Sun City Plumbing & Heating

The technician, L.D., was so knowledgeable and professional. He explained, in detail, what he would be doing to prepare our unit for the upcoming months and why the maintenance was necessary. He compared the paperwork and fee that he had been given by the office to what we had been quoted so that there were no conflicts or questions before he began any work. He took a quick, precise tour of the inside of our home to verify where the filters, vents, and thermostats were and then went out to begin on the unit. The work took a good hour but L.D. worked efficiently and steadily the entire time. When he completed the job, he once again reviewed what had been done and let us know that he had found nothing in need of repair. The best part for me was that L.D. noticed that the main vent in the kitchen blew directly on to the stove. He didn't have to but he was kind enough to get up on the ladder, remove the vent, and reposition it so that it would blow in the opposition direction. If that isn't going above and beyond I don't know what is. We have purchased a "systems care plan" with Sun City Plumbing & Heating.

That was also very good. I have known about Sun City Plumbing & Heating for awhile. I did not use them before, and I decided to use them this time. It was a very good decision. Their pricing was pretty reasonable. It was a fairly intricate problem. They had to check to make sure whether there was a leak or not, and then, they had to design a replacement for it. It was all done very professionally.

When something Sun City Plumbing & Heating was unacceptable they came back and he took care of it. I am sure he was dealing with subcontractors. They seem to know what they are doing, they do good work, and if something was wrong they took care of it. I had this $10,000 unit and I wasn't cool, but they got it taken care of. The price was okay. I don't know if I got the exact comparison. Once everything was fixed the quality was a okay. After I talked to them their responsiveness was okay. It got complicated, but they took care of it.

Heater failed to produce hot water morning of 1-15. Mid morning I called for appointment, provided appointment window of 11/2 hours, and the name of the technician (Travis). 1/16 Travis called 5 minutes before the appointment window opened, asked for a discription of the problem, and the model number of the water heater so that he could bring the right parts. 15 minutes after the appointment window was opened the technician arrived. He secured the electrical system and then explained what he was doing (replacing both heating elements and the tank drain valve), He maintained a clean and safe work area. The parts were replaced and he insured that the water heater was working, provided maintainence advice, and made sure the area around the heater was clean and dry. This was a great customer experience:Timely contact, on time for appointment, professional appearance and demeanor. Cost was in the range of what I expected to pay for quality service. I got what I paid for.

As luck would have it, the sink leak was discovered the day before Christmas...not an emergency since we were not entertaining at home this year. I called and arranged for service today between 1 and 3 pm. Travis, the plumber, arrived at 1:30. The scheduled repair (a part needed to be replaced) was completed quickly which prompted me to inquire about changing a bathroom sink fixture as well. Unfortunately, the necessary part is not routinely stocked on the truck so Travis made a quick trip to Home Depot, returned with the part and installed it. He finished around 3 pm. We were very satisfied with the service provided.

Very pleased with work. System has worked fine since repair. Have signed a contract for ongoing maintenance at the church.

Of course, as is always the case when the problem is "a funny noise" we couldn't recreate the noise we were hearing when the tech arrived. However, the service tech did a checkout of the system and noticed that the furnace filter was not being held in place correctly when the blower was on; apparently either a manufacturing or initial installation error. He added proper hold-down clips for the filter, checked out both the furnace and the air conditioning units, gave us some suggestions about keeping the system running in top condition, and did it all in about an hour. And we haven't heard the noise in the furnace since then, so he was exactly right about the loose filter being the source of the noise. Overall, he was courteous, helpful, prompt, and very knowledgeable. Not only will I call Sun City again for heating and cooling issues, but I'll also call them for any plumbing issues I have, as I'm confident I will get the same great service in either case. Highly recommended.

Well, they were not responsible for the part the failed and then re-railed.

A represetative came to give us an estimate. He carefully explained our options and what rebates we would be eligible for. We argreed on a system and an installation date. The work was done on time, efficiently and with very little interruption to our daily life. There were no surprises. We would use this company again.

It went very well, the price seemed a little high, would have been better if I had asked for the "Angie's List" coupon it would have been more in line with what I expected to pay.

Great service. Will utilize this company for future projects or problems with AC, Plumbing, etc.

We are very happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone at least for work on the swamp cooler as that is our only experience. Just having them show up on time puts them head and shoulders above many of the other companies we have used in town over the years. I am glad I found them on Angie's list.

