service man was on time and did the job with no wasted time. Door works like new. I'd have no hesitation in calling again or recommending this company to a friend.

The technician was prompt, repaired my door opener well, had to order a part and came back and installed it and serviced everything great. He was very polite and friendly as well. He was able to make me a second remote door opener on the spot too which was convenient. The company is great and the door has worked perfectly since. It was a good experience. The company contacts you before and after to ensure your satisfaction with the technician.

I called and made an appointment for an estimate. The sales rep called to confirm and called 30 min prior to let me know he was on his way. I had already done research and knew what door I wanted. He gave me options and quoted a price which was approx what I expected. I called the next day (Thurs) and set up an installation date/time (Mon/noon). On Monday I received a call from the dispatcher that the installer had been delayed on another job and would be approx 2 hours late. These things happen and I had already taken the day off. The installer called letting me know he was on his way and arrived 30 min later. He removed the old door, tracks and spring. He installed the new door, tracks and spring, tested the door and cleaned up at the completion of the job. I had an excellent experiance and fully recommend Overhead Door of ABQ.

I was at work and the service man called to let me know the motor would need to be replaced and that my springs were also broken. He quoted me a price to replace the motor and convert the system over to a belt drive. I OK'd the work....only later did I wonder if I could have kept the current system and just gotten a new motor and springs at a cheaper cost. Since this was not presented to me as an option with a quote I will never know. I did OK the work but now I realize I should have asked questions -- I wish they would have presented me with the two costs upfront so I could make a choice. I also did not realize this meant my outdoor keypad would no longer be functional. Now our kids can't enter the garage as they have no remote. My husband arrived home before the work was complete and said the service man was very nice and professional. UPDATE: The management of Overhead Garage doors followed up with me about a week later. They expressed concern that I did not know my keypad would not work after having the systems switched . They understood the incomplete communication over potential choices and keypad were what led to my less than 100% perfect review. They took a lot of time to let me understand what they choices might have been and then came out to install a keypad so that my kids can now enter the garage when missing their house key WITHOUT CHARGE to correct the problem. I got the feeling that they truly did not want their work to be viewed as less than upfront or as shady in any way. This makes me far more confident in having made the right choice in what I did.

It went really fine. They fixed it and they haven't had to come back out so it was a good thing. The scheduling was fine. They came out very promptly. I had no complaints and nothing bad stands out in my mind.

The great thing was they came out to fix our door, and actually carried garage door openers on all their trucks so they could install a new garage door opener that day. It was very nice that they keep everything with them.

I bought the doors through Direct Buy so I got them at a membership price. They did a good job and had to do some extra work with the drywall to get the mounting brackets on. Instead of it being an overhead opener it is on the wall and they explained the pros of that; which made a lot of sense to me. They explained everything and how it was going to work. They were here on time, when they were supposed to be. They cleaned up after themselves, getting rid of all the drywall bits and that was nice; it was a good experience. When we have had to call and ask questions they have answered them politely.

The estimator came out promptly and we went over the work that I needed done. He gave me a brochure and told me that he would email me an estimate. That was the last that I heard from him. To be fair, I guess, I didn't make any follow up calls myself, I just went with another company based on a couple of word of mouth recommendations.

I have been using them for a while. They installed the garage door opener and did a good job. They seem concerned about me. When I called and said I couldn't get my garage door they considered it an emergency and got somebody out right away because my car was stuck inside. They were concerned about having good service. They are very pumped and fair in their price.

They came for the first time in July 2010. They are a reliable company. They are all over this country and that is a good reason to use them. The job went fine; they fixed the door for a year.

We had a very good experience with them. They were here twice. They lubricated the doors, and everything else was for service charges like $89 for truck and tool. For the materials they charged $15.50, labor was $10:35 and real tax was $8.00 and it is very expensive to lubricate the doors. We had used them in Indianapolis and it is a nationwide franchise. They came in July 2011 and July 2010. They are responsible and a responsive company. They came in when they said they would. The service people are pleasant and they do the work. They spend a little extra time explaining things, so we used them. They did come again not because they did something wrong the first time. You know how garage doors are and every now and then when something goes wrong I have to get some work done on to it.

They were prompt. When the garage door opener failed again, they were willing to come back promptly and reprogram it. The price was reasonable, the quality of work was good, and they were professional. I would use their services again.

