Description of Work: Our ice machine was not producing ice. The problem was quickly solved and a new ice machine repaired that issue. Steve also found another problem that required a replacement part also. Steve is very pleasant and professional. If we have another Appliance problem, we will call on him.

Description of Work: I have used Ortega's Appliance Repair several times. Stan is the repairman I have dealt with. He is extremely professional and honest. The whole company is so organized. Everything is put on a computer, so when you call they already have a history. I have 20 year old stacked washer dryer that had minor problems- fuses blowing. In lateDec a fuse blew in my washer and Stan said if it blows again a switch will be have to be replaced due to the way the appliance was constructed. Sure enough it blew 10 days kater and I called. The company already had the information that aswitch would have to be ordered. They called the distributor and called me back with the price. Then I was told, that the fuse replacement service call would be used towards the labor of switch replacement. Then less 48 hours I got the call that the part had come in and Stan came the next day. Stan explained everything to me and explained how this should fix it. Stan travels with a laptop so he has all the histories as well. Yesterday unbeknownst to me, my washer and dryer mysteriously stopped simultaneously. I thought, oh no. I called Ortega's immediately. Within 15 minutes, Stan called me and brainstormed with me and told me to check the plug and then the breaker. Sure enough there had been a mini power outage which did not affect anything else in the house. I fiddled with the breaker which is on the back of the outside of the house . The washer/dryer was working again and I had peace of mind. This company is very responsive and punctual. You get sent a postcard for 10% off your next job too. Perhaps there are less expensive folks in town but that isn't always everything--while Ortega's prices are competitive, the quality of service is A+ and the company is extremely well run. Thank you Angie's List because that is where I found them. The recommendations from everyone else were true and I would use this company again. Absolutely.