Very good and very professional. Some of the work was needed because we originally hired an unlicensed person. Due to that experience...we had to pay Sun to clean up and redo what the other "repairman" destroyed.

He showed up at 2 pm for an appointment that wasn't supposed to be until 4 pm. He was careless and went on the roof without the owner home. I am not sure if he even did the work. I don't know if he put the proper air conditioning pads in. The tenant compained there was a strange smell. He tried to charge us more than we should owe. He threw the pads off the roof on the ground after he replaced them. The pads left white calcium spots all over the ground. He didn't bring a broom and the tenant had to clean it up. He was careless bringing down sheet metal pieces. They are expensive and they are now bent. He was unprofessional. He put in a pump without asking me. He wanted to take the purge pumps with him and I had to insist that he leave them. They are $120 a piece and he would have just kept them. They wasted a lot of my time. I would like company owner to come out and check the work.

Last year a different plumber, Paul's Plumbing, installed cheap brass valves that froze and split at the seams. After calling Paul in to assess the damage, he claimed there was nothing wrong with the valves he had installed and he would not stand by his work. He said that it was somehow our fault for the damage. That's when we called Sun City. They installed heavier brass valves with heat tape wrapped around them to protect them from freezing again. Sun City completed the work in one hour and charged somewhat less than Paul for the same work even though the parts were more expensive. We also had Sun City install solar hot water two years ago that is working perfectly. They are professional, on time, and courteous.

They did a great job. They were very responsive, polite and professional. Everyone from the office staff to the technician were easy to work with and attentive to our needs. Their pricing is competitive as well. I would highly recommend them for any and all plumbing or cooling needs.

They're awesome. Really fast and accurate estimate. Actually charged lower than the estimate. Would definitely hire them again. Completed the work in a few hours. Absentee owner so it's really important for me to be able to trust service workers. They kept in very good contact with me and kept me informed about everything.

Jim Heath (estimator) coordinated all the work and checked progress daily. The 2 technicians did excellent work and cleaned up each day before leaving. They also had some very creative ways of covering the refrigerant lines so they would not be exposed to weather. Jim and a specialist came back this winter to tweak the system for optimum heating. Overall, they did a fantastic job and were a joy to work with.

Overall, the project went great. Quick service. Very neat. Performed clean-up at every corner. Great service on subsequent call back for manufacturer issues. Would highly recommend this company.

Timing in construction as in anything is important. Sun City were always on time, worked efficiently and cheerfully even when confronted with a new toilet!

I would not do business with sun city again. If they can blow you off they aren't very professional

I'm very pleased with this company and with this representative.

I had them come to fix some gas leaks on a house I had just bought. Craig immediately saw the gas pipes around the house and went "whoa! Those are illegal." It's an older house and the pipes are just as old. He fixed one leak at a heater and told me the other was too old. Then, he ran a pressure test on the lines to see if they would hold gas. They definitely didn't. Craig was great. He told me exactly what was wrong and exactly what he was doing. He ended up condemning the gas lines and closing off my gas. Craig was great. The next day they got back to me with an initial quote and tried to get me to immediately accept it (now I think I should have done that). I told them I wanted to check around and get atleast one other quote. I got one other quote within a few days that was double what their quote was, so I tried to go back to them. I told them we wanted to go with them but that wanted to get an additional ten feet of pipe added to the quote so we could put in an extra heater, so I asked for an updated quote. A week later I still hadn't heard back from them. I emailed them again and the lady apologized and said she had sent the initial email to the wrong person. She would get back to me the next day with a quote. The next day no word so the following day I email her again. She had forgot Craig wasn't working that day and would get back to me. Two days later she said he needed to come back out to the house and make some measurements. He would come on Monday. All day monday I sit around at home instead of going to work so that I could let them in the house. No show. No response. Tuesday I email her and another person in the office again. No word until Thursday. The secretary was sick and didn't get back to me because of that. At this point, I had been without gas and a way to cook food for 4 weeks- granted probably 4 of those days was because I wanted to check around first. Other people knew about this and I had emailed other people in the office. There was no reason that I wasn't contacted by someone. No reason that I wasn't told not to wait around all day Monday. I think that these guys probably do very good work based on what I experienced with Craig, but their office is a complete mess. No one in the office knows what's going on and they can't seem to work together. I was without gas and a way to cook for a month because they couldn't get their stuff together. I eventually had someone else come and easily install the pipe in two days for half the price.
