+ 0 moreTom and his assistants arrived promptly as scheduled, were very polite and got right to work. They began troubleshooting our outlet problem and soon tracked it down via our panel and GFIs. They installed the ceiling fans and outdoor lights. Tom also answered my many questions about the electric system in our older house. They did great work and the price was more than fair. This is the service you want for your lighting and electrical needs.
Description of Work: We needed two ceiling fans and two outdoor light fixtures put up. We also needed troubleshooting for one room where none of the electric outlets worked.

+ 0 moreTom did great, very friendly on the phone and advised on the kind of fan we should look for at the store. Once we got the fans in, scheduled with him for a good day/time. He and his helper showed up right on time and had all the equipment needed to do the job. Work was done great and he had very good suggestions to help make the fans work as we need Job finished ahead of schedule and they did great cleanup and job finish. This was something I could not have accomplished and also something we have wanted for several years.

He explained clearly what he was going to do. He was very upfront as to the cost of the job (which was very reasonable.) He explained clearly what the cost would be if I wanted to upgrade my system. He also was very clear as to the quoted price of other projects that I was interested. Very good service. I definitely recommend his company.

He was also able to help me figure out my house's complicated electrical wiring, which was very old. I felt like he was looking out for me all the way through the process. Rather than being a number with some bigger corporation go with 4 B's Electric, probably the best electric company in town. I will be using 4 B's Electric for all of my electrical needs.

Description of Work: Electrical meter box was pulling away from house due to poor construction (attached to untreated 2"X4" nailed directly to siding board by builder). Needed to have the power turned off, the box removed, the mounting board replaced, the box put back in place, and the power restored by the electric company.

Two electricians were required to install the track high up on a wall, requiring the use of ladders. There was an initial problem with the track, which they were able to trouble-shoot. At the completion of the work, they cleaned up the area. We will definitely consider using them again if the need arises.
Description of Work: 4B's installed a track for a truck light system in our kitchen/dining area. We supplied all the parts: 8-foot track, track-end connector and light fixtures.

Description of Work: This was a special offer through Angie's List. I submitted everything by email, and Tom called me the next morning. We needed a ceiling fan repaired - the light came on but the fan wouldn't turn. Tom and his helper, Jordan, arrived exactly when they said they would. Turns out, it was the switch on the wall and they replaced it quickly. Then we asked them about a remote control for another fan, since there was time left on our deal. They took a look and recommended replacing it. A quick trip to Home Depot, and voila, we have two working ceiling fans!

+ -1 moretook 2 trips for them, one to identify problems and come up w/solutions, then to return w/parts. they went the extra mile for the convoluted back patio outlet. Seems the "neutral" wire was missing! mice? anyway, they used an outlet on the inside of the home in the proximity of the outside outlet to complete the job & protected the outlet from the weather. The lamp bulb area was aged, cracked and dangerous. they replaced it.

+ -1 moreHe arrived on time. His assistant changed the light bulbs while he looked at the light. It turns out that a wire was hanging down really close to the light bulb and was probably overheating and shutting off the light, so nothing really needed to be done. He recommended we change the light bulb to LED, since it does not give out any heat, which we did last night.
Description of Work: I called 4B's on Wed. to see how much it would cost to replace a can recessed light that was going off by itself. Another provider had quoted $175. They were running a special on Angie's list for 2 hours of service for $110. He said it would only take 15-30 mins. but would only charge me for a service call. I also asked if he could change out a few light bulbs on a really high ceiling while he was here. No problem. I made an app. for the next day.

They were both very kind and looked for the most cost-effective solutions to our challenges. -- The same day, we also had a team of 5 painters inside our home and our house with clogged with ladders and obstacles. Tom and his assistant were very accommodating and adapted to the situation with grace and ease. We will definitely be calling Tom again for our electrical needs.
Description of Work: We had a number of strange wiring issues in our new home - from a kitchen outlet incorrectly pulling off a 220-outlet, a ceiling fan light that would only come on when the fan was a full speed, a light switch that turned on multiple lights at the same time, etc. These were all driving us crazy and 4 B's came to the rescue.
