 + -1 moreI had a difficult time contacting them, was texted accidentally twice with them thinking I was another customer, they recorded my address incorrectly, and were 1 1/2 hours late. The gentleman informed me that this was a losing deal for him and he was only doing it to get new customers.
Description of Work: I needed the flashing checked around vents, nails checked, and whether or not there was evidence of a leak from a vent.

 + -1 moreI was never called and after about a week,still no call to set up appointment. I.called Angie list and asked for and received a refund on the deal I purchased. Very unprofessional,if times were not good,why not call and let me know instead of making like who cares,we will get to it when we get to it. Will never hire this firm for any work.

 + -1 moreQuite obviously Mr. Nordstrom doesn't believe that customer service is important and he told me exactly that since I was not the one purchasing his services. I would never use or recommend his services - whatever the quality of his work.
Description of Work: Mr. Nordstrom was working on my neighbors flat roof carelessly shoveling the water (large quantities) and debris off so it was landing in my side yard. His attitude was argumentative, cocky, rude, mocking to me when I asked him to respect my property. Easy, small precautions could have been taken instead such a total reckless disregard for our property. .

 + -1 moreI bought the deal on 12/2, and when I hadn't heard from the company by 12/8, I called them. Tom was very apologetic that he hadn't called me yet, and we set up the appt for the following Monday. About 10 minutes before the appt time, Tom called to say he was delayed, and said he could be there about an hour late. That was fine. Once he arrived, he went to the roof and checked things out. He spent about 1/2 hour, then came showed us with pictures, what he had found and done. He did a lot of resealing and caulking exposed nail heads, and showed us a few problem areas that he didn't feel were big problems, and said our roof should be good for another two years before another inspection might be a good idea. We felt Tom was very professional, and glad that he was honest and didn't try to tell us we needed a bunch of unnecessary work done. We would definitely call this company again for our roofing needs.

 + -1 moreWe had a 9:00 appointment. At about 9:45 I called the owner on his cell. He said they were running late and he'd be there in about 15 minutes. At about 10:30 (so an hour and a half late), the owner and two workmen arrived. They were up on my roof for about 10 or so minutes. When they came down, I was surprised because they were up there so briefly. In the past, my roof maintenance people spent quite a bit of time, one to three hours. The owner showed me a small patch of debris he threw off my roof, told me my roof was in good shape. I said, You were only up there 10 minutes or so. He said, What do you expect for $99.00? The lesson I learned is a special "ain't" so special.
Description of Work: I chose the advertised special for yearly roof maintenance. The price was $199 but with the discount it was $99.00. After the owner and workmen were up on my roof and finished, the owner asked me to pay the taxes on the $99.00 because he said the taxes add up. I said I thought they were included.

He took pictures of areas that needed attention, and, with my concurrence, he repaired several cracks around the pipes. There was no extra charge for his repairs as he considered them minor and part of the maintenance package. I will definitely have him return every year to check on the condition of my roof.
Description of Work: I needed my roof to be inspected. I did not have any leaks, but I wanted to be certain that the roof was still in good shape.

 + -1 moreTom was great! He spent about two hours on our roof, drained pooled water, patched cracks in both roofing and stucco, swept wet leaves off roof and cleaned canales. He was also very sweet and respectful of my wishes that he take his shoes off indoors. He spoke with my husband, who has had a stroke and cannot speak back. We felt very taken care of and he gave us good news regarding replacement of our flat roof, that it would probably last another 2-3 years!

 + -1 moreGreat, Thomas' customer service is awesome. It sounded like he was busy in the background, but still took the time to address my questions in a professional manner.
Description of Work: Called to get some questions answered. I have contacted Thomas twice now and each time he has been extremely professional and spent time answering whatever questions I had. We were considering adding a reflective coating on our roof and I contacted SW Roofing and spoke with Tom. After explaining what our idea and goals were, he advised against putting the coating on our 3 year old tar and gravel roof. He stated he wouldn't install it on his house as it is not worth the money, however if I wanted to spend the money, he'd be happy to take it! It is a couple months later and we are thinking of installing an attic fan. We contacted Thomas and he stated that is something he would be able to do, and spent a couple minutes going over what I needed to look for in the fan, specifically since we had roof tiles. He also gave me a price to install it and when we decide to put one in, he'll be the one we get to do it!

 + -1 moreI purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List for $199 Roof Maintenance Package. The young man they sent arrived at 4:15 p,m. and left at 4:40 p.m. He showed up with a chaulking gun and went onto the roof. Before he even went up on the roof he told me it would cost $600 to fix the leak. He also indicated that penetration and leak were not the same thing. He went up on the roof and came down in about 25 minutes. (that included his arrival time, bringing the ladder up my long driveway, setting it up and coming back down). They did not do the work that the Big Deal description stated they would do. My house is 4000 square feet and there is no way that could have done what they were supposed to do in 25 minutes. The technician was very professional and polite and was very apologetic but this doesn't solve my issue.

Description of Work: Sealed areas that needed caulking between the house & metal roof. They also replaced screens (I provided the screen material) on several vents that showed some rodent activity. Workers shared information on how to keep metal roof intact. They demonstrated how the weathered southwest side of the roof can work loose & the screws have to be tightened periodically.