They came within a couple of hours so that we could actually close the door. He was able to repair the old door at first so that we could get it closed and keep the critters out. Then we purchased a new door and they installed it beautifully. The technician was bright and incredibly resourceful. They were very responsive and were the first ones to get back to us. They were incredibly helpful and I would highly recommend them.

Everything is working perfect and he seemed pretty professional. I will use them again in the future.

Overall very well. The tech was very well versed in his craft, efficient and speedy. Had the parts he needed in the truck. Original appt. was for the day before but no one showed up. Called the office and the gentleman apologized, saying he's send some one out the next day. Tech showed up on time and was very pleasant. No big deal for me. Price wasn't cheap but not too much more thna I expected. Got my Angie's List discount too!

I loved this company the first time I used them. Second time - not so much. Had an appointment for the AM - they never showed up and never called. They finally called at 4:30 saying there had been "an issue" wanting to reschedule. Told them I had already made an appointment with another company.

They were good. The material was not good and it was cheap. It was not like the one they were replacing and it was different. They don't have the fibre or rubber and they make a noise. Everything is like that and not like it was before. Their price was lesser than another quote that I got. Their quality is cheap and not like the way they used to be made 10-15 years ago. It is a good door and substantial.

I spent $380 for their services. I was satisfied with them. They came on time. They did what they were supposed to do at the agreed price. I would use their services in the future too.

After they came to give the estimate and take measurements I went to their office to see samples and place an order. It took about 2 weeks to get the doors in and then another week to wait for the installation apointment. It turns out that they had ordered the wrong size. They didn't realize the doors were the wrong size until AFTER we had already removed the existing ones in preparation. So they had to install some other doors they had in stock which were the wrong style and color, and detracted from the look of the house. That was detrimental to the "curb appeal" which is very important when trying to sell a house! They had to place a new order which meant 2 more weeks to wait. After expressing our disappointment and frustration we asked for a discount. They offered $200 off, which amounted to only a 10% discount. At this point I had spent so much time dealing with them that I couldn't afford to start fresh with another company so we accepted the discount. Even though it was explicit that the house was vacant and for sale they attempted to send my invoice there twice, instead of to my home address which I had explicitly given to them. Luckily I called and found out they had charged my credit card the full amount, without deducting the $200 discount. The bookkeeper had no knowledge of our agreement and I had to contact the manager again to straighten things out. At my home, they gave me a high priced estimate for a new motor afer going to the wrong address first! In summary, their operation was very unprofessional in many ways and very tedious for me. We also discovered that they had neglected to include a handle on our home's door that they had installed a few years ago.

I went to their warehouse to choose from what they had and then their salesman came and gave me the quote on the job. They came when they said they would come but the work took a little time. They came and did the job. Their price was a bit expensive for garage doors, but the installation is good. The door to enter the garage had a stopper and I had forgotten that he had taken it down and I almost destroyed the whole garage door.

We worried that we needed to replace our garage door, but the salesman who came to the house helped us understand that several minor repairs and adjustments were all that we required. Although he explained all the advantages of installing a new door, he did not pressure us to purchase one and detailed what the repairs would cost so that we could compare repairs with replacement. In the end, we saved $1,700 by getting the repairs and adjustments. When the work was done, Carl, the repairman, took the advertised 5% off for Angie's List members. All in all, we are pleased with the service we received from Overhead Door and we would us them again.

The garage door looked fine, and I loved it. It was a great product of very high quality. I did not like the manager, and the person who was there to help wasn?t as knowledgeable as she could have been. They weren?t as communicative as they could have been at the beginning of the process, and because of that, I ordered a door that was too big. I had to install it a different way than I wanted it installed. They had to cut a little gap of about 2 inches so that water and debris wouldn?t go into the garage; however, the garage door wouldn?t stay within that gap. They blamed it on the construction. They were here at the very beginning and they could have told me how to do it, and they didn?t, because they didn?t know. I called the manager, and he wasn?t of any help. They showed up when they said they would. The guy who installed the door did just fine for what he had to work with. Their price was average. I would not use them in the future.

Our garage door came off the track on New Year weekend. We call Overhead door and got their answering service. We were called back by a service tech within 30 minutes and quoted a minimum price for coming on a weekend. He was at our house an hour later. He was able to repair the door using parts on his truck and our door works better than ever now.

Called for service at 8 am A repair man was here by 10 am and had the job done in 30 min. all in all a very good experience.
