would use them again without hesitation.

They were great; very careful with keeping stuff clean, and they even changed my furnace filter.

They were little expensive, but we were very pleased with the work. They were on time, friendly, and made sure to answer all of our questions. The work was done in a professional manner and they were clean as well.

AFFORDABLE PLUMBING DID A GREAT JOB ON MY WASHING MACHINE. THEY WERE ON TIME AND GOT THE JOB DONE RIGHT AWAY. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED WAS REALLY GOOD. THEY ALSO EXPLAINED EVERYTHING REALLY CLEARLY.

THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE NEW AIR CONDITIONER THEY INSTALLED SO THEY CAME TO MY HOME AND REPAIRED IT. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DO EXCELLENT WORK. THEY ARE ON TIME.

THEY CAME OUT IN NO TIME AT ALL TO DO THE WORK. THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB OF GETTING RID OF THE OLD FURNACE FOR ME. THEY ALSO GOT ME GOING IN ONE DAY. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE THEN.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE OF THE COMPANY. I LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY CALLED. SET A TIME, AND STUCK BY IT. THE OVERALL WORK WAS PROFESSIONAL AND I CAN'T COMPLAIN.

I GUESS THEY WERE OKAY. THEY HAD A LITTLE PROBLEM WHEN THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO DISCONNECT MY SOLAR HEATER. IT TOOK THEM A FEW DAYS TO HOOK UP THE FURNACE AND WATER HEATER, BUT THEY DID GREAT WORK FOR A GOOD PRICE.

THEY WERE PUNCTUAL, RELIABLE AND HONEST. THEY DID A FINE JOB INSTALLING THE SYSTEM. THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPLAINED TO US EXACTLY HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB, AND THEIR SERVICE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY CAME AT A DECENT TIME AND WERE VERY NICE. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCT.

THIS IS A FINE COMPANY THAT DID VERY GOOD WORK. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND POLITE. I THINK THAT THEY PROVIDED VERY GOOD SERVICES AND WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR QUALITY OF WORK.
